I have watched many Damon Motorcycle interviews, and this is the most in-depth explanation of their motorcycles I’ve seen. I am not sure what voodoo hypnotized their team, THANKS. TAKE MY MONEY!
@@EazyTheRecon As I understand it, they have not started production yet. The manufacturing facility they are building in Canada is looking closer to finished day by day. We will probably start seeing them on the road in the next year or two if they can stay on track.
Really enjoyed the interview. I actually have a Hypersport on order. I got my pre-order in I want to say like 2019 or so to be honest. So I think a 2023 date is reasonable from what I've been seeing with manufacturing. The thing Dom didn't mention is its a home delivery too. There aren't any dealers, they ship to you and set you up at home. At least that was the latest talk. And there's a subscription instead of purchase, so every two years you can trade in for a new one if you want and they get to build up a used inventory. Yeah I'm very excited, this will fit my daily riding perfect.
They are making some great progress on the new manufacturing facility in Canada. Inching closer day by day! Thanks for watching. I am excited to see them hit the road in the coming years 🙂
Well done I’ve lately been infatuated with electric bikes so I will be looking into getting on of these. It’ll be nice for me because I don’t want to fully go gas.
This is how indi race teams operate as well. There are a dozen motogp and ama teams that have done this in the past. Also this is pretty much a industry standard in the custom crusier scene, they all use the same motor company...... s&s. Oh in the 2000s Kawi made the frames etc an Suzuki made the motors and vise versa across almost 20 lines of bikes and four wheelers. If you rode a bike from the early 2000 from Kawasaki or Suzuki it was made by both. If you don't believe this, go look up the agreement they had with each other, some funky stuff they had going on, it was limited to certain lines though
@@mayoluck the difference is those companies don't claim that they developed everything in-house from the ground up internally with no outside assistance. Unlike Damon.
Looking into making the Hypersport HS my first EV. I really love the design and the technology baking the HS. That copilot feature is really jaw dropping tbh.
It's cool, but I'll wait to see how they turn out, if they ever get produced. Currently ride a BMW M1000R, so similar performance numbers. Just less noise on the Damon lol
@@MissGoElectric ... and no one asked? It's the first thing I noticed. Why a clutch lever on an electric bike. I hope it's not a brake lever (like an ATV or scooter) cuz that would be lame.
The safety features are amazing. Sadly we should first fix & upgrade our attitude & awareness on the road. Enggineers had to squeeze their brain to safe us
3:04, We see a ZERO motor model 75-7 and also a GW charger also used in the ZERO. The ZERO motor is 52kW, not 200hp, why showing this frame which is not relevent to the Damond design?
there is no 70kWh battery motorcycle.. The Damon and Lightning are both the top at 20kWh. there is actually no techbnology capable packing 70kWh into a motorcycle frame that would be drivable
@@Doctorbasss not yet. Pretty sure I didn't comment that for no reason tho I'm not rewatching the video. Someone's obviously expecting to get a 70kwh pack eventually. 🙄
I watched one video about damon hypersport in youtube, where the CEO of Damon said Damon hypersport will reach 0-100 MPH in less than 4 seconds. That's what got my attention. At present no PRODUCTION Superbikes will reach 0-100 mph in less than 4 seconds.
The co pilot ‘safety’ features are rather alarming on this. We’ve all been in cars that have this tech and they suddenly think you’re going to crash into something so slam the brakes on. I’d rather not have any technology interfering in my riding. As a biker you should be hyper alert to surrounds as is
Hope they get into sales too. There first Damon is still not out. Weird safety measures. Why would 6 phase be a safety feature. For motor controller I can see that. Albeit 2 fases give lots of drag too. But for a motor fail it sounds weird. I don't buy that radar system. As a biker you already have more awareness. And you don't use screen info when paying attention to the road.
If this bike goes into production and delivery, we hope to visit the factory. That would be a great opportunity for us to ask these questions and more.
@MissGoElectric I considered Zero but the hidden features that should've been already part of the bike were behind a paywall on the app with extortionate prices attached
It's a really amazing machine underneath, but covered in way too much pointless fluff and buzz words. The safety systems are clearly designed by a talented tech team who has never ridden a motorcycle. I've been riding all my life, have several racing championships in three different disciplines as well as 30 years experience riding on the street. I can confidently say that the absolute last thing I would ever want in a stressful, near miss situation would be some alert system pulling my attention away from avoiding said crash, only to remind me that I'm about to crash. Really counter intuitive. Light Weight is key to motorcycle performance, especially an EV. I've never once wished for a system that would add weight to the bike in exchange for on the fly bar and peg adjustments. Adjustability is great, but can really be setup before a ride and left that way. In addition, having the primary controls of a motorcycle be moveable parts seems rather unsafe. I prefer my handle bars to be firmly attached to the motorcycle at all times thank you. Hopefully some sort of "budget" model will arise with the full power of that amazing powertrain and none of the tech fluff. That would be an amazing machine.
The more I hear about Damon, the more dodgy it all sounds. Too much marketing talk and not enough actually producing a rideable bike (even a prototype).
I have yet to see a full video of even a prototype or demo unit operating even on a closed circuit or parking lot. With them set to ship units this year. You would think you would have seen something like that.
@@MissGoElectric Propel Endeavor Pro 2 , Acedeck 4wd , Mboards and Trampa boards would be something friendly for your day to day rider and then we have the "hyper beasts" stooge racing boards, Bio Boards and Raith boards

Amazing shot of an off the shelf Zero motor @3:00 thank you for clarification they are just using tech from other companies.
It helps keep pricing down.

One awesome motorcycle.
We hope to see customer deliveries at some point.
My main concern is about the ability to replace the battery since it comes as a all with the engine and the frame.
Battery replacement is part of the planned maintenance of any EV in much the same way engines come out the way they went in.
