You are a legend. Bought this last week after my brother recommended it and there's so many trucks/dlc it's impossible to know what to buy at the start. Liked & subbed would love to see more 2023 snowrunner content ❤
That's actually pretty good beginners guide! Not like others recommending OHD tires on Tayga they already had unlocked etc. When you are like level 2 you have very limited choices and basically access to highway tires only which are terrible even in Michigan map.
instead of the Ank Mk38 i would recommend getting the Voron D-53233 as you can easily get its raised suspension upgrade and it can do almost everything including the crane + bed + trailer combo. it even comes with a special offroad gearbox giving you more gear options from the start.
This game and the mud in michigan has been driving me insane literally for years of starting and restarting this game. I've never done anything after building the first bridge. 😂 Thank you. This game tells you nothing.
@@explorationofgames if you can make a guide of what missions newbie player should start doing in the early game might be great because I'm so lost and probably I'm not the only one
I picked up this game for the first time a few weeks ago. It was a struggle getting going, the game doesn’t explain much, even the bare essentials are pretty much left for the player to figure out. But now I’m getting the hang of it. It’s a lot of trial and error, and is kind of grindy in a way but I don’t mind it. What I would do is just go around finding jobs to do, and if I couldn’t complete them I’d come back later after I instal a major upgrade on my vehicle, and see how much further I could get. Rinse and repeat. Luckily there’s plenty of things to do so you’re never really stuck driving around trying to figure how to unlock a certain upgrade so you can beat one specific mission. I just got to the part where you repair and recover the white western star, and I was kind of dreading it because people made it sound very difficult. But I only ran into a couple small hiccups bringing it back to garage. So I must be getting the hang of this game.
For hard mode, i wouldn't sell off the the fleetstar. Sell off the scout 800 you find on the first map, then go to the 2nd map damhill and sell off the chevy scout. They are both easy to get to. When you buy the little van, only buy the roofrack, you don't need good tires for the route you should take. Instead of taking the road towards the tayga, go further down the road, around that swamp, and go through the forest, which is a much more easy route. When ur done u should still have money left over to transfer the truck to any map you like
For people that tip over a lot. Second map in Michigan will provide the White western star. Get all upgrades for it and it will be a game changer. Deep mud is still a "problem" with it but everything else is just amazing. Be sure to equip UOD II with it as it is the best tire for most american trucks. But OHD I over UOD II on others were it is available.
8:13 You can also refuel from your vehicle to the Tayga then recover to garage to help save additional trips for the refuel. I added the service add-on to the Azos and winched to the van and dragged them to the site for one trip.
Thank you so much for this video. It really helps to start doing task and mission successfully. I was so clueless before watching this video, always stuck in the mud with default truck! 😅
also take your time, don’t try to rush to alaska or taymyr. have fun in michigan since it’s a great place to be and start. it was worth the wait since the maps get progressively harder to navigate.
Thanks a lot for this video, the Azov & Civilian are carrying me throughout early game that it feels like cheating. Also the Azov looks good aesthetically to me.
You’re welcome. I like Azov too it reminds me of gagarin locomotive , if you never seen it check videos of it online it’s a brat and there is some similarity with the way they both look
Thanks. Nice video... but for a complete beginner, it raises a lot of questions, too. The first 3 I found out, but it would have been easier if you said it in the video: 1. How to get Global Map, 2. How to go to Russia, 3. How to get into the Russian garage, 4. How to get the frame for the truck... this is where I'm stuck now Probably many other questions will arise in the last half of the video. Try to think that we might know NOTHING about the game at all 😅
My assumption was that people finished the in game tutorial before watching my video and tutorial answers all those questions ;). And to change the frame you need to have a truck in the garage and then click customise and at the bottom you will have frame addons. Hope that helps :)
DONT DO THE HARDCORE THING WITH THE TAYGA!!! Tayga isn't really a good option for hardcore mode, it can't do crane + bed combo, which means you'll have to pay 150 credits for every autoload or have a second truck around with a crane.
I've tried to repair Tayga in hardmode with refilling the service roof rack on the service point situated on south of the map, but it takes sooo long time :( Thanks for new idea!
I really appreciate sharing your knowledge, I've learnt a lot watching your videos. Without your help I would have given up by now! So I followed your instructions selling the 2 dlc trucks, I bought the Ank without problems... Then I bought the Azof but for some reason I can't actually find the Azof in my garages anywhere. I've looked in Taymyr and michigan but it's not there. Have I done something wrong? Perhaps I need to do more missions before I can use it? One other question please. What is the 'retain truck' option? Thank you again
If you bought the truck then it has to be somewhere, if you cant find it press F4 or down on the dpad when outside of the garage, then at the top scroll to trucks, here you will have a list of all the trucks you own with the locations they are in that way you can find your truck. The retain option is to put the truck into truck storage which allows you to move the trucks between different maps. You put the truck into storage go to another map go to the garage go to truck storage and there you will have all your stored trucks Hope it helps :)
As a three week noob, I found that starting in game plus with everything available, free, no damage and a 24 hour day. Makes the learning curve SO MUCH EASIER! Mandatory mods for noobs would be the YAR AGI, the Azov 73210 AGI, the dash board mounted radar, and an auto aka battery operated long winch. Drive around the entire map using the radar unit every so often will make the map visable faster. Finding any and everything available to find but make sure to accept them then cancle immediately. Once the map is completly visable, using the 73210 and the yar on occasion, do any and all task first. The contest mission can wait until your ready to play vanilla. After all the task are done, go to the second map and do the same, then the third, and then the last one. Starting back in the first, start doing the contracts that stay in the first map, then the second then etc. After those are done, start with the first and do those that take you to the other cities. Once you've done all that, you should have learned the entire curve and ready to play a vanilla or a game plus version with the various config's more realistic.
Out of curiosity, how do you get a 24hr day? The short day/night cycles drive me mad, I barely manage to make one round trip across the map during a day in default settings.
Great guide, however if you come across a vehicle you want in the wild & want to recover it, how do you get the truck/scout back that you used to find it?
Downloaded this game once, driving is shit. Dropped it right away. Tried again yesterday, why is driving so bad? Look on youtube, find a 2 minute video with a bald older guy, yes i can relate to this man. Lets listen... omg 1 setting and we can drive. Played all day with the starter trucks, they are shit. Game sends me to Alaska with bad truck. Not good, find other truck. Upgrade it. Back to first area. Goes well, take 3 hours for 1 mission. OK. Find this video, its Pete again, omg golden advice. New truck is the bomb. Can actually drive now. 3 missions in 30 minute. Wish the game would let me give custom name to my trucks, i would name him Pete.
@@explorationofgames they (the developers) should pay you a loy of money. They are losing a lot of potential players because their default settings are unintuitive. And putting you in Alaska with bad tires is also not the best onboarding experience for new players
