  • Today we take a look at a brand new barbell from Buddy Capps, the Texas All American Bar. This bar is marketed as the best all around gym bar, but does it live up to the hype?

Always a good video when Brandon is talking about shafts, snatches and jerks.

Bought mine during Covid. It was the only place taking new orders, waited 3 months. I love it 4 years later!

Nice review, bud. Looks like a nice bar. I love that iconic TB look with the recessed caps and the thick collar. I'd love to see some other finishes on the shaft, but that seems unlikely.

Got to admit, the price you paid for that bar makes it kinda perfect no matter what. :)

Awesome review man! Thanks for the info. Also, could you do a review on the Texas Power Bar?

I'm in the market for a bar... had been leaning towards a Rogue but now thinking maybe Texas. Really haven't given Texas much thought because never really hear much about them. Thanks for the timely review.

Great review Brandon. I am curious about your statement regarding the Texas deadlift bar. Not sure if I remember you reviewing this or the Rogue deadlift bar but I was wondering if you ever compared them.

    2 inches can mean a lot...on a bar...in terms of knurling.

Looks like my Rogue 1.2 Ohio bar. You're right the black zinc does wear off.

Hi Brandon ;) How do you compare the black zinc of OPB (looks like painting..) with that of Texas bars ? Texas Bars looks much more natural, thiner, more like black oxide treatment than a form of coating (altought its not advertised as black oxide)... Do you think the finish of texas bars feel more like bare still than the zinc of OPB ?? Also, does the texas bars finishing lasts longer than OPB zinc ? Thank you once more ! Cheers from Brasil!

Is the All American bar ok for doing deadlifts on or should I purchase the Texas deadlift bar that’s specific for deadlifts? I would like to know your suggestions

Hi Brandon, how does this compare to the SS bar they also make besides the finish? Is the knurling different? Which of these two do you think is better as per description they seem like the same bar. Thanks.
