There's a lot of great UFC game RUclipsrs making content but I think you take the cake for the most entertainining, informative, educational and original videos out there. Keep it up man, you are a diamond in the rough that deserves to shine bright.
Thanks a lot for your comment. I'm nowhere near the best player, but I do enjoy the game despite its flaws and I want to make good videos that help others enjoy it a little more as well.
Hard to find stuff like this that is so well made and informational. Don't even play the game but the reasoning behind is so sound and useful for combat theory. Thank you for making these incredible videos. Keep it up!
I wasn't happy with the quality of my old videos (or my level of play). Unfortunately my brain kept thinking about videos so I had to come back. I know I still do a lot of things wrong but lately I feel I have improved my editing skill. I'm glad I came back and I'm glad you enjoy the vids.
Keep it up man, the only channel that explained in depth ufc 5 things, instead of making lots of videos about different variations of combos you explained all of them in one video "UFC 5 combo theory". Very detailed and helpful videos man, SUBSCRIBED! 🎉🔥
hellooo, im 3mins in and already you're explaining things so well and in such detail ive found nowhere else! i started playing in ufc 3 and played bruce lee as a southpaw for 3 years, learnt a lot about the kicking but could never explain why the combos worked, i kinda just did it lol watching ur content is like helping me break down whats going on in my head so i actually understand it, i feel like i would just do it, after watching this video i think ill be able to do it while understanding it too lol
okay so im at the 10min mark right about now, my thoughts with the expanding the combos part, i love it, ive been doing the kick varieties for a long time, the axe kick for bruce lee in ufc3 was amazing, i missed it so much when they took it away from bruce in ufc 4, but yea anyway to combat the lack of production i got out of the triple attack was that i started adding a jab. imagine u want to throw a straight and then a roundhouse to the body, yes it is fast, but i started opted for the straight, then jab, then the roundhouse. this turned our 2 hit combo into a 3 hit. now we can interchange slot 2 and slot 3. if my opponent is ducking, i swap my jab for an uppercut. if my opponent tries to hook when they think i want the kick, i change my kick to a hook. the beauty of this 3 punch combo starting with the straight is the 3rd strike will always be from the power side. adding a jab to the mix means that the 2-1-4 combo is in play to set up the kicks in the 3rd slot. lately ive been practising swapping my jab for a body jab, if i time it right it can duck under someone trying to throw a hook, then follow up with my 3rd strike again right after.
@@vvorkhorse9755 The 2-1 kick is a pretty solid way to change up your kickboxing. It's such a small change but it really does change the rhythm just enough to throw people off.
This is a great video man. You should mention in a future vid the sidestep mechanic, I believe it’s extremely underrated and under-utilised for most straight attacks, most people are not even aware that it exists (you flick left or right on your left stick and your player does a subtle sidestep which evades essentially every straight attack coming at you) it obviously has its disadvantages but I exploit the hell out of this move
When I do the striking defense video (soon-ish) I will do a section on side and backsteps. The backstep is probably more under-utilized than side-steps.
This video is put together very well, you earned a sub. I personally like to use cross-body kick as a way to dilute my favourite combdo cross-left hook.
I should focus more on other editing techniques at some point, but I really enjoy tooling around with slow motion. Also I just enjoy using the triple attack, I think a lot of people wind up focusing on strategies that they don't particularly enjoy which I think is a shame.
I might do some shorts on those. For a long video I'm looking to tie things into a general concept or strategy. The crane kick can catch players by surprise but it's hard to base a whole strategy around it.
Higher stars boost damage and reduce stamina costs. 5 stars gives you 13% more damage and reduce stamina cost by 15%. It also changes the animation. Generally 3 stars gives you a better animation than 1-2 for some moves.
You certainly can use the front kick, most players will throw it out at some point in a match. But the idea is that we're building a set of kicks that can all work off the straight. That extra beat between a straight and a front kick means that if our opponent ducks they have time to react to the front kick which won't come out in combination. Even if they don't react properly they'll only take a little more damage as their head will be almost back to neutral when the front kick hits (if they ducked right after our straight)
seriously bro i just wanna see real ufc match analyses from u, u spend a lotta time analyzing these game mechanics and with ur fight knowledge here i'd like to see u try to see what u can do for real combat
Still a lot of difference between the game and real life. My brain is always going to work better on video games than anything else. I'm sure I could do a better job of analysis than most casuals but I don't think I could do real film study better than the people who really study it.
Judging by subs I thought it was some noob level piece of $hit about ufc 5,but i probably found gold instead, great content, great motivation at the end buddy😂

these vids are great bro 💛
Thanks bro💛
this entire channel is honestly like trigonometry for a failing 1-2 merchant such as myself yet I can’t stop watching
A well timed 1-2 is a beautiful thing.
Yawkley with the Christmas present 💯🔥
A little stocking stuffer for all my fellow long-suffering EA UFC enjoyers.
This Channel is easily becoming my favorite ufc 5 channel. Such depth and entertainment to every video he uploads keep it up!
I'll try my best. Might mail it in on the next video

Thanks, I'm always happy when people who don't play still enjoy the videos, as I try to make the video as well made as my meager skills allow.
amazing content as always
Glad you liked it! Enjoy the holidays.
Love these man. The more you make, the more I'll watch
Next one should be a big one on striking defense, hopefully it will be finished sometime in 2025
man i was so sad when i searched ur channel up you were gone so happy to see u back

This guy always makes me wanna hop on love the content 😂
I may be slightly decreasing net happiness in that case. Glad you liked it and my apologies.
Underrated channel fr 🔥
Thanks, someday I hope to be overrated

Yawkly you rule dude
Everyone who comments and subscribes rules and I make videos for their enjoyment. :)

Another informative banger post as always 🙌🏽. Merry Christmas man 🎄
Informative banger is what I'm going for. Merry Christmas
Gonna go ahead and thumbs up, comment, and save to watch later. I know it’s gonna be good even before viewing
I appreciate the vote of confidence, enjoy it at your leisure.

I spent a lot of time doings things without knowing why as well. I enjoy figuring out the underlying structure that makes a strategy work.

If only I could upload every day!

I spend a lot of time making these videos, I'm glad it feels well constructed. Anything that helps you land the 2-3 is a good thing.
Your videos are amazing! Great Christmas gift! Keep it up!
🎁Happy Holidays!
merry Christmas brother good vid
Merry christmas to all and to all a good high kick finish

Yawkley coming in hot with the Christmas miracles ❤
I was going to put off finishing the video, but I was visited by 3 spirits who showed me the error of my ways.
do a video on some of the more obscure strikes, such as the crane kick or the jumping switch kick.
I might do some shorts on those. For a long video I'm looking to tie things into a general concept or strategy. The crane kick can catch players by surprise but it's hard to base a whole strategy around it.
Can you explain the star system? What's the difference between a 2 star jab to a 5 star one?

Why not just use the front kick instead of the axe kick I know it can’t combo from the straight but you can still use it to punish ducking

@@Yawkley i understand bro, i fw ur ufc 5 analyses a lot anyways 😼
Facts they fucked up on ufc 5! The tripple atack was much better on 4
Absolutely. Higher volume of punch spam hurts it, and head kicks don't bust through the block as well in 5.
Judging by subs I thought it was some noob level piece of $hit about ufc 5,but i probably found gold instead, great content, great motivation at the end buddy😂
It's noob level treasure. Glad you enjoyed the video.
UFC 5 is trash
