Lajos sits on his throne in Buda Castle. The lands of Hungary is now under the auspices of Ottoman Empire.
Topkapı Palace gets the victory news. Mentioning İbrahim Pasha's service for the victory in conquest letter causes Hürrem to get even angrier. Hürrem wants Gül Aga to bring Yakup Efendi to the palace once again. Hürrem will see Yakup Efendi alone this time.
İbrahim Pasha gets fascinated with Apollo Hercules and Diana statues in Buda Castle's garden. Sultan Suleiman gives the statues as a present to İbrahim Pasha for the honor of his outstanding success. He charges Bali Bey to take the statues and the other war trophies to Istanbul.
The ship of Castilla Princess Isabella Fortuna gets attacked by the pirates offshore of the Aegean Sea. Pirates holds the princess and her maid captive and bring them to Istanbul. The princess who is the fiancee of Frederick of House of Habsburg is a ver precious prisoner. The pirates wants to sell this prisone to Topkapı Palace.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

It brought tears to me how hatiche shouted on hurrem. It is so sad that often women who are in a powerful position shout on their own family members. My brother's wife who is much younger to me shouted on me using similar words and even worse. Because I don't have parents I always felt my brother is my maternal home and I long for little respect from my brother and sister in law. Both of them ignore me and shout on me. They never treat me, my husband and my child as their family. When hurrem was telling that no one can ignore mirmihah and no one can dare disrespect her i cried thinking of the humiliations I still face from my own brother and his wife. I wish no woman disrespects anyone else and show some value no matter in what state of mind they may be in.
But she should have teach her to be kind towards slaves and normal people, ofcourse we can't expect that from hurrem though..
Hatice Sultan's whole character was all about crying, self-pitying herself etc and now she's become narcissistic too. What a combination!

I find her presenting as a textbook Borderline Personality. The Narcissism for one in her position is kind of expected and comes with the territory. ALL of the them have narcissistic traits. But she has this overwhelming fear of abandonment AND she also engages in splitting a lot. She has high and lows of idealizing and then devaluing other people. (Also understandable because of the trauma she went through when she was enslaved.) Also, I find her more Histrionic rather than Narcissistic.

I love it when Suleiman always reminds himself that the victory is not just about him. What a great example to stay humble in all the achievements we had in life.

Because killing his best friend, due to Hurrem's and later to Rustem's lies, she also tortured Syleiman, who had blinded by her and actually she had manipulated and had in her control Syleiman. Hurrem had placed herself between two friends and had seperated them each other and Syleiman had believed in Hurrem's lies and had been manipulated and was actually a marionette of his beloved wife, who was not nothing more than a slave. Hatice was too proud . Her emotional outburst could have been translated as over possessiveness of a true lover but it was actually her arrogance and pride that made hurrem felt so low. The way she spoke to her daughter is a way in which a helpless woman speaks to her children. So sad that hatice killed herself but an end well deserved for being so short sighted and overtly proud

The thing that annoys me isn't the acting, it's the script. Isabella of Castille was a great queen. She united her kingdom Castille with Aragon by marrying king Ferdinand of Aragon. One of their daughters was Catherine of Aragon. Isabella of Castille lived before suleiman, she died in her 50s when he was 10 years old.

The first 25 episodes had very good translation. The last two episodes have been dreadful. English words mixed up with other words which are not English!! Very frustrating to say the least!!!!

Nigar is a Muslim Girl Name. Nigar name meaning is Print, Mark, Stamp, Picture, Portrait, Artistic Work Like Embroidery. It has multiple Islamic meaning. The name is originated from Persian.

As the series goes on I love suleyman more and more. Deep down he is humble and wishes for the best. Hurrem was exactly what he needed to soften up the edges. Ibrahim on the other hand I have grown to hate with a passion. Hatice has become arrongant. Her and Ibrahim were meant for eachother uughhh I understand Ibrahim was kidnapped but to grow into a disgusting ball of barf is unacceptable and no excuse.
Please fix the english subtitles. Some of them makes no sense. I want to keep watching but it's getting hard to follow when the subtitles are messed up.
I'm losing my focus on the script. Been watching this from ep 1 since autumn, there. Only languages i'm fluent in are English, Scots dialect and just a wee bit of Malti (my Mum's homeland). But these subs are now ANNOYING. Wanted to watch this to the final ep as i'm very aware of The Great Siege of Malta 1565. These subs now, are absolutely distracting.

Hatije forgot one essential thing, though she is born to royal family, still her mother was a slave, at a point she and all royal men especially should understand that they all were born from slave mothers. On the contrary, be it Hurrem, Gulfem or Mahidevran, Valide Hafije.. all were born in not rich family yet from free people, they all were abducted at young age and forced into slavery, they are in fact better people trapped in weird situation and trying their best to maintain their status, taking efforts to rise up and are actually much stronger than Hatije, Bayhen, etc. so called royal people born from slaves, even the king is half slave from mother side, so are his predecessors. None of them is pure royal blood.
