@@darthkurland I’m convinced the full 134 minute cut is out there somewhere in the Warner Brothers vault. Some of the trailers include deleted scenes in its finished form.
@Paul Anwar Sometimes they have preview screenings with unfinished effects though. We can't be sure anything except the tornado scene and missile scene made it to finished form until we see them.
I was 9 years old when this came out in 1987, and I had the biggest crush on Nuclear man! I fancied him sooooo much, that i had a poster of him next to my bed, which I would stare at as I drifted off to sleep at night.
I recall when you watched this on vhs this scene was deleted but if you watched it on TV they added the scene back in to make the running time long enough to fill in the two hour time slot.
I watched this movie in theater in Mexico on 1987 and I do remember this scene included in the theatrical cut. But, I don't remember if the Russian missile scene was included.
I think i see why they cut this scene out because test audience and warner bros. Thought this was to similar to the tornado scene on the wizard of oz but this featured reeve's daughter
Fun fact originally they planned to spend 6 months on special effect but they ended up gaving only 1 month for the special effect to be done so they can finish it sooner
That's actually one of the better scenes in the movie. And it's Reeve's daughter. Did they have to cut that out??
I’m surprised that they didn’t use this finished version of the scene for the Bonus Features section instead of the crappy workprint footage.

This was also in VHS release.
This scene was in the TV version
I remember this scene was in the TV version of the movie back in the day.
me too in Brazil TV Version Why Deleted?
I used to have a VHS tape with Flight of the Navigator and Superman IV (with this scene) recorded off of TV.
I was thinking the same thing.
So Do I!
On 11 Alive WPIX
(New York's Movie Station)
Been looking for this for years. This scene was in the cinema, never saw it again.
So in the same movie…a woman flies into outer space unscathed…and a child flies through a tornado and needs a nap.
Fun fact: the little girl was played by Christopher Reeve's daughter
Now acting talent in the family
@@LeonardMoscaAnd now his son, Will is going to be a cameo in Superman: Legacy next year.

I saw this film in the cinema and this scene was definitely in the theatrical version I saw.
Superman 4 The Quest For Peace Is One Of My Favorite Movie Film I Like Between Superman Vs Nuclear Man And ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Really annoys me it’s not on the DVD I remember seeing this scene as a kid on Tv
Forgot about this scene. Was 100% on my vhs

There is two versions from the movie 1 for international and the other for vhs
Definitely know who the favourite kid in that family was 😂
Had this scene in the television broadcast in the early 90's recorded on vhs
Say what you will about this film: the score is freaking KILLER.
How the fuck the girl survives being sucked into a tornados
I think i see why they cut this scene out because test audience and warner bros. Thought this was to similar to the tornado scene on the wizard of oz but this featured reeve's daughter
Anyone else laugh their a** off watching the tornado scene? 😂😂
Wow laser disc. Those we about the size of a 33 record. Showing my age.
We have never seen this before, it's amazing scene in the movie 🔰
Twas a good scene, maybe because of the limited technology of films storage before.
Fun fact originally they planned to spend 6 months on special effect but they ended up gaving only 1 month for the special effect to be done so they can finish it sooner
It shows
thats why in most of the flying shots, superman flies the exact same way.

How did they make a tornado for the film?
I actually like this movie even if it's bad
I hate you
It’s worth it just to see Christopher Reeve play Superman again even if you don’t care for the movie itself.
@@Super80sMan it's Reeve, not Reese...
🙄
Not nearly as bad as Lester's cut of Superman 2 or his Superman 3...
@@ValiantWrestling You’re quite right. I did not proofread myself well enough. I’ve corrected it.
Es la hija de Christopher Reeve en la vida real.
Pls help me guys
to find the original superman 4:
We need full version no cut
The only good thing in this film is the poster .
Well guess which kid is their favorite..... Spoiler, it's the one they took to the shelter.
"Yo fuck jenny!"
Teräsmies 4 Nuclear Man 1987
Reeve doing his take offs is the only thing good about this film....he tried but everything let him down
Sup wasted one valuable second here 1:27
Y ellos salieron de la casa a meterse al sotano dejando a la hija a su suerte
Pretty sure the whiplash would have killed her..
Or she would've been ripped apart and launched like 5 miles away...
Quality of this film was rubbish compared to the others

So so so bad
