Been updating myself on electric motorcycles, good to see there a so many companies put there making new and hopefully good products. Thanks for the video!
Unfortunately half of these bike are juste not in production, Verge, Lightning, Damon, Arc Vector, are just protypes (if not scam for some of them). Please stop compare them to bike we can really ride on like LiveWire, Zero or Energica.
Your definition of long range is way lower than mine. I am glad they are getting higher numbers than the early models. With these ranges and the current charging structure even if they could use Tesla SuperChargers, there are so many places they cannot go.
Now I just need to win the lottery to be able to buy one of these bikes. I am looking for the longest range but definitely not getting there the fastest.
I am a long distance touring rider. 400 to 600 mile days are normal for me. I will consider an electric motorcycle when I find one with a 300 mile range at 75 miles per hour that can carry a 200 pound rider plus 50 pounds of camping gear. It has to recharge in less than 30 minuets
An EV motorcycle with these abilities would be so heavy at this point of development you could not get it off of the side stand. It would still take 4 to 6 hours to charge providing you can find a charging station. Where I live the electricity to charge it will cost 40 percent more than gasoline. Maintenance on one of these things is much higher than the green dream bunch are trying to sell you on. Compared to modern gas motorcycles the dependability of the EV is totally unacceptable to anyone but a liberal politician. Thank Booty Gigged !!!!!!!
I believe you said long distance riding !!!! I ride twice the range of these bikes you have here in the morning and then again in the afternoon. I just don’t have the 4 hour charging time providing I can find a charging station. Local in town is what these bikes are really capable of. For the prices you listed for the better ones I can buy three MT09 s with money left over.
That’s it in a nutshell. The sad part is that these bikes should be getting 300 miles to a charge no questions asked and at least 165 combined. And lastly the price, for now, these things shouldn’t cost more than 20 grand.
For that price just get a proven high quality bike from suzuki, kawasaki, Indian etc... the livewire will be incredibly obsolete in just a few short years, while a bike like the zx6r, or the mto7 wont be obsolete for a century
$29k for the Harley Livewire!? Whack........ and only 140 city miles?! Wonder if it would be possible to add regenerative braking to recharge the battery?
I’m wondering why the channel here features a 2021 Lightning Strike in this “10 Longest Range Electric Motorcycles in 2023” video. Also, wondering why Brandon Nozaki Miller gets a name credit on the Lightning Strike feature section, since he has nothing to do with Lightning Motorcycles.
I love the Livewire but I sat on one at a carshow, way too agressive seating position, very uncomfortable. Needs different handlebars and footpegs. Changing this would be expensive because it's a very well made bike. I also love the Verge But that headlight is ugly, why couldn't they put the two lights next to eachother? 🙄
I suspect many of these are not actually available yet. They seem too good to be true. What about the Big Four? Range is not the most critical factor for a motorcycle. There are many many factors but charging infrastructure is critical for long trips.
Look up motorcycle skill test in your state. Under gear shift ride it would state "This is only performed on motorcycles with a clutch and gears." If it states that you can use an electric motorcycle
I could see myself making payments on an SR/F (14.4), Verge, Livewire Del Mar ($16k USD), or an Energica. I'll know how much range I need once I upgrade from my 40ah (72v 4kwh) battery to possibly a 40+50ah set up.
@@maguslascivious4980they still have that ? I remember when I was looking to buy one years ago they started that shyt but it was online options but it was expensive total price to add shyt that’s stock on gas bikes
Behold the progress, and this progress will forever will bury rock and roll soul. The pain of my generation. Friends, perhaps we had to live in the best time, after all, we are at the crossroads between the new era and Kosnervatism. P.s Great looking bikes 🙏
I think more and more people are waking up to the absolute spin (Lying) about EVs. Using phrases like "Could" and "Up to" and " In the city".....then TRYING to fool people by quoting KPH instead of MPH....probably the cheekiest lie was at the start of the vid, "....a range rivalling any petrol bike....!"....maybe so, but a petrol bike doesn`t take a wait of 5 hours to fill up again and with the petrol bike when you fill up you get a full tank and use near on 100% of the fuel, whereas with the EV only 60% of the claimed range is used (20%-80%)
range in city is not something to consider when it comes to buying a road-bike ! I am sick of all those : up-to 300 miles .... a motorbike consumes 12/15 kw/h/100 km @ 130 km/h ! so it is clear that they can do more then 150 km
Range goes way down when you go from city to highway. These bikes are specifying a highway range around 100 miles. I assume that means starting with a 100% charge and running it down to 0. Since we typically start looking for a charger at about 20%, and do a quick charge to about 80%, that's a useful range on the highway of only 60 miles. Highway range has barely changed in the last 5 years; perhaps a 10% improvement. California has mandated that by 2035, every new vehicle in the state must be electric or hybrid electric. As far as I can tell, California has done nothing to expand the charging grid. Electric vehicles are useless if you can't charge them. To accommodate electric motorcycles, they will need a charging station every 30 miles on every highway, backroad, and forest road, and every small community and junction in the state. That's just 11 years away. In the late 1800's, early 1900's, no one had to mandate that all carriages be gas powered. Early horseless carriages got their fuel from the General Store in 5 gallon cans. As cars became more common, service stations popped up. Cars became dominant because they were better. No one tried to ban horses. You could still buy a horse and ride it into the hills. There is no need to mandate electric cars. The market is growing. If California wants to encourage use of electric vehicles, they need to build the infrastructure. They shouldn't be mandating anything until they have the charging stations in place.
I'm just hopeful that I've still be alive and riding when there is FINALLY a touring motorcycle that my wife will LOVE getting on the back of, have ENOUGH storage, and gets up to MINIMUM 200 miles range on one charge BEFORE I start having to worry about charging. BEFORE I start worrying about charging. BEFORE I start having to worry about charging. Is that nuts? NO! You don't see cars having only 200 miles of range and I'm not a motorcycle riding with an IQ of 25. I KNOW when to stop and take a rest. And by the way, I want to be able to ride to where I'm getting and then plug in and having it charge up over night and then be ready to ride some more. Notice I didn't mention anything about charging --during-- the day? Right? Because the fun of riding a motorcycle is --riding-- the motorcycle. Not the charging bit. And if you aren't smart enough to know when you stop and rest, maybe you shouldn't be the one holding onto the handlebars. So what would ___I___ like for a motorcycle? Think of a Honda GoldWing or BWM K1600 top of the line with 200 miles of range where I'm going between 65 and 80 mph all day long non stop. Honestly, I would prefer 400 miles of range. But I know that won't happen during my life time. And BTW, I've ridden from Seattle to Springfield, MO in 4 ½ days and was well rested when I got there. My wife was actually disappointed the destination wasn't longer. Not that we wanted to go to Florida but we were just enjoying our ride so much. You just have to have the right vehicle for the job. And the ride that we had at the time, as 1200 cc 1987 Honda Goldwing Aspencade was THE bike for that ride. And I can't wait for there to be an electric bike equivalent to that to come around. I'm talking about range, speed, handling, comfort, storage, and not just some of those but ALL of those. When I can comfortably go from Seattle to Springfield, MO in 4 ½ days on a motorcycle, while pulling a cargo trailer with all our camping gear in it like we did on our '87 GoldWing, to me, that will be when electric motorcycles will have arrived. PS: Think I'm an old fart because I liked our GoldWing for our long trip? Ask your significant other how happy they are after an almost 2200 mile trip in 4 ½ days and then come talk to me. And we ride back to Seattle five days later after putting another 600 miles on our GoldWing riding around the greater Springfield, MO area during that week.
So we just gonna act like we didnt just hear this mofuka say 1000 foot pounds of torque!!! Like wtf kind of scale of measure do electric bikes run off! Bruh one fuckin thousand!?!?!!?
IDK why yall talk about 2021 bikes with a label of 2023 on the vid..
@Techcharge.. if I get one for a roblox gift card 😞😔😞😔😞😔
Because they’re talking about the best bikes available.. not just available bikes from 2023
With basically no idea what a long ride is, less than a hour and half is not a long ride at highway speeds
Now, updated title to 2024 ... 😂
1 year ago, titled 2024.. good stuff.
Been updating myself on electric motorcycles, good to see there a so many companies put there making new and hopefully good products. Thanks for the video!
Why the ICE sounds between clips for electric bikes?
One day in my life I want to buy myself one of these biks that are definitely listed on this video
Just added this video to our electric motorcycle playlist.
Unfortunately half of these bike are juste not in production, Verge, Lightning, Damon, Arc Vector, are just protypes (if not scam for some of them). Please stop compare them to bike we can really ride on like LiveWire, Zero or Energica.
And how about the Lightning LS218? Did they improved the battery life at high speed?
Your definition of long range is way lower than mine. I am glad they are getting higher numbers than the early models. With these ranges and the current charging structure even if they could use Tesla SuperChargers, there are so many places they cannot go.

I'd like to have one of this.
I've been looking at evoke Classic just wish they'd mass produce for UK
A lot of 2021/2022 specs… where are the 2023 models?
300 miles at 5 mph!
When the big four offer E bikes these companies will probably go away.
Be quick if you want a energica they’ve just gone into receivership 😊👍

You sound like a dickhead. But your comment is absolutely understandable. I don’t even understand why the video was titled “long distance bikes”

Wait a few years for when the solid state batteries come out

yeah i know about these bike and i like them ..... i wish i have money
The future design of motorcycle should be least the back tire should be covered like the old Vesta

Not sure what you consider a long ride, but 100 miles is not a long ride, that’s less than a hour and half at highway speeds
If manufacturers stopped worrying about killer torque and 0-60 times they could make a decent bike for everyone that just might be successful.
The livewire 1 is 16, 998 before tax and license fees here in my state, and in used condition too. Might go with it if i can get my $25k
For that price just get a proven high quality bike from suzuki, kawasaki, Indian etc... the livewire will be incredibly obsolete in just a few short years, while a bike like the zx6r, or the mto7 wont be obsolete for a century

I’ve got the weirdest feeling that Harley is gonna be a big fish in a few years.
Indian ev company ola is going to launch a bike which almost looks the same as the arc vector.
looks fun
So 150 miles is where they are all at. Thanks. So you can commute an hour out and an hour back…

There are many many factors but charging infrastructure is critical for long trips.
You missed Kollter RS1 with 128 miles for $10k.
Harley-Davidson in general is expensive. It's more a lifestyle brand than a motorcycle manufacturer these days. Hell, for decades.
I have a question can you get a m1 license with a electric motorcycle?
Look up motorcycle skill test in your state.
Under gear shift ride it would state "This is only performed on motorcycles with a clutch and gears."
If it states that you can use an electric motorcycle
But the price excludes most riders.
Top speed allowed in the US is 70 mph or 112 km/h
No electric motorcycle can compete on range with the most efficient internal combustion engines.... what are you talking about???
2024 Kawasaki Ninja e-1
Ride for 150-200 miles , done for the day ? Pretty much

talk about range?? are u gonna commute in eco mode or what? totally defeating the point 👎🏼
Had to give this video a thumbs down as it's catered only for those in the US. It only gives range and speed in miles
The range of electric motorbikes is a joke. You have to drive like a priest to obtain the promised range.
