- The Unholy God Fist is a crazy powerful fighter in Elden Ring, use him at your own caution. It might break Elden Ring in ways that are not imaginable to the average human mind. However, the Unholy God Fist is a completely legit and fun build using some very powerful weapons and skills. This weapon type is a favorite for many and its idea is also going to be featured in Shadow of the Erdtree, in some kind of way, making it a great build to enter the Shadow of the Erdtree as well. The build makes use of various powerful Fists weapons to make you able to punch your enemies completely into smithereens, whether it's early, mid or late game. Enjoy!

Well now with the DLC he gets 100 new weapons, and a bunch of new talismans, sorceries, incantations etc. to play with, so let's hope he stays motivated for a long while yet!

I would really like a special video about how you make your videos. They are so well done its even useful for completley different areas. How do you do the effects? How to you compose the whole thing? A behind the scene video strikes me as nessecary at this point :)

Something to consider:
For 80 STR go Heavy Star Fist. AR 508 - Bleed 45. Ignore the bleed aspect, go straight to Cragblade.
If you want to focus on bleed using a Fist weapon, this is a more optimal set up:
80 ARC go Occult Spiked Caestus. AR 455 - Bleed 88. 3% less physical damage but more bleed procs which add more than 3% phys dmg.
Still use Cragblade for the stance break.
The Flame buff looks cool, but it's just "helping the bleed proc" of an already mediocre base bleed weapon that's better at Stance breaking and phys damage (Star Fist).
Also, get a high HP mob and test the following (with and without Talisman)
- Stance break then riposte dmg
- Stance break then aviod ripost and just keep hitting the mob
I've noticed you get more damage dealt to the boss when avoiding the riposte animation and just keep hitting it.
I’m going to try your build as well, but what I like about this is its pure strength. He does say to go heavy once you get the starfist.

For those wondering how to set both fist ablaze you need to:
1. Dual wield your caestus
2. Use L2 followed by R2
3. Enjoy the awesomeness

Taking this build into a NG+ cycle allows you to use both Rotten Winged Sword Talisman and Millicent's Prosthesis, which when combined with the Thorny Cracked Tear causes your regular R1 spam to deal IMMENSE damage per second. You can further the effectiveness of this by using the Godskin's Swaddling Cloth talisman to restore HP with successive attacks (and Malenia's Great Rune if you like) to let you effectively trade hits without worrying much about your health pool.

Been using a similar build since release, and even new characters are some variation of it lol. Magic/blue ball fists, faith fists, arcane fists. It's so good.

You can get Flame Strike in the graveyard behind Redmane castle. Just approach the main gate, then turn right and circle around to the back. Your videos are excellent Nizar GG!

I am going into the DLC with a Golems Halberd with prayerful strike on it. It just bodies everything, omens, clean rot knights, it just lays them right down and heals you to boot.
EARLY GAME (HOW TO DESTROY EVERYTHING)
Step 1: Acquiring Spiked Caestus
Location: Behind the third church of Marika via a hidden teleporter to Dragonbarrow.
Cost: 4k runes from the isolated merchant.
Farming Runes: Kill militias near the bestial sanctum for 1k runes each.
Step 2: Essential Upgrades and Ash of War
Weapon: Spiked Caestus
Dex Requirement: Ensure to meet the dexterity requirement.
Flaming Strike Ash of War: Obtainable in Caelid. Adds fire damage and an AoE attack, significantly boosting DPS.
Step 3: Talisman
Blue Dancer Charm: Boosts damage for low equipped weight. Found in Highroad Cave.
Step 4: Leveling Up
Early Boss Strategy: Defeat Greyoll using a golden pickled fowl foot, and invest runes in Vigor (up to 40) and Strength.
Step 5: Upgrading Weapons
Smithing Stones: Obtain miner bell bearings 1 and 2 to upgrade fists to +12.
Flaming Shrouding Cracked Tear: Defeat the putrid avatar in Caelid.
MID-LATE GAME (BOSS FIGHTS AND UPGRADES)
Advanced Weaponry: Star Fists
Location: Left side of the colosseum in the capital.
Affinity: Heavy affinity for pure strength build.
Ash of War: Bloodflame Blade for blood loss build-up or Cragblade for stance-breaking and physical damage.
Boss Strategies
Godrick: Use jump attacks for phase 1, stay close for phase 2.
Radagon Wolf and Moongrum: Utilize high DPS and critical hits.
Renella: Focus on stance-breaking.
Fire Giant: Use charged attacks and blood loss procs. Swap flask components for charge damage.
Malenia: Stunlock with charged attacks, manage stamina carefully.
Godfrey and Radagon/Elden Beast: Use Cragblade for stance-breaking.
Final Talisman Setup
Rotten Winged Sword Insignia: For higher percentage attack power increase.
Dagger Talisman: For critical hit damage boost.
Flexible Slot: Blue Dancer Charm or Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman for defense.

Faith: Up to 33 for additional buffs (optional)
Endurance: Any remaining points for stamina and equipment load.

Yeah, honestly I made a giant's flame, Strength/Faith build a couple months back. I use the spiked Cestus as an alt weapon with flaming strike. Even with unoptimized stats It's an insane weapon.

I just bought shadow of the erdtree for ps5 and got it pre downloaded so it's ready to go tomorrow at 9. Soooo excited. I'm debating over whether to start tomorrow night or to wait till Friday and doordash some mcdonalds and have lunch and play and have the perfect start to to. It'll be hard but I might do that.

For those that don't want to bother with the Caestus and the relatively temporary fire setup, you can just grab the Morning Star from the carriage in Weeping Peninsula near Irina, and then get Cragblade right away.
It's a more straightforward transition to the star fists, and lets you put on a shield to guard counter the fuck out of everyone. The Morning Star has Bleed buildup too, so you can farm the dragon with it as well :D
I loved fist weapons in my playthrough, so this build seems tailored for me. Can you swap out for claws?

Set fists on fire by Casting flaming strike followed by heavy attack.
Aside from the hitbox, the star fists have got to be one of the best weapons in the game. I love the Iron Balls as well.

Press L2 and then follow it up with R2 and it’ll light you fists up

nice guide! tho, for the start, when you need runes, it's factually better to go to lenne's rise: if you go left instead of the bridge, at the end spawns a rolling ball that's easier to dodge and nets 2k runes each time you dodge it to the cliiff
The build has been working but it isnt stance breaking Melania nearly as easily as you have said and im stuck on her. Im using everything you did and im level 122. Do you know why?

It's cool to see a Star Fist build on this channel - I'd been using it as a weapon on my own playthrough leading to the DLC.
I'd actually been combining it with the shapeshifter build on this channel. Occult Star Fist still deals great damage (even if Heavy deals more), and Dragonmaw and dragon breaths help to provide some range for those enemies that are difficult to approach with the short-ranged fists.
Here's hoping the balance patch coming with the DLC doesn't nerf Star Fist - the short range is already the main balancing factor.
How do you set your fists, ablaze ? There's no fire for me even with fire strike on weapon?
Use the ash of war, then immediately use your heavy. You’ll do another attack and your fists will ignite for a bit.
Can you please update your magic build guide? It’s not that good in the DLC. Preferably with a summon free magic build too since I’m trying to beat Rellana with no summons but your build barely does damage

I don't know if anyone can give me some advice here, but the Malenia strat in this video is not working for me. I've just done 15 or 20 tries, and every single attempt, she either dodges the follow-up charge attack or poises through it with hyper armor. I've not yet been able to string together 2 charges and a riposte more than once per fight. Haven't gotten out of phase 1 yet, because this build also just dies to Waterfowl if it's not at full Vigor (60)
