I did my homework on the Jackson County Stadium tax ballot issues. I’ve also done extensive research on all the recent new NFL stadium builds, in other cities, and how they were financed. Both the Browns and the Titans stadiums opened in 1999, with the Titans are currently building a new stadium, estimated $2.1B, taxpayers cost $1.26B. (haven’t won a SB). The Bills stadium opened in 1973, is 51 years old, estimated @ $2.1B, $560M over estimated cost, taxpayers cost $1.4B. Arrowhead opened in 1972, making it 52 yrs. old. Stadiums are heavily financed by taxpayers. There have been 5 new stadiums built between 2020 - 2023, with estimated cost $1.97B, taxpayers funded $750M. Only 3 stadiums have been built with private money, (SoFi, MetLife, & Gillette). Stadiums do not payoff for taxpayers, they don’t produce enough income to offset the costs. I’m sure you know all this.

Both Kaufman stadium and arrowhead are very old and need to be replaced, as it’s been clear so far that there is little chance of a renovation. Meanwhile St. Louis is a sports city that just lost its nfl team do to a selfish owner. Saint Louis is dying for another nfl team and has the funding to build a stadium. The blues, cardinals and chiefs being together would be great for Missouri sports. Plus, it wouldn’t be that far for current chiefs fans to still go to games, while also establishing more of a fanbase for the team.
