It seems that there's some kind of synergy with bomber boy ; the explosion was bigger and in a cross patern, like regular bombs with Bomber boy
For what it’s worth that’s a base game synergy, most of the existing Giga Bomb combinations were often just the same as regular bombs, but were difficult to use because of the tile destruction
Honestly bomber boy and nancy bombs (thanks to other buffs of this mod) have good enough synergies in the base game as is to not need a buff

i know that giga bombs are really rare, but even compared to the other synergies i feel like the glitter bombs synergy is just a _liiiiitle_ bit insane.
it is a little bit, but like I've only ever gotten to use a giga bomb once out of my thousand hours in this game so it's probably fine

I mean honestly unless you have like a d20 not really your chances of finding a giga bomb are astronomically low, plus usually if you do find them it's one or two. The picksups spawned were primarily pennies and hearts from what I see so definitely very useful but I don't think such a rare drop giving you like 13 cents 7 hearts 7 bombs and 11 keys 3 pills a card and a trinket and a battery probably wouldn't break your run or anything (those are the pickups I counted from one of the bombs they placed)
I'm amazed at how much effort went into what is essentially an extremely rare interaction - since you can pretty much only get giga bombs from bomb gaggers or Ultra War, and even then you need to have a very specific trinket (Safety Scissors), on top of having a bomb item to begin with.
(I know you can also get them from Everything Jar, but that's a rare chance thing)
I thought it was if you had 7 charges with the jar you got a giga bomb?

@@calculatortismmseven charge is a card or rune, one of the 12 room charge effects is to spawn a giga bomb.. sometimes ignited

I do think that giga bombs should be super op just because of how rare they are, probably more rare than Mama Mega since it can technically spawn anywhere, whereas you need to specificly get safety scissors before Mines (or anywhere during the Beast route but that's in the last minutes of the run anyway) for giga bombs.
Wait, question question, can you get as many giga bombs as you want or is there something that limits this?
Everything jar can also spawn a giga bomb, its rng based tho.
@@Pixedexno limit, if you get to the Mines enemy that spits giga bombs or Ultra War and have safety scissors you can get 99

I definitely think there should be more ways to get giga bombs. I like Fiend Follios King of Clubs, but I feel there should be more ways
Best one of these I’ve seen. You’re never going to get too many of these in a run so having them be so horrific and exaggerated looking really feels right for Isaac. The art is great and the effect is suitably powerful for something you’re probably gonna use once if you’re extremely lucky.
Yeah, giga bombs are so incredibly rare that these OP effects quite suit them, though I will say this makes safety scissors + ashpit absolutely gamebreaking

Bomber boy doesn't need a synergy - it's already make giga bomb blast like Tsar Bomb nuking half of the room's floor and enemies along with it.
“Yo, we heard how much you love bombs, so we put bombs inside your bombs, then put your bombs into bigger bombs, *then* we took those bigger bombs and shoved them all into an *even bigger* bomb!”
i don't know why, but I personally think glitter bombs is the 1 bomb effect you should always pick up in a run, especially with this mod on!

There really ought to be a bomb upgrade transformation 😓. Something like a 1/16 chance of replacing bomb drop with a giga bomb, and a 1/8 chance of replacing a double bomb drop.

I love all the sprites. My personal favorite has to be the Nancy Bombs.

I think the blood bombs effect might be bugged - I installed this mod recently and it seems that enemies dying to bleed always drop red hearts, regardless of what source the bleed came from
I worked on this mod, if you uninstall and reinstall the mod, that should fix itself

Kinda liked the font one I used in The Future mod showcase so I ended up doing some combo between that style and the old one. Might end up changing it a bit more.

Basically the only way to realistically farm giga bombs is by bringing safety scissors to the beast fight (definitely one of my favorite "free win" synergies) so I dont think it's a bad idea to have them all be stupidly busted. If you have enough giga bombs to abuse them then that means the run was probably already over
I feel like this would be unbalanced in Epiphany where tarnished keeper can actually just buy these

Nope. Game is programmed to always leave a valid path to each door.

Yup, I have Fiend Folio running as well. It adds entire new floor layouts so the tiny changes you're seeing is from that.
