Looks like all you gotta do is file down the rear posts. I think I'd much rather do that for cowitness. Just in case the optic had a failure. definitely trust holosun, but things happen
You're absolutely right-it's possible to grind off the posts using a Dremel tool. However, it's important to note that not everyone is skilled with this tool, and there's a risk of damaging the firearm's finish if not done carefully. This plate offers a convenient solution and simplifies the installation process. That said, if you're confident and experienced with a Dremel, you can definitely go ahead with grinding down the posts as you suggested. BTW - Thank you for watching my video! Yes - the foot print is the same for the Pro. Remember that if you don’t use the plate you’ll have to grind down the legs because the red dot just won’t sit all the way down. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question! I don’t co-witness my sites but I expect that if you prefer co-witnessing it will be just fine! Consider subscribing for more tips and tricks! 😉👍🏼
I refrained from doing so because the screws included in the kit already had "Loctite" applied to them. It's worth mentioning though, if your screws lack pre-applied "Loctite," it's advisable to apply some and let it sit for 24 hours before use.
Nice video sir! Thanks for sharing it!

Do you have to disassemble it!
You don’t have to BUT I think it makes the process a lot easier. Plus it forces you to ensure the pistol is clear and safe.
Hows the cowitness?

I noticed the bottle of loctite. Do you use that?
