Just bought this bar as a reward to myself for completing 3 month of Strong Lifts. I had previously been using the Delta Basic bar. Both bars look and feel fantastic. I do not see myself ever needing to upgrade.
I just returned my Double Black Diamond for this, I hope it feels better in the hands. The double black diamond felt like needles going into my hand, would have just gone with the Colorado bar, but I hate the end cap and I wanted a center knurl.
Thank you so much for posting this! I get a ton of push back from hard core lifters who swear by the most aggressive knurl. It's almost like a competition of who can have the tougher hands, I guess. For 95% of people out there, the mountain style knurl DOES feel like needles poking your hand. And once you add weight, it's not comfortable at all. I can only beat that drum so many times, so it's great to hear from an actual user. You'll definitely like the single black diamond better! Lemme know how you feel once you get it.
@@GymCrafter The single black diamond is incredible, perfect really. LOVE the red cerakote. If they had it in a 15kg I would return it for that so I could just have one barbell for my wife and I

Sweet looking bar brotha.i got there helios 32mm a few weeks ago .i like it as an all around power bar even tho its designed to be a squat bar. Makes standard power bars feel like toys lol.
You mentioned that you ordered the SS version of this bar. Curious how the knurling of the SS version compares to the Rogue SS OPB? I know you said this cerecote version was less aggressive than the OPB, but curious how the SS version compares to the OPB? Thanks!
@@waterprosurge Fairly comparable. The Rep isn't as sharp, but has pretty much the same grip. I do like the SS better than the Cerakote for sure. But both are really solid bars!

I would put the OPB between the single and double black diamond. It's one of the most aggressive volcano knurls I've tried (I wasn't a fan of the bar for that and other reasons, but lots of people love it).
Hey Tim, Thanks for the reviews. I now have a little bit of buyers remorse. I purchased the double black diamond in Cerakote and it is an excellent power bar. However, I'm not a power lifter. I'm 52 years old and just started strength training a few years ago. I came from endurance sports triathlons. I feel the black diamond would be a better fit for me. What is the difference between the knurling in the double black diamond Cerakote, compared to the stainless steel black diamond? I'm thinking about selling the double black diamond to purchase the stainless steel black diamond
I just posted a video showing a detailed knurling comparison of those 2 (a total of 7 bars in the video) and my specific thoughts on both. IMO, the ss black diamond is the way to go unless you really want a black bar. Neither is sharp like the double black diamond, though. I just ordered a stainless steel black diamond for my gym as one of the folks I train has one. and I love it. It's enough different to replace my black one with it.
I just got home and had my dogs with me. By the time we all got inside (I park outside of the garage, the gym is more important!) and I pulled the bar in, it was freezing!
Working on the 5th version now. The first four just came out confusing and unfelpful. I've also been able to let some of my personal training clients use them over the last few weeks and got some pretty good insights from them (hint, they ALL like the single black diamond better than the double). Should be out by the end of the week at the latest. Thanks for asking

Step two - Spend tens of thousands of dollars of your own money for all the products you review in those 5 years. Step three - Spend a stupid amount of time creating and editing YT videos (for which I make about $8 a month). I'll give you steps 4, 5, and 6 once all that's done, just lemme know.

It’s a great bar. I have the duracoat sleeves, with black cerakote shaft. Knurling is spot on.
