      @@a.barker7792 There is more of a likelihood of it ending up in Arlington than Chicago. There is so many legal obstacles that stand in front of the Soldier Field site that they will be tied up for years. Friends of the Park has deep pockets and they shut down the Star Wars museum in the courts. All the Bears have to do is get a tax deal done in Arlington and they are ready to start construction. Warren is using this as a negotiating tactic to get the tax deal that the Bears want out of Arlington.

      @a.barker7792 Месяц назад

      Kronke is not just a football operation only. Plus, he has 2 nfl teams, not one. Also, Arlington Hieghts is not a 12 month destination area, like California or Vegas. So you need to make it that. With housing, hotels, business, museums, and free entertainment year round.
      The McCaskeys need a second source of income, which could be a mini stadium area like Jerry Jones has created in Frisco Texas. It doesn't take superbowls to be successful. Lord knows the Bears and Cowboys are proof of that. The "Brand" is what needs to be sold.
      The deal the bears have at Solider Field now to play 10 games in is just fine to showcase the brand on the cheap. With the most unbelievable Vista and location in all of sports. Modify that into a working model. With a Modern Dome addition. Capacity is not what it use to be with the price of tickets. It's the experience that sells on mutiple levels.
      Not everybody can afford an $1800. dollar ticket.
      So, build the experience that you can sell to the common man.

    I wish Illinois, Chicago, and the Bears cut a deal, where Chicago gets 50% of all revenue generated, Illinois gets 30% and the Bears get 20% of all revenue generated, and during Bears games, the Bears get 30% and the state gets 20%. But again, I'm pessimistic.

It's ridiculous that we (Illinoians)pay the highest property taxes in the country and that the city it self is in serious trouble both economically with a 1 billion budget shortfall this year alone(2024) and civilly with random crime on the rise. Its a nice luxury item to strive for once order is established, but it is not an affordable one for Chicago at this point in time. Why are you showing images of a completely new stadium AND images of what was rolled out for "remodeling" the current stadium? It is confusing fir those who don't know the difference. They are not going to "remodel" the current Soldier Field so stop showing those images, lame.

    Need a retractable roof to get a Super Bowl. Don’t buy in until they include a retractable roof.
    This isn’t a Chicago guy with this accent. What does he know about Chicago or the Bears.👎🏻

    Chicago mayor don't have budget to pay for this project i my self made the redevelopment to the current stadium with Illinois governor George Ryan that was then it was redone and I don't think it needs any more work to be completed what bears stadium needs is a bigger parking that is all we need

    Who cares about a new stadium for a team that can't compete in the NFL. Sell that to a your season ticket holders spending money on a team that has been a failure since their last super bowl win 38 years ago. When they had a GM Gerry Vainisi who put that 85 team together with a coach that new how to coach. So all you bear fans where is the love coming from where is the success this team clearly hasn't had for nearly 4 decades. This new stadium who is going to pay for the fans and tax payers. Whose got funds for a dead horse in the race ...

      No indoor stadium means no year round revenue, no final four, no concerts, no super bowl. Their bottom line means more than your opinion.

      It needs to be an indoor stadium so we can host a super bowl in chicago, and also it needs to be in the city of Chicago and not in the suburbs
