Hi Irene! To be honest I used darken and brighten mode a lot and the camera exposure is never really consistent, so recently I stopped using the function all together. The only exception is midday with harsh light, when there’s a lot of contrast, then I like to use darken mode. Apart from that I never touch darken or brighten mode
Even your "bad" shots in your opinion were good shots to me. I'm taking my Fuji X30 and Link Wide printer with me to a wedding and shooting only black and white JPEGs.

@@DiegoFabro it went well. I ended up buying a Lomo Instant Wide for a great deal on ebay. Excited to get it.
