Hola hola guys! What do you think about this sunscreen guide series? Any specific requests for a video concept? I also want to point out how much our filming and video quality has changed since a lot of these application shots are a year old at this point. We've grown so much! While some of the applications look *questionable* I can confirm that all the ones I mention here don't leave a cast on me, and the reviews also link to other creators with deeper skin who've tried and enjoy the sunscreens as well! Lighting and film quality can make things look worse than they appear! xoxo
Do you think you can try out “coral-reef friendly” sunscreens like livingkoa, all good, raw elements, etc? Love the vids btw, they’re so helpful!

Great request! I personally dont think the studies showcase a realistic likelihood that sunscreens cause reef damage. The studies showcasing the ‘damaging’ effects of uv filters on coral use fabricated environments with unrealistic concentrations of UV filters to create exaggerated conditions. Based on the experiments done, even Zinc and Titanium Dioxide present some danger to coral. Lab Muffin covers the topic well on her channel, but realistically, the implication of reef damage due to sunscreens is very, very, very mineral compared to much larger scale issues invoked with environmental pollution that large agencies are choosing to skirt around or neglect.
I tried the eucerin one following your recommendation and it's maybe...the best? Like my skin looks so good I save it for when I am going outside to see people because I dont want to use it up. It is so so good
I love that you gave so many recommendations and also both matte and radiant finishes! I usually just buy something and hope for the best but having this as a frame of reference will really focus my next purchases!
The only one who will DARE to recommend a Kroger sunscreen. 😍 Reminds me that I've been pretty caught up in aspirational marketing hype. 😅 You are the best, man.
I have the both the Biore Watery Essence and the the Biore Athlizm sunscreens. They start off great when I first apply in the morning, but by noon I am a grease ball....especially in my T-Zone! I've tried not putting moisturizer under the them, putting moisturizer under them, and I still get the same effect... it's crazy! I have combo/oily skin....I'm dry under my eyes but oily everywhere else!
Biore and KOSE suncut have changed the game FOREVER !! thanks to u i found abt KOSE and am obsessed 🥰😍🙌 and it is soo cheap compared to the amount u get !
I am interested in both the Sun bum and Black Girl sunscreen because they are vegan and cruelty-free. However, the Black Girl sunscreen reapplication isnt recommended on top of make-up?
Hey! I’ve been using the Eucerin oil control for like 2 months and I really love it but I recently found out it has alcohol denat in it. I didn’t had any breakouts or dryness but I saw it could be harmfull on your skin if you use it frequently. Any thoughts about it? Should I change my sunscreen? 🥰
The Jack Black is both too oily/emollient on my skin, doesnt work well with makeup, AND it breaks me out :s I have very oily skin and the weather is hot and humid here. Idk why its in the matte/oil controlling section. Must be a skin type/weather difference
YESSSS, the Suncut sunscreen is so good. Your review is one of the reasons why I bought it! The most lightweight sunscreen I ever use. The only cons for me is it pills on me but every Japanese chemical sunscreen pills on me anyway. I'm planning to buy the milk version soon
I just bought the Kose Suncut milk! I haven't tried the gel or essence either so I'm really interested to hear what you think about the difference between them!
I have tried both the gel & Milk versions. the milk is greasier and definitely doesnt absorb as quickly. But it's more strongly water resistant. If you've tried the Annesa (scented) milk - the Suncut milk takes a lil longer to set down , a lil more shiny , and seems less water resistant.
Dude I thought I had the notification bell on but apparently "personalized" is not enough because I'm 12 hours late! Turning my notifications to "all"!
Been loving the Kroger sunscreen because of the price and accessibility (in the U.S.). Definitely has replaced my Unseen Sunscreen which I had been purchasing for over two years!

Yay that’s so good to hear! Imagine how much money you’ve saved 😭
@ At regular price it is literally almost 5x cheaper when comparing it by the oz! Also I've seen it on sale for BOGO 50% which is a good time to pick it up. I'm too excited that I found it through your channel I literally like it more than Supergoop's. 😭😭
Hello, Ramon. Could you make subtitles available in your videos? I come from Poland and I speak English but sometimes you speak so fast I can't understand you ;)
I loooove your recommendations! I am on a mission to try all sunscreens coz I have to use one anyways so i made that step my exciting new product product! I love trying new sunscreens when I finish a tube I am always so hyped to research new hidden gems thanks so much for your videos!
I can't believe how good the la roche posay shaka is, I went to buy it after I saw it in this video and... finally after 3 years I found a spf that I will rebuy again and again, no eye tingling, no white cast, no grease, no fragrance AND no PILLINGwith makeup, it soaks in better than a serum! it's truly unmatched x0
@ I know - right?! I have a VERY hard time finding sunscreen that isn’t reactive on my skin - so I do a massive happy dance when I land on one that works for me 💃
Ramón maybe you can help me out with this one: I noticed that if I wear light clothings, I ALWAYS get a yellowish stain around the neck because of my sunscreen. How do you handle that? It happens no matter if I directly put on my clothings or wait a bit. It's really frustrating since just washing the item doesn't remove the stain at all :(
Have you tried the Eucerin Actinic Control spf 100? I got it recently and its really light for an SPF 100. It has 8 filters I believe and has a PPD of 58!! Might wanna check it out
@ Great! Can you please let me know where you bought it? I live in the Netherlands and can not find a website online to buy it to here.. I hope this will be my good sunscreen, I use now the pigment control from eucerin. It is a little more heavy then the Oil control, that is a bit too dry for my skin. I hope this one is perfect in between. ;-)
Hi Ramón! Do you think the Garnier Ambre Solaire Anti age Super UV would be good to use around the eyes? I use the Evy SPF 50 mousse for the face and I LOVE it (leaves a glowy but not greasy finish), but it stings my eyes, so I want another one to use just around my eyes.
I bought the SunBum last November and it really does blur very nicely. It was a little too drying for my normal to dry skin for the winter. Now that summer is starting (I live in Atlanta) it has been getting a lot more use. I have been debating buying the Village 11 or the Kroger brand SPF when I finish my current one. I would love if you did a video of for your favorite body SPF’s. I have not found one that I consider HG status and most youtubers focus on face sunscreens.
I just got the spf 50 ver in the mail today and from first impressions I absolutely love it! Love the high UVA value and it seems like an all around amazing sunscreen for my combo/oily skin!
The Eucerin Oil Control contains only avobenzone for UVA. Is it enough?
3 года назад+4
Great question! It does have octocrylene which boosts up in the UVAII range, as well as really fortifying and stabilizing avobenzone nicely. That couples with some other formulation points gives it a 4 star rating in the Boots star system, which, considering the SPF 50+ rating, makes me feel confidence in the protection. The elegance of it makes it nice to apply a REALLY generous amount so I’m also confident in the overall protection quality I’m getting as well
Sadly Eucerin has only old UV fitlers but the sunscreen is soo good :(
3 года назад
Regardless of old filters, it’s a great sunscreen. We have some sunscreens in the US that are still great sunscreens that only feature the older filters. Considering the mix used, and their tech behind it, it’s still a great, broad spectrum sunscreen that’s stable
People are too concerned with uv filters nowadays which I do understand. But If it tests as spf 50+ and has a circle around UVA then it is automatically above pa++++ so don’t worry about that however if you’re worried about the photostability then just make sure to re-apply it which you should be doing anyway regardless of which sunscreen it is.
not sure how the Biore Athlizim can be PA++++ relying entirely on DHHB. It's a great stable UVA filter but I can't imagine it's going to give that level of UVA protection all on its own.
Ramon! D’you remember the Eucerin Oil-Control I recommended on Patron? I’m so sad to share that it‘s the culprit behind my recently out-of-hand eczema. I’m so sad man. On the hunt for an alternative now.
Ahhhh I was trying find video for all these things, and could only find for one or other, I also have hyperpigmentation, big pores, on top of combo/ more oily and acne prone brown skin, plus live in hot and humid area, bless!!!!
You don't understand how much I appreciate the description box, thank you so much for all the links including internationally as well. Watching loads of different stuff to find affordable, available & brown skin friendly things is overwhelming, you make it a lot easier & I'm so grateful. Thank you Also I was wondering some of these have alcohol denatured, isn't that bad for ur skin in long run? Dr v rattan explained it
Just noticed that you have been putting some SPF on your eyelids. Does it not sting when you sweat? Coz that what happens to me if I put any sunscreen near my eyes.
Like how is the Garnier UV fluid matte on you? 😮 I have normal/combo skin and for me it is very dewy/greasy. When I used this as my reapplication spf at work, a colleague said my face looked very sweaty lol
I just move to France from Korea a few months ago, so looking for new suscreens, I miss my Korean sunscreens, lol. But yeah, so the Garnier ones you have listed here aren't available in France. I even went on the Garnier France website, they don't make either of these for the French market. I mean I think I can import them from another country, but with Brexit and everything and me trying to not import stuff, it just kinda sucks, lol
What is the difference btwn the garnier anti-age vs sensitive? Does anyone worry how such watery sunscreens can fully protect? Now I feel a bit uneasy. PS - I've already ordered the canmake because everyone was saying how great it is. I bought the some bi mi mineral & it got lost by the USPS : ( Right now I'm using the olay mineral. Its good BUT might not be good when its humid. It takes time to dry.
Thank you soooo much for your videos... Super informative and helpful Have you heard about the brand Altruist and GRÜUM? It’s always worth highlighting and reminding people this has happened/is happening with Neutrogena, Coppertone, Elta MD, and other American and European brands. You don’t have to get it. It’s still one of my favorites to use
Hey Ramon, I'm an old gal with dry and sensitive skin in the U.S. and the La Roche Posay sunscreen you are talking about is my holy grail. I do not find it to be drying. I can't wear mineral sunscreens because they dry my face right out after just a few hours. I get that Shaka/Invisible Fluid online for like 10 Euros. It's the BUDGET BEACH sunscreen in France. Love that stuff. I do consider it to be one of the best sunscreens in the world. I pour it on my face and swipe it around and then pat, pat, pat. I put on WAY MORE than 1/4 t. Thank you so much for the multiple links/shopping options on all these sunscreens!
I have super large pores and oily skin and I am glad that you recommended radiant SPFs too! In my opinion they look better with just concealer and little make-up. Love this, I feel some shopping is coming 🙈
if u don’t mind me asking, what sunscreen do you use, i have large pores and oily skin as well and im in a search for a sunscreen that won’t break me out
@@wydmatt7294 from this video Canmake Mermaid. I still use it almost everyday. It works in summer and winter! Canmake is affordable and just as good!

I was trying to find a sunscreen available in Europe&good for sensitive ,combination, acne prone skin...And gave EUCERIN oil control a try and i love it works great with other products and makeup &on its own like a moisturizer it is great and made me actually want to use sunscreen every day❤
EVY EVY EVY please!!! Please review EVY technology face spf 50. Dying to hear your thoughts before I spend obscene amounts on shipping to the states 😂😂. Love your content. I don’t buy an spf till I hear your thoughts ❤️
Wait, are you saying that Garnier Ambre Solaire is almost exactly the same as La Roche Posay? Because I pay 18 euros for La Roche Posay, I'd love to pay 10 euros for the same product 😢

They have formulation differences. Similar textures, different characteristics. La Roche is a heavy duty sunscreen, Garnier is a great daily option
@ Thank you for the answer. I'll try to find the Garnier or Eucerin one. Btw great video. A review with a Before/After illustration is always a 5 stars review haha

Other hydrating/radiant SPFs I am using at the moment are SkinCeuticals Advanced Brightening UV Defense SPF50 Lotion and Suqqu Watery Protector SPF 30, but these two are expensive. Canmake is affordable and just as good!
Can’t imagine how big job you did for this video!💜 thanks a lot!
None of these are available in India fml😭😭
Ugh all the ones I want are out of stock, like the black girl sunscreen and the other ones have alcohol 😩
I just wanna discuss your username first boo 😭
I ordered the last Saem Eco Earth sun gel and I was told that it is now discontinued, am so sad.
Where are you from? I love your nose! It’s just like mine. Not many people here w this nose. I didn’t like it at first but now I love it bc it fits me. Anyway thanks for posting. New subbie

EVY EVY EVY please!!! Please review EVY technology face spf 50. Dying to hear your thoughts before I spend obscene amounts on shipping to the states 😂😂. Love your content. I don’t buy an spf till I hear your thoughts ❤️
Stay tuned!
I couldn't click faster!
