Divine Intervention is a great album that deserves more praise in general imo. Killing Fields, Sex. Murder. Art., Fictional Reality, Dittohead, Title track, Circle Of Beliefs, SS-3, 213... Killer album. Paul Bostaph is awesome on the drums as well. Replacing Dave Lombardo is no easy feat. The last truly great Slayer album imo. Awesome album artwork as well. Props to that fan that carved Slayer into their arm. Remember seeing video of it back in the day.🤘
@@caitycoreThis is a great example of how we perceive things out of their time. This was common knowledge back in the day but it is not even unique as a concept. It is interesting that the song title out of context is more startling than a painting of a man with his arms cut off surrounded by heads in a sea of blood.
Your backdrop is fun! I agree with just about all of your rankings. The exception, and I might be alone in this amongst Slayer fans, is that not only would I place Show No Mercy in the best tier, but it's my favorite. I know the production is lacking, but I think it has their best guitar solos, the songwriting was top-notch (sometimes your first ideas are your best ones), and it's my favorite Araya singing album.
Omg thank the algorithm cause it lead me to your channel of course I saw your amazingly hilarious Dave Mustaine reel and I always hoped I’d stumble on your channel! I love your “boring” category because it’s a perfect description for how I feel about those particular ones and we share a lot of similar opinions… “The Antichrist” has always been my fav song off of SNM. SOH is my personal favorite also all your points about it is EXACTLY how I feel. Awesome and entertaining video thank you!
hell Awaits is my favourite Slayer album, and Show No mercy is my second best. one of the big reasons Hell Awaits sounds heavier is that they dropped the tuning. Show No mercy is, I believe, the only Slayer album in standard E tuning. They arguably hadn't found their real niche yet, but I think that's part of what makes it so great. You can hear the moment Slayer really found their sound, and it is on the Haunting the Chapel EP that came out between those two albums, specifically on the song "Chemical Warfare". I'm not normally very into tier ranking videos, but I like the way you give your thoughts about the albums. This is the first video I've watched on the channel, though youtube recommended me another one before. I'll subscribe. Cheers!
Hell Awaits is a great album. Definitely in my top 3 Slayer albums. One album I think deserves more praise is Divine Intervention. Album is jam packed with great songs and Dittohead is killer.
Solid ranking ! And I'm with you, Diabolus In Musica is very decent. By any means is a great album but I think you definitely can have some fun with it, especially if you like some Nu/Groove metal stuff. What I would definitely change is putting God Hates All in the good ones, I love the groove and aggression of that record
Mostly agree but I'd give Divine Intervention another shot, maybe just listen to individual songs if it seems like they're blending together, there's some great stuff on that album. It's even underappreciated by the band, the only song that consistently remained in their setlist was Dittohead.
@@SuperStrik9 I always wanted to see them do Serenity In Murder live and I got to ask them about that, Tom said they planned on playing it but the vocals during the verses were too tough to pull off live and they didn't want to use any backing tracks. Got to respect that.
Our top 3 are pretty much identical. South, Seasons, and Reign are all basically perfect, in my opinion. 100% agreed on Show No Mercy and Hell Awaits, too. However, your takes on Diablous and Repentless are actually how I feel about Divine Intervention and God Hates Us All. I think Divine Intervention had some cool experiments on it, almost feeling a bit atmospheric, and Dittohead is just an absolute ripper. GHUA is just so unreasonably pissed off that I can't find a reason to dislike it, lmao. Songs like Payback and War Zone are ridiculous, and I do love the groovy cuts like Bloodline and Here Comes the Pain
That was a hard thing to do, I wouldn't want to try it. South of Heaven is probably my favorite (though I love Reign and Seasons). Ghosts of War and Live Undead stand out and I too love Tom's voice on this one. I love that Diabolus gets some love cuz I think it deserves it. Maybe cut Undisputed some slack for being a cover album...but other than that, learn Ghosts of War on guitar and you won't be sorry. It's really fun! The most metal thing you can do is be honest about what you like.
Good list….I’ll go from best to not the best(Slayer has no bad albums) 1. South of Heaven 2. Reign in Blood 3. Hell Awaits 4. Seasons in the Abyss 5. Christ Illusion 6. Show No Mercy 7. Divine Intervention 8. God Hates Us All 9. World Painted Blood 10 Repentless 11. Undisputed Attitude 12. Live Undead 13. Diobolus in Musica 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
My ranking for the Slayer albums would be 12. Diabolus In Musica 11. Undisputed Attitude 10. Divine Intervention 9. Christ Illusion 8. God Hates Us All 7. World Painted Blood 6. Repentless 5. Show No Mercy 4. Hell Awaits 3. South Of Heaven 2. Reign In Blood 1. Seasons In The Abyss
Wow, I'm so mad at you. Divine Intervention is clearly number one, Hell Awaits is two, and Seasons is three. You must listen to Divine Intervention repeatedly until you get it. Incidentally.....Hello Kitty?
Slayer is like Motorhead, it has no bad albums.

Great channel. Not long subscribed. Hell Awaits has always been my favourite. Looking forward to your list
Undisputed Attitude is not really a original Slayer album. It's a covers album with I think three original new Slayer songs included.
Great list!!
I had no idea! I’m not much of a punk fan, but that changes my perspective on the album a bit!

guilty of being white is a cover of a minor threat song, the genius page for that song explains it pretty well

Agreed.

Dittohead SMOKES. Killer track. I love Divine Intervention. 🤘
do you have a spotify playlist?
Are you planning on doing a qna?
Disciple is one of the bands modern greats. Genuine question, have you been to a Slayer show, especially an early on?
FUCKING SLAYERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! This is the way!!!!!!

My ranking for the Slayer albums would be
12. Diabolus In Musica
11. Undisputed Attitude
10. Divine Intervention
9. Christ Illusion
8. God Hates Us All
7. World Painted Blood
6. Repentless
5. Show No Mercy
4. Hell Awaits
3. South Of Heaven
2. Reign In Blood
1. Seasons In The Abyss
You know that Undisuted Attitude is a covers album, right? The only song they wrote was the last one on the album.
Undisputed is an album of classic punk and hardcore covers.
Your tier list is basically on par with mine. I don't think any of their albums are objectively bad, but they do have some boring albums for sure.
Divine is so underrated.
Divine Intervention is not boring! Even a bit prog. But otherwise, I agree.
Divine Intervention RULES.🤘
Please rank Alter Bridge albums🤘🏻
I’m a bit behind on their stuff, I haven’t listened much since around 2014 or so. Maybe I’ll do a deep dive soon!!
Listen to all their songs, as a die-hard metalhead, I promise you, you won't regret it!
It's true that Slayers best years were the early ones, but that equates to Metallica even more so.
Wonderful eyes 🌹
Wow, I'm so mad at you. Divine Intervention is clearly number one, Hell Awaits is two, and Seasons is three. You must listen to Divine Intervention repeatedly until you get it.

Divine Intervention RULES. Such a great album. 🤘
Reign in Blood>any album by any band.
There's a PLAGUE of RUclipsrs saying "Expecially".
Stop it...
Mostly agree with your list, but I would bump Reign down to boring, and Show No Mercy and God Hates Us All to best 👌🏻🫡
Reign is the pinnacle. God Hates Us All is brutal, love Disciple.
