recent news say that a lot of negative comments responsible for "mixed" overall score now come from Chinese players angry at easy anti-cheat. I don't know the reason, but it may be preventing them from playing at all or cause huge stutters in-game probably because of its incompatibility with Chinese Great Firewall
@@LeSangDuTigre Google "Elden Ring Nexus" and you'll find the Elden Ring's "Nexus Mods" site. There you can either go to "Top Files" or "Most Endorsed," or simply use the search function to look up "Anti-cheat toggler." MASTER !!! You are a lifesaver, i didnt know you can ignore the castle thanks to you i can now collect all of Scadutree Fragment before start playing 🤝
If you're gonna use the crucible talisman and deal with the -30% DR, you might as well go look for the Talisman of All Crucibles and get backstep s too. The other effects are nearly or literally useless in PVE, but headshot negation at least removes a source of potentially RNG oneshots. I didn't know they actually let Furnace Visages be farmable though! I thought they were limited. Wild stuff, seeing as furnace pots are busted as all get out.
Do the scadutree fragments, defensive incantations, talismans, AND consumables ALL stack without restriction? I kinda assumed they didn’t, so I don’t often stack all the different types of defensive protection. I will now. Thanks, @NizarGG!
13. You don't fear death. You think it makes you strong. It makes you weak. How can you fight as long as possible? How can you run as fast as possible?
Hi Nizar. I saw your video about the str/dex bloodhound fang vagabond early build and i did the same build. And now I am slowly getting to the point where I have to choose between the death knight build and the tank build.I saw that these videos were uploaded almost two years ago. And my question is that is there any better option, or a third build since this 2 year. I'd love to see a thrid build or a better build if exists and these two is "outdated".
I found the last one to skip Ensis but for some reason can’t get to the map fragment right above it. Idk if there’s a separate path that only lead there through the castle (haven’t beaten Rellanna yet). I might just assume that’s the case for now since I don’t want to be spoiled.
You are so right about scadutree fragments. My best against radahn-miquella in scadutree blessing 6 is reaching his lat 25% health after he does his meteor and second levitating holy explosion. Then i buffed myself to scadutree 15 and easily killed him
Yo this awesome as someone who’s beat it I can definitely concur it’s difficult but fun also using the hand to hand weapons is fun but they feel very lack luster and I can’t seem to figure out what I’m doing wrong
I dont understand why everyone is so upset, they give you an item or weapon to counteract any of the enemies you have trouble with, also, the map is absolutely amazing.
Most of the enemies are reskins. Take a step back and believe in yourself. Same attacks maybe a little faster or longer weapons. The base game prepares you insanely for the DLC
It's because the casual players want an easy walk in the park game, like Breath of the Wild, and don't know how to optimize damage and defense. In other words, they're too lazy to get good. If the game wasn't difficult, it wouldn't be a FromSoft game.
I think people are so used to spamming AOW from the base game and thought this would also work here. In the dlc you have to learn the boss patterns, sure the enemies hit hard. But it's always been with FROMSOFT's dlcs. You have to git gud in order to progress. Also explore more for scadutree fragments.
This! I struggled with the Knight of the Solitary Gaol until I learned his patterns and realized I had to finally learn to parry. From there on, piece of cake
The only thing really ruining my expierence is the dumb broken boss hitboxes and my frames dropping constantly in boss fights I’m playing on the ps5 and those are the only issues I have besides that I am loving the dlc
That's simple - different builds excel at different aspects of combat, and most people do not play these games right at all. You're expected to expand your choices for attack and defense, but most people hard focus on one aspect of damage (Physical, Mage, Faith, Status effects), hence limiting their choices for dealing with situations where their "S Tier" build is not equipped to face. Also, most people don't touch crafting hardly at all (myself included... I want to play a souls game, not an MMO), and also ignore switching out talismans and buff magic for the situation (I'm somewhat guilty here as well, I almost never have defensive spells, but I also almost never needed them). It doesn't help that pre-DLC, you can usually get away with this kind of thing, and it even somewhat encourages it, where the DLC was built around using all tools at your disposal, to the extreme. While yes, you CAN still probably blow through most of the DLC with little to no issue, there are quite a few bosses sprinkled in that WILL check you for it. Messmer, Rellana, and the hippo are all examples of this - if your fire resist is low, rellana and more so messmer are going to be more difficult. Rellana also uses high amounts of magic damage throughout the entire fight, as well as physical. Name one build that's specced to deal with Fire, Magic and Physical in their build all at the same time? That list is going to be small, because most builds are focused on ONE damage type, even Nizar GG's builds are guilty of this. You shouldn't be specced, you should be versatile. The term spec is short for specialized. The fact that the game was built around versatility is apparent even near the beginning. It's the reason that ballistae start out as an in your face aspect, and routinely are placed in positions where you will only be able to hit them with a bow from certain positions (without going through ridiculously out of the way paths that render even taking them out useless if you go that way). The same can be said for enemies, where they are frequently placed in ways that if you get into melee range, you're quickly getting swarmed with stuff that will absolutely trash you, especially if you're playing the game at level. Stormveil castle is full of situations that would require a normal player to mix it up, and it was done that way for a reason. Raya Lucaria Academy is more of the same, with most enemies being more resistant to magic. This is to show you that, where magic excels in Stormveil, not every area is going to allow you to focus on just blasting at level spells and get through with 0 issues. You're expected, at a minimum, to have at least 2 damage types throughout most of the game. This is why bleed is so OP in the beginning, but drops off near the end game - status effects are another damage type, with frostbite being an alternative to bleed (with the bonus of reducing the resistance of the enemy who's frostbitten). The DLC exacerbates this, taking note of everything people have been abusing up to this point to cheese their way through the game, and outright requires you to either go in for the long haul, relying on dodging/parrying everything for the hardcore populace, to playing the game correctly - learning the mechanics and leaning into being as versatile as necessary for the situation. People who are using 2 or more damage types and getting more varied resistances are going to have an easier time, where people who are tryharding to "git gud" are going to be review bombing the dlc.
Yess I started this year and it's actually much much easier than you think, if you beat Elden ring I'm sure you can learn coding FAST 😂 but considering work you can literally work from home so I think that's enough reason to spend like an hour a day in coding
I was so relieved when I learned Rellana was an optional boss, the thought of fighting that boss multiple times is unbearable, I've heard some people say she only took them a couple of tries, but for me she was second only to Melania. Messmer got WAY easier when I used a summon, but Rellana is so damn chaotic that it actually got easier once I stopped summoning, I don't think I ever want to fight her again
I know your going to hate me for this but I actually beat her on my first attempt lol. Messmer on the other hand took me a good 50 or so attempts. Everyone struggles with different bosses. Except the final boss and then everybody struggles with that one lol
@@MattDean-o1tyeah I beat rellana and messmer both in under 20 tries, but I’m also scadu lvl 12. Mother of fingers and the pestulant knight took me more attempts, shit the fucking hippo took me a while lol
Idk, I’m no souls veteran and even don’t have a meta build but I don’t struggle that much. Beating bosses takes as long as I need to study their moveset which usually is about 30 min. I hate that people are craving attention by review bombing and screaming like a toddler not getting what they want. Of course the dlc is frustrating sometimes but it’s supposed to be like that
Right. What I've heard along is, that the complaints are mainly caused by people who are firstly confronted with the real struggle because of the anti cheat software injection.
My problem is that a lot of the DLC is riding around on the horse. Or even worse there is a HUGE area where you are forced to go on foot. I think the DLC does desrves the mixed score. There is a lot of good but also a lot of bad here.
My big gripe with the DLC - which I overall greatly enjoy - is all the trash items and, therein, exploration discouragement. There are a number of big spaces with next to nothing worthwhile, and sometimes literally nothing. So many of the items throughout the world are not only smithing stones, but low level ones at that, and stupid ghost gloverwort. Why? In the final area of the game two of the very few items to be found are freaking somber 5/6. Wtf? I genuinely wonder if FS was intentionally trolling: oh you ran around and climbed this cliff, or explored every tunnel of a dungeon, here's some smithing stone 1s for your trouble. Thanks. Why not just have put large runes (10-30k) in there place, and actually give me something of value.
When you killed him he dropped his gear and his Bell Bearing. Give the Bell to the scary lady at Roundtable and you can buy them. Edit - apparently if you kill him before getting Rya's necklace and unlocking his store he won't drop the Bell Bearing? Big oof

The game stops scaling up at NG+7, but I can see that not even the Talismans are gonna save you anymore at that point. However I'm gonna test if incantations like Black Flame Protection and the stronger elemental defense spells together with the Talismans might be useful for that situation. I went into the DLC with a new character at level 180 but I also have a level 320 character with 80 INT & FAI at NG+7, so let's see...
