- The Voron D-53233 is by far the best starter truck on this game, and I will tell you why, so come with me! Alternatively, if you like to take your game slow and steady, you can roll with the Azov 64131, one of the most reliable trucks of the entire game. The best part of all of this, is that you can get any of them on the first hour of gameplay. Both trucks are very capable with upgrades but even stock they will rock your world.

I just completed the game. This would definitley have ruined the experience for me. I went from michigan to alaska to russia and i enjoyed the slow but satisfiying progression
I went to the Voron AE as my do-everything vehicle after I got sick of my Paystar falling over all the damn time. Definitely felt OP even at mid levels (and BONE STOCK other than tires!) and should have a level lock of some sort. Doesn't make a lick of sense for these to be available at level 1.
I just started the game. I’d rather take the harder route and enjoy getting stuck. After all that’s the point of the game.

I’m playing hard and taking it slow. What really helped was boosting original chevy scout with good tyres and unlocked all upgrades on the map. Still using original trucks and what I found
What I did when I was starting is just got the Tayga right away. That is another good way to go. Great vid! Keep it up 👍🏻

I got the voron ae at the beginning of the game and used it through to the end, and combined with azov 64131 the two is all you need from start to finish all maps
I use the Voron AE and the Voron D for cargo and the pacific P16 for heavy and special trailers
why i cant use it on Alaska map ?! i got Voron for 80k
If you send everyone to russia you might as well told them to rescue the tayga as soon as possible for free. Its my favourite truck
It's awesome, but without upgrades, especially for the geological exploration, maybe Azov is really better. But once you find the raised suspension for Tayga and upgrade the tires, it is THE BEST :) And it's not as terribly slow as Azov.
I did geo exploration with stock tyga ... it’s the best choice and free...
Seriously you shouldn't buy a Russian truck in the beginning when the best truck the tayga is around the corner form the garage and its free

Azov will make an OP start (eats even mud with big loads in the stock setup), but you will pay with slowness on not demanding terrain. I'd say it's still a fair trade. One person will like slow steady pace more, the other will enjoy winching out of piles of mud with a lot of tries, but reach higher speeds overall. Voron is just better than Paystar while both will get you easily through Michigan missions (I did majority of Michigan with Paystar). Good video anyway :)
That is true! The azov is the safest bet, slow, steady and will get the job done for sure. While the Voron will struggle a little bit some times but will be usually faster.

The paystar tips way easier then any voron could ever tip, while i drive my voron D on an incline by the time you get to the first half of the incline your paystar would have already tipped over like a cow

Used the stock MH9500 on Alaska and towed a 2000l fuel trailer and a load of beams with me on probably the worst part of the map, took like 3 hours of winching and almost used all the fuel in the trailer and now I definitely know Snowrunner is not playing around and I was a bit too confident after not playing mudrunner for a few years

The Voron AE-4380 is my main truck with the Loadstar and the Pacific P16, the Voron is a beast
For me the Fleetstar 2070A worked pretty good in michigan.

Ikr, they need some serious balance. Maybe higher level unlock or something. The USA trucks are better on roads, but you hardly drive on paved ways

Bro you helped so much I was having so many problems with the truck for example I got a glitch to where all my cars and my op hummer disappeared when I went on a multiplayer So I had to restart the game and I was annoyed but then I saw your video and I did exactly what you said and now I have an OP truck

See I hated the hummer. When with all the upgrades I got on it I still feel like it's a POS. I'll stick with my chevy until I get the Titanus Maximus or 6 wheeled pickup I can't think of the name
That red first truck on russian store tows 2 trailers with logs out of the thick mud without any problems! Its pretty fuel saving too!
Azov is the only way to go. So great in stock. Big tyres, 8 wheels, AWD, diff lock, such great fuel consumption!!!, powerful engine. Takes even the biggest add ons.

thank you SO much man...this is what I needed...having a hard time...sold some dlc trucks and got the Voron and it's already cruising over terrain with the all-terrain...need to level up for the mud tires.

Now for real, I wish I saw this video last week when I picked up the game, I did the idiotic thing and bought the Navistar, which is pretty much like a Voron, because I had no idea I could go to Russia and bend the system.

Bro i accidentally deleted all my 1 month progress and this makes me feel better
mmm At level 6 with the Fleetstar + good upgrades I did the huge fuel tank mission without an issue, so Im guessing is all about the time you wana put in the game, if in rush yeah get most of the easy trucks and scout, sell them and go buy a russian. If not in a rush, use the fleetstar, upgrade it and you will be fine.
Im level 10 now and Im still using the fleetstar. If you have the time, the fleetstar with upgrades is unstoppable
Truth! I completed the entire Michigan campaign with just the Fleetstar. I did the long logs mission "Timber for the locals" and took the route where you go down the hill with a hairpin turn and then took it over the "broken bridge" to go the back way to lumber mill no problem (all three trips, ha!). I watched a youtube about that mission and the dude was using the taygar and he literally drove the highway all the way around to the lumber mill. I mean, play the game as you like (it's your money) but folks act like you can't play the game using a starter truck and that's just wrong on so many levels.

Even though the GMC is a bad truck in the beginning, lots of rage moments and had to restart my hard mode plays a few times, it is a fairly good truck with the upgrades, but u get the AWD late game in the snow area which is why alot of ppl ignore it. I think its better than the fleetstar with all the upgrades.

the other thing you forgot to mention about the kolob 74941 is the fact that it will most surely get hung up on ANY deep ditch because of the extremely long front end and I agree with Roland Szabo if your going to be in Russia you might as well get the TAYGA this truck is hands down way better than anything you mention in your vid
In a way i can see how needing to go to a different country to buy a vehicle make a lot of sense. My dad has a friend that comes over to the US to buy a new mustang strait form Ford because it feels like he is getting the real deal and he is. Some one that is a collectors of foreign cars may only find what they want in its country of origin.

thanks i did this and trust me the voron d with a offroad trans at the start was great but this truck flips so often i gave up on it so just grab the tayga

With the azov 64131 What do you mean no diff to begin with??? If you don’t have a diff you can send drive to the axle cox there will be no way to split it it’ll essentially be a solid dead axle
I used the Azov 64131 and it was good in Michigan but I got stuck often for some reason but I was probably pushing it to hard.

I found this looking for an alternative to the 5750 because I was having a VERY difficult time keeping that thing upright, especially at Smithville Dam. This one has been so much better about that.

While I do agree that the Russian Trucks you referenced are amazing vehicles in the game it is damn near impossible to get them stuck. I have to disagree that there isn't a better starter truck. The RNG US-K23 is equally if not more AMAZING. It's one major drawback is that it didn't have a Cradle of any kind to haul goose neck trailers. But that truck with the right addon can haul 2 things plus any trailer in the inventory. And it won't get stuck never once have I used the winch to get her out of trouble. ABSOLUTELY relentless truck. Made for the US military so it must be a monster. I'm glad they put it in the game
As a mod truck, ya most are OP and great for starting out. For Vanilla trucks (those that came with the game and not a third party mod truck), most of the Russian trucks are better than the US ones.
Thing is the Kolob has very low gc for stock so going up bumpy roads is gonna be hard especially without a winch

They can handle almost anything. They will only fail on some epic cargos and maybe on Kola peninsula

Azov: Powerful, narrow and rather top heavy. The perfect combination for running into obstacles and falling over, especially with a trailer.
Voron: Gets completely stuck in some mud pits on "Drowned Lands", so you'll need something heavier to pull it out anyways.
Kolob: Can only pull big trailers, which can be difficult to maneuver and lead to more accidents.
They are not good beginner trucks, because they are vulnerable to beginner mistakes. Also don't forget: you can't get most upgrades right away, since you're locked into the first map for a while.
In contrast, Michigan's terrain is much easier to navigate, most upgrades are easily accessible from the start and the Paystar will do fine for almost everything. Once you have chained tires unlocked, Alaska shouldn't be any more difficult.
You'll gain XP, equipment and learn some valuable lessons in an easy environment.
Next time you do "probably the best YT beginner video", actually think about beginners.

Can someone explain me the high gear please
It's good for maintaining speed through moderate terrain. Like light mud or dirt since gear shifts can slow you down especially when the truck decides to downshift into first.
It took me FOREVER to finally figure it out. It's a "high" gear meant for crusing but definitely not the highest. If you have an 8 speed gearbox it's kind of like the equivalent of winding out until 5th. But that winding out is crucial because in auto the game keeps your revs down and shifts when it feels appropriate. But it can also bog down and shift right down to 1st which is a pain. The other thing is that you never go too fast in this gear. So you can drive on better roads at higher speeds though you might have to feather the throttle some.
Anyway short answer as to gameplay: Start in auto then switch to high as soon as you are rolling. Then if you're topped out (and you feel like it) switch back to auto if you really want to fly down the road. Also with a powerful vehicle going over mud this gear kind of keeps the pedal floored and lets you spin the tires to kind of brute-force your way through. (However this can also lead to you getting stuck if you're not careful!) Also: much like with low gear this is high "only" and does not automatically switch to reverse.

How does these trucks affect the middle and end of the game? Are there much better trucks to unlock later?
Not really that much better. The biggest unlock you can have is the offroad gearbox and this truck start with one. But I mean, the grind is RLY pleasant regardless
To be fair, you could finish the game with nearly any truck, and some rather good ones can be attained by just driving up to them. But there is no "best" truck in my oppinion. Just best for that one specific job. Some make life easier and some like the mentioned Kolob, are rather satisfying to drive with mowing down trees that blocked your way last attempt. Its all about taste and how much time you want to invest.
Tyga is the best. Close to garage of the first Russian map. It’s free. You can do geo task in stock tyga . It is the best.
These trucks are very competent (even bone stock!) and level well. The Tayga is arguably better but the biggest thing it offers is that is has a mud tire option that is just GONZO. Other than that the biggest difference is that it has slightly more responsive steering. I love my Voron AE because it sits low and goes anywhere. But it's turning radius is less than ideal for some things (like being used with a semi trailer). But if you need to get something done the Voron will do it. Period.
Thr tayga destroys the voron and veronz just as is and upgraded is king for several maps, the azov is truly better though overall but that tayga has great balance its end game

Lol its a Russian game, misery and grinding is their form of enlightenment. Very close to buying this game but still.. pricey to roam around on a vehicle. I don't understand the game yet.
Tbh, this game is the exact opposite of grinding. I mean, the whole idea of the grind is to make the game challenging. Also there are no micro transactions. Only a season pass. You should try it, if you don't like it, return it for free as long as you played for less than 2h
Don't even need the pass to have fun. And this game is very NON grindy once you figure it out. It allows for a lot of experimentation and ****ing around with no penalty. And it lets you play any way you want. The only time I ever grinded anything was once when I was low on cash I ran a time cash/xp mission a few times back to back. But I later realized I didn't understand the way in-game money works and didn't need to in the first place. Don't grind. Have fun. Explore. Take your time. Experiment and tweak your strategies to your heart's content. Look at flowers and creepy buildings and pretty lakes if you like. It's your game, your playground. Do what you want. Life is too short to waste grinding in a video game.

BRB watching your videos for tips because my Chevy is ass on the trails and I don't know what to tackle first because 3000 dollars and 50 stars or so didn't seem great, there has to have been a better way to go.
