I jumped on the last wagon with some old Polaroid Land camera and last batch of FujiFilm film packs for it. I exposed two or three sheets. It was utterly dull. Sold it all without loss. Resolution, sharpness and size are totally worse with Polaroid/Instax. But as any film, anything you expose on it is looking great.
@@kostyafedot551 I know... the sharpness is just not there, mainly because it's next to impossible to lock focus. BUT every once ans a while you stick it and its classic. Live and learn more. Great to hear from you, Kostya!
It's been a bit of hit and miss. Started with the mini, then moved up to the square camera which I totally love, but again the inconsistency and cost associated with it drove me nuts. So I moved up to the Instax Wide printer and just print stuff off my phone. A lot more control there but some of that instant camera unknown magic gets lost.
@@LuisBorba Luis! You hit it on the head... cost and inconsistency is an almost impossible combo to ignore for long. I honestly ask for instax film or film in general for bdays, fathers day and stock up on Black Friday/Cyber Monday once a year. 👀🤦🏽♂️🤣 Damn. But, I wanted to ask, did you think the square is your fovourite? Man, I wanna shoot square instax. Heard only the good. 👌🏽 Anyways, thanks for watching. Nothing like the feel of instant film... I got my eyes on the SX-70🔥🙏🏽
I know, it's a pain to bring the Instax out, Julio. 🤣 But I love the how much I create with intention. Good exercise. Plus you get one or two images for the portfolio. 🙏🏽
Thanks for taking some instax photos. It's so challenging and fun to lose control. You never know what you will get. Especially when I come from the digital world, when you can quickly correct your mistakes. I have a instax mini 90 that I love..
Fia-Lotta! Thanks for tuning in. "Fun to lose control" is spot on. Everyday I try to get better at the craft but that can mean using and working with the same tools day in day out. Change is good. Change is a must for growth. Have a lovely day! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Great and inspiring video. Nice pictures. I very much love the one with the pigeons, and I think the framing is perfect. This video also shows that pricey equipment isn’t always necessary!
JM! Thank you for taking the video in.🙏🏽 I appreciate your words about the pics. Not always easy getting strong shots with that cam. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 What cam is your go to?
@@tahaphoto I’m lucky to have several. The Lomo Instant Square, the Lomo Automat, the SX-70 and after months of hesitating, I imported an Instax 500AF from Japan. Will be here next week! Kind of my holy grail….
Ah, yes. The instax 500af amazing. The results I've seen are way more consistent than my 300 wide. Wish I knew about it long ago. SX-70 is another classic I wanna scoop at some point. Great little collection you have!🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Yes, I usually use a mini 8, but my favorite Instax camera is the Square SQ6. On the mini 8, many of my photos are overexposed because it is very sunny here (tropical country). On the SQ6 I turn on D mode which turns the sky into an incredible shade of blue.@@tahaphoto
@TVRomulo oh snappp, you have the SQ6?! It would be my last instax if I get it. Too over priced.. I actually got the instax square printer... great buy!! The idea at first was gimmicky to me BUT the colours are beautiful. GREAT investment. Now I use any image I make and print it square. My fave instax in terms of feel is the wide 300. Dope colours again, but love the landscape vibe. the square tho... so dope!
I looked for months before getting an SQ6 for a good price, they are charging too high a price. I don't understand why Fuji stopped producing the camera. In macro mode and natural light, you can take a bukeh portrait that looks beautiful. I believe we will have an "Instax Evo Square" soon, if they follow the Instax Mini 40 X Instax SQ40 line... Instax Mini Evo vs "Instax SQ Evo". I hope this becomes a reality as it would also work as a printer.@@tahaphoto
Скажите, пожалуйста, а эта пленка только черно-белые фото или цветные печатаются на ней? Или нужно ставить режим ЧБ на фотоаппарате и снимать на эту пленку ?
Dade! Thanks for watching. Yes, I used the INSTAX MONOCHROME film. Each composition was a challenge.. Lots of fun shooting in BW! What are you currently shooting with?
@@tahaphoto s23ultra, gr iii but i struggle so hard with snap focus i feel stupid but normal focus is great lol, dusted off the nikon coolpix p4, also play with my p900 and canon 80d and xs ;p and i just got the mini evo so been playing with that and very tempted to get the ektar half frame ;)
@DadeWilliams oh wow! You out here experimenting! Seems like a variety of different focal lengths and camera bodies. 🫡 I shoot street with my GRII and galaxy S20 5G, but I'll mix it up from time to time with ektar h35 and nikon Lite Touch. I juat like challenging myself with a small set-up. Keep snapping, the process is everything.🙏🏽
1,4,8, and 9 are definitely great shots. I would love the challenge of instant film but its just too unsharp and undetailled to pay that much for it unfortunately in my opinion. Like you can get great results but it feels a bit more like a gamble at times
You hit it on the head with all points. I feel I'm intrigued by the process and hopeful that I WILL get that sharp, crispy, beautiful shot!!!😊🙃 Either way, I have to keep challenging myself for growth. Thank you for watching, friend.🙏🏽
