T.Jacob is op. His brother can't be killed and doesn't trying to touch Jacob. Using Lost form you can buy devils deals and open door in mausoleum for free!
Tainted Jacob is actually quite fun mythological reference. Jacob managed to get his brother trade his birthright for some lentil soup (and later tricked his father to give him blessing instead of Esau). Esau got obviously pretty pissed afterwards and was planning to murder Jacob, who absconded. Now that you traded for two birthrights... you get two pissed-off Esaus.
It feels like having a second health bar in Minecraft... But it's cool as fuck and probably makes you feel strong as FUCK... until you manage to die with 18 full hearts and feel like you are somehow the STUPIDEST person in the planet.
Careful with Tainted Lilith's Birthright if you plan on fighting Mother! As of last update (1.7.5) the Antibirth's Knife gets linked to your Gello, and makes it impossible to open the door to Corpse. Really hope they patch this ASAP.
When repentance dropped, the three main things that stuck out to me that I thought were amazing was the tainted characters, the soul stones and birthright. I’m so glad that birthright is finally functional
Actually, I'm pretty sure cains birthright makes it guaranteed that a arcade spawns every floor, the only exception being when the floor layout makes it physically impossible to spawn an arcade (which is fairly uncommon). I say this cause arcades will even spawn in places like the womb and sheol when his birthright is active, places that normally can't have an arcade. So its very likely that the chance of getting an arcade in the game IS 100% in the games code, its just that sometimes the floor makes it impossible to spawn one.
Flip also enjoys the ability to allow items to be picked up by BOTH characters - just swap! Superposition doesn't have to be obtained for this to occur.
Fun fact, as tainted Maggie with birthright, getting 18 full heart containers, 18 bone hearts, 1 eternal heart, and the wafer, you can take 45 damage before dying.

Judas: Gets an entire fleshed out mechanic that completely changes your approach with how you use active items and could very well be an entire character of its own with some more features. Keeper: He gets an extra coin heart :)
IMO anyone who says that Tainted Jacob's birthright makes things worse has either never picked up birthright as him or is too intimidated by the presence of a second Dark Esau to realise how beneficial it is to have him around. If you just give it enough time and use him optimally, you'll realise you basically have twice the damage output as before...not to mention that both Esaus always charge simultaneously, so you never have to worry about them getting de-synced and catching you off guard.
I did his completion marks pre-buff, too. He's definitely a more solid character now, so no reason not to pull him out once in awhile for the hell of it.

I got birthright in the shop and it spawned a chaos wisp and in the silver treasure room I got a r key A DUCKING R KEY
T. Jacob's is incredibly cursed. At least they can't charge you separately and Anima Sola chains them both, so I'm glad Ed thought of that
Welp, thanks for this vid, now i know how much i wish for getting Birthright on my next runs lol
Some of these birthright should have been the characters Main gimmicks! Good examples are judas and appollyon
The tainted Laz birthright should be what the character’s gimmick was in the first place! This is what would make tainted laz fun and unique.
That’s what I was thinking too!
not really because that would make tainted laz stupid easy
i think he's balanced and fun without birthright
@@telmoth How is he balanced & fun for you? Genuinely want to know. Whenever I play that character (pre-buff & even post-buff) it just feels like I'm playing a nerfed character, receiving half the items. How is that fun for you?
@@PeeperPanda Are you unaware that now there is always a flipped version of items in pedestals other than bossrooms? Even Devil deals and angel deals spawn flipped versions after pickup.
I love that they buffed Lazarus/tainted Lazarus maggy and tainted keeper those guys are the hardest game I've ever played in my opinion
Rerolling Spoon bender and inner eye made me physically recoil
There is a bug with this birthright effect, if keeper enters knife piece 2 room, the container will be permanently removed. Even after leaving the room. 10:18
nope. you just need to pick up an hp up to bring it back.
I have a feeling apollyon's birthright effect can be abused if you can grab the item and absorb it on the same frame
Honestly Bob's Brain with Tainted Lilith's birthright seems really powerful. Because now instead of a familiar that fires out when you least expect it, you get a whip that explodes every now and then.
"I don't know, if T. Lazarus is dead or alive until I watch inside se chest."
Tainted Schrodinger.
Shut up
Tainted Jacob: May I have freedom?
Dark Easu: No.
Darker Easu: You get me instead.
Tainted Jacob: If bread in French is pain, THEN I OWN A FUCKING BAKERY!
13:53 Doesn't Eden and Jacob/Esau also have an effect from multiple copies?
tainted jacob is my favorite character, too bad i already finished his post-it... :(
i wanna try that birthright effect now
do it
Nothing can scare and impress me at the same time more then old T. Jacob mains
Btw Samson's also raises the cap of bloody gust
Honestly, I thought Birthright on TJacob was a joke, But after hearing they ALWAYS charge together,
Thats pretty busted powerful
But also incredibly dangerous
3:07 I saw that layout on a red room on Ascent
Thank you for this video!
thanks for this video I really need it
Urn of Souls or whatever also turns into synergyless Brimstone with Judas too iirc
I wonder if there's a mod that makes it so if you have all completion marks as a character, it gives them the permanent effects of their Birthright.
Except maybe Tainted Jacob, that one would be togglable.
That would be sick
That would be terrible
Lil side note to blue baby. If you have birthright and soul converter you get 2 soul hearts for using one because of how blue baby works with not able to have red hearts.
J&E: items are not random but last 3 ones
Hello , Mr Neonomi
neonomi)0)
so if i pick up more items, always last 3 get cloned?
@@aushro8664 yes
tainted lazarus birthright lookin like a stand over here
(the speed is weird af when you get it from modeling clay with him...)
tldw; birthright gives positive or slightly better effects to each character or outright gives the character the abilities their tainted variant has although it slightly differs
Thank you, the Rebirth wiki can be very unspecific at times, so I was genuinely unsure whether Tainted Lost's birthright effect is single-use or if it's once per room, like regular Lost's holy mantle.
I'm a bit confused about tainted Esau, though. I've seen him get killed, but in this video he's said to be "invincible" and takes no damage from tears. Is he only killable under certain circumstances, like when Cleaver is used on him?
Are you playing on console? T.esau is still able to be killed on it (and other changes like c section addition-Flip rework) arent added on console yet
@@somenoobdying3101 I'm playing on PC, but I still haven't unlocked Tainted Jacob. I'm not really having that much fun when playing Jacob and Esau, so I'm aiming for getting full completion marks on all other characters before moving on to them.
tainted azazel just has a strong pollen allergy in spring with birthright
But doesn't the shadow esau still make you into lost Jacob?
Which means double the death for the one of the hardest characters I'm the entire history of isaac
It doesn't add much difficulty when you take in mind they both charge at the same time.
Oh boy! I got birthright as t Jacob! Can’t wait to see what effect it has, hopefully it will stop this goddamn dark esau somehow!
Apollyon can break the game with enough time.
Tainted cain can break it in 10 minutes.
Recipes are now unique to a seed. Except some of them.
@@pustota7254 and u can plug them into the plat god recipe seed extractor
Being isaac with more options ,a birth right ,a glitched crown ,and soul of isaac (if its added by options? it kinda gives alot of it kinda makes it like a slot machine ( if it dosent work well its fixed i think)
