- In this video I show how I replace my brake hoses on my Vauxhall Cavalier, it includes how I annealed the copper washers, this process should be similar for most makes and models of cars.

Appreciate the video Steve, all good info and clear step by step instructions on changing the brake hoses. I can't see you having any trouble with the MOT, it looks spotless underneath. I must say I don't think I've ever seen a brake pipe union release so easily (testament to the condition) usually they are rusted solid and if they do move the pipe comes with it!
Hi Andy, thank you mate! No all good on the MOT thanks yes unfortunately the pipes was to easy to film really in a way it’s a shame as I would like to show how I get round when I struggle with these. Oh well it makes a good video of how it all comes apart anyway.

@@Cavalier_Steve Hi Steve, lol I know the feeling I had done a few videos like that thinking I was going to have to show a bit of effort to do something but it just came off in one go. Glad you got your MOT and happy motoring too! All good here, just very busy with car stuff but taking a wee break after all the omega work.
excellent work steve, another job i need to do on my mk3. One day i will get a garage and then crack on.
Thanks Alan, I do a lot of this work on my drive way, I keep the car in a relatives garage when I’m not using it over winter.
I would always be interested in how you get on though, the more you do the more you do the more you learn how to overcome issues that you’re faced with. It’s all part of the fun 😊

Hopefully more consistent will come in the future, I’ve half done my next welding video I have more work I want to do before I start to editing it ☺️

Yeah not to bad here thanks Steve, it's great to hear your car got it's MOT without any problems mate I got my SLK back in 2015 and it's passed every year since but I must be due a bad one soon🙄🤦♂

Yes my spelling is terrible and that’s fair enough.
I prefer watching spelling bees when I want car advice.
I would keep your small minded comments to yourself. Anyone that’s puts anything on RUclips to help out others shows a certain amount of courage and should be commended not belittled by a small minded individual who feels that they should put someone down.
Anyway good informative video, nice pace to help out anyone who is new to car mechanics.
