Step 310E and Freightliner 114SD are two of my favorite underrated trucks in the Offroad class. Keep the stock "Voin" engine in the Step and you get a good mix of power and fuel efficiency. Honorable mention to the GMC MH9500 since it's technically a Highway truck but with the AWD upgrade it performs just like any other decent offroader.

Freightliner M916A1 is a very underated low saddle truck. Doesn't have much fuel but Doesn't drink much and has always diff lock so you actually don't waste much fuel spinning on higher gears. Enough power and perdect top speed. Very good turning radious BUT some trailers in some situations touch the toolbox on some tight manouvers... Also its on the cover of the game bonus points 😂
I find that the most fun trucks are the ones that have caveats or negatives WITH their positives. I find myself enjoying the Step 310E over any of the Azov brothers for purely the FEELING of driving a beefy old brute.
Exactly. A lot of people only care about having the best trucks that make the game completely downright easy, but I much prefer the feeling, actually ENJOYING the game. That's why I love playing with the truck mods made by yansors, Kot76RSK and SovaEagle. They make the absolute best russian truck mods IMO. Huge attention to detail and authenticity to the real beasts.
The Voron AE can use the crane, bed and trailer combo. It was part of the update. Also, you can negate the tipping problem of the Voron D by installing OHD1 tyres.
I can safely argue that the Royal BM 17 is a great truck. I using it for almost everything in Ontario and with a scout truck and fuel trailer, that is a great combo, but lack of diff lock can be annoying in some situations. Overall, I love this truck and you are kinda underestimating it.
i like all trucks in snowrunner, but thats my opinion. i think its fun to try out all the different trucks, and i dont need the best trucks in the game most times.
The top 3 all have the same thing in common, always on AWD and diff locks. Always on diff locks are essential as far as I'm concerned because the ability to high gear cruise with diffs locked is huge, that is why the Taygas cover ground so quickly. The Azov 64131 and Tayga 6436 are new player life savers, you can buy the Azov in Michigan and as soon as you get semi-decent tires you can use the Azov to go rescue the Tayga in Taymyr.
Incorrect in the zikz 5368. If you want to use a small single axle off-road I would say it’s by far the best one and I delivered all the Michigan long logs with it for fun in a friends coop save
Pretty good list. I stand by the Voron-D and I don't even use it for the triple combo. Well sometimes I do, but I for example hate having a blue crane on a military green truck. So whenever I put the crane on the D, the truck itself is also going blue to match (as close as I can). Same deal with trucks that have the yellow crane, all those trucks go yellow. But then after a while I get sick of that and start missing my Army Green so I take the cranes off all the trucks again (with exception of the Tatra's and DAN (multi-purpose bed) as those cranes change colour to match the truck, so they get to always keep the cranes) But yeah I've always liked how the Voron-D drives. But you can't go wrong with the Voron Grad, the Grad in many peoples minds is the best Voron. But I've always had more luck with the D. Funnily enough even though it has the reputation for being the tipsiest Voron, personally I think I've actually rolled over in the Grad more than I have the D. Maybe I'm subconsciously more careful about rolls in the D where I'm more bold and risk taking in the Grad, but yeah it's just a funny little note that I've tipped less in the "tippy Voron" then I have the "stable Voron" lol
Step crocodile with the fuel tank add on is a great mid size scout. Its very nimble, capable and stable. I would rank Azov 6 a bit higher, imo its extremely capable. Yes, it is slow, but it pulls and pulls. No matter what kind of add on, cargo, trailer or terrain it will always do the job done. Has tons of add ons, super fuel efficient and stable too. I love it even in amur. I would rank the Voron Ae as the best Voron, its a rocket truck with highway transmission, pulls great in H gear. When I want to move some goods very fast, I will either use the Ae or the twinsteer. I used to like Grad but its slower, less capable, and the lack of always on difflock greatly cripples it. Voron D on the other hand is a pleasure to drive. Really feels like you're driving an offroad truck. Sometimes tippy and thirsty. But has a special offroad transmision. The special thing about voron D is; at the beginning of the game mud tires are locked, but Voron D comes with the mud tires as standart unlike all the other trucks in the game. This makes it a great starter truck along with Azov 6 and Tayga. Still 90% of the time I use the Ae. Paystar is a surprisingly capable truck, it even pulls special mission 8 slot trailers without a sweat. I used it a lot in Kola and loved its performance. I have a love/hate realtionship with the Tayga B. I think it offers inferior offroad performance compared to the regular Tayga. But crane+bed combo makes in invaluable. It looks very nice and sounds blissful. But turning radius is quite annoying and noticeably tippier than the regular Tayga. Tatra Phoenix is a great truck, but lack of critical add ons and unbearably slow steering speed makes driving it very annoying. All the tatras need a big overhaul in my opinion. They need more add on and transmission options, faster speeds and some tune-ins like faster steering. Tatra t813 has to have always on difflock as standart. It deserves it.
The sprinter MAX mod is my favourite vehicle in the game. Slap some big wheels on it 79" I think some op tyres, op gears, op engine and it flies through EVERYTHING. Once you have done that you just can't go back to towing a rusty wheel barrow with a snail (vanilla players are just kier starmer voice "ooooh you aren't playing the game right. If you aren't sucking all the enjoyment out of the game and making it as boring as possible you are beneath me"). Vanilla players - the self appointed elite we all laugh at, they are like the lycra clad cyclists who think they are the SAS of cyclists and anybody else is worthless. I mean can anybody justify why I am a bad person for using a dash mounted seismothingy and doing earthquake missions using any vehicle I like? Splashing in mud bad. Mummy told them off for getting their wellies dirty basically.

All voron trucks are good, they are all almost tied for me, they each have their ups and downs. It all comes up to personal preference I am doing my best to defend voron ae, my beloved
i would say that actaeon deserves a bit more as it offers electric winch like scouts... that helps a lot when you "speedrun" scouting or you just need that 1 slot of stupid cargo somewhere
Yeah the Actaeon is a surprisingly good scout. It has tremendous range, and is stable enough for most off road situations. The only scout that may handle off road situations better is the Tatarin.

Anyone else noticing a whole new set of crashes with the new version? Every time I recover a truck from one map without a garage to another, change vehicle and go back through a gateway it crashes. Sooooooo annoying. They never seem to nail it. One glitch just gets replaced with another.

for me, nothing beats Azov 64131. Finished almost half of the seasons so far, yet i can`t find anything that fits me better than that beast.

I think deviding the off-road into sub classes makes sense: for example: all the 4x4. And the 6x6 and 8x8 could go together
I love the look of the ANK civ/military and I've learned to deal with the tippyness pretty well but I would love to have even 50L more on it.
If the ANK had the Taygas fuel tank, it would easily rival the Tayga. You can drive around the tippiness, but the ANK is way faster than the Taygas.

The Azov 6 is held back by its small tires. It can't cross blue snow at all.

Tayga B is my personal favorite from performance to engine sound and over all size
