Try not using conditioner. Or use like a tiny small amount. Do deep conditioning treatments the day you wanna straighten your hair. Use babyliss curling irons. Use texturizing hair spray. Always start at the root when you’re curling your hair. Let curls cool in your hand before dropping them. Use a wide tooth comb or your brush to smooth out curls depending on the look you want. I’ve been struggling forever. I have long thick hair and my hair never held a curl. My hair is naturally wavy so I know it was a me problem. These are the things I do that make my curls last at least a week.

I can literally look at any Gil and find something about them that makes them so uniquely beautiful even when they don't see it themselves. I do all of those and my hair still won't hold a curl longer than an hour :(

Hi I have natural curly hair. I curl it with curlers and it tames the curls. If I don't do it I look like I stuck my finger in a light Shocket.
Will this same method of using the styling product work for fine thin hair as well? I just don’t want my hair weighed down.

Heartless curls tend to take well to hot tool resistant hair. Get it damp by spraying water and it should work well
How long did the curl last during the day?
For me it would fall some but most of the curl would remain all day.
