Thanks for the tip on getting the new springs back in. I just finished installing my new lift.
Glad the video helped you!
Thanks for the video man, I feel more confident on doing the install myself now. I just got the same lift kit for my 2021 4runner. And I got the UCA's, diff drop and front sway bar extended end links. Hopefully I don't royally mess up lol. 🤟🔥
I was fixing to pull the trigger on a lift and THE FIRST one with a GREAT VID (minus not having a link to purchase it) would get my money. I was almost sold on this lift but in 1 weeks time the 4runner will be lifted!!
Glad you liked the video. What lift did you go with?
This helps so much!! I watched a few videos, some remove the UCA's some use a hoist. I could not figure out how I would have room to remove the front struts 👌👌
Also great trick for the back springs.
Thanks for this
I see you only used the torque wrench on the lugs, dis you bother anywhere else?
Also the sway bar and the gap, not sure I understand why you could not close the gap?
Thanks again

Buen contenido, acabo de comprar lo mismo y pronto lo instalaré en mi 4Runner 2022 👍
this makes that look way easier than it probably is
This was a great video idea for the 4Runner community! I have had my eye on RC lift kit for a while. I am still researching what is the correct tire size and how the c4 low pro bumper will effect handling. I am also looking for the lightest winch possible.
We really enjoy the lift and adding 285/70R-17 to the stock wheel really made a difference. We are in the hunt for a hidden bumper and winch. Glad our vid could help.
Very, very helpful. Thanks a lot
Awesome!
Did you add upper control arms to your lift? I’m told 2.5-3” of lift you really should add aftermarket arms to get the alignment back to spec
with this kit did you not need the 3" upper control arms, sway bar drop brackets for front or back or brake line extensions ?
Greetings, I've been trying to install the rough country 76631 lift kit for a long time, but 3 inches on a 4 runner 2019 2W, with the front struts, the rear shocks and the rear differential coil springs.. the rough country official site It does not have anything compatible with Toyota Runner 5th generation 2W, everything is for 4x4.
Other sites on the market have the same 76631 kit parts and they claim to be compatible with 4RUNNER 2W and that they can be installed, I don't know what to think...
Hi where do I get this exact 3 inch lift set up? I can't find it
I just ordered this kit and I was wondering if I need new UCAs?
Just curious, what led you to choose the RC kit over all the others available for the 4Runner? And after 6 months, how are you still liking it? Did it align okay, and has the height settled any since then? Thanks!
I chose RC for two reasons, DIY install and price. After 6 months the 4Runner rides better in my opinion. I am still happy with my choice to install RC and would happily do it again. Toyota had to do the alignment du to the front sensor and there were no issues. The front has not really settled too much but I am glad it hasn’t. I plan to install a steel bumper and wench. This will add some significant weight thus adjusting the front end.
@@zonacamphike2904 Thanks for the info, I'm glad it's working out well for you. I'm currently researching suspensions for mine, so I will add this one to the list.
Did this lift fix the horrible front end dive and body roll issue with the stock 4runner suspension?.
There is still a bit of front end dive but much less roll. Hope this helps.
How is it holding up? How do you like it? I’m looking at this 3” lift and some JBA UCAs. My 4R is currently sitting on 285/70/17 with a basic lift kit.
It is doing great. Just took it out to Sadona and it was amazing.
Hey Nick, thank you for this! I’ve got the same 2020 4Runner and have been thinking about a 3-inch lift. Looking to also go to 285 70R/17 tires (from the stock 265’s). Definitely looks like the lift will accommodate the new tires without any bumper trimming. Your thoughts? Great video! 👍👍👍
I haven’t had any issues so far! I guess it depends on your tire choice.
@@zonacamphike2904did your springs settled yet ?? And how much lowered you think the springs settled??
@@zonacamphike2904I heard it will settled to like 1/2 inch or so.
Could be. Haven’t measured to be honest.
Excellent video, congratulations. I really like the rack on the roof. Please, what brand is it?
The roof rack is by Victory 4x4. Watch out install here ruclips.net/video/wTIzKg_NaKI/видео.html.
how does it drive? is it smooth or rough as the name indicates? I installed a RC kit on my jeep and it is very very rough, hate to put one on my 4 runner and have the same problem, any feedback would be very much appreciated.
It is a bit rougher. I wouldn’t say it was significant but you will feel it. That said, I am happy with the ride overall and would do it again.
Hello, love the lift how’s the lift running and did you do a diff drop? I have a 2022 4Runner 4W drive and I’m deciding to get the 3inch rough country, just looking for a basic simple 3inch for daily ride not really
Into off road. Thank you
The lift has been great with no issues or ride complaints. If I had the choice, I would do it again. Definitely recommend the RC lift!
@@zonacamphike2904 did you do diff drop? Also did you install aftermarket uca?
@@Aaronchristiann We are still here! No, I did not use an aftermarket uca.
@@zonacamphike2904 You will love the way it drives with aftermarket high caster UCAs.
Great video, Thanks! Sub'd. Are you in Arizona also?
Yeah we are in AZ! Thanks for the sub!
How is the lift settling so far, is it still rough or manageable ? Would you have opted for bilsteins after installing this?
The lift has settled very well and the ride is perfect in my opinion.
quiero comprar uno de ese mismo donde lo puedo comprar y otra pregunta que dura o mas suave
por medio de rough county
No issues with toyota safety sensors after the 3” lift?
Not so far. Been a pretty seamless transition for me.
Final Review? How Does it drive on/off road? Any rake ?
I don’t fell any difference in the ride. Slight rake in the front and have not taken it off road yet.
Does it look good 3inch lift RC kit with 265Ko2 tires On?
I think it looks great.
Nice video and nice 4R. Buy yourself an electric ratchet though lol
Hah! Probably a good idea!
Did you need a diff drop? Or new upper control arms?
Did not.
@@zonacamphike2904are you still liking the the lift kit??
Yeah. Had no issues to date.
So are uca's even needed for these lifts?
Nope, not needed.
It’s not but recommended. Anything 3-4 inch lift on any vehicle. Definitely for clearance.
Non KDSS by the looks of it?
Correct
Praying for no abs and brake like damage with all that tension put on them 🙏🏼
Hah!
3 inch is the safe zone, 3+ inch is were you need extended break lines.
@@RCGJR_ @6:20 look at the brake line
@@bryanrose20 the line was stretched bc it wasn't bolted up yet.
With 3” you should get the diff drop bracket and a rear brake line relocation kit. If you get the diff drop bracket though the bracket will rub/touch your skid plate if you are using a TRD plate. This is stuff they dont tell you online.
How is ride quality ?
Been really good so far.
Please for the love of god stop hammering bolts out when they just slide right in and out of you put pressure on the lower
Rough country lifts. The lift for people who don’t know crap about lift kits. Get a quality lift kit next time.
People are gonna bitch no matter what, it’s a budget lift for a reason get over it, it’s not your 4runner
@@keith1776 amen
Define quality and what’s a similar setup for 1000$ ?
@@cppctekbilstein, eibach
Didnt switch the front control arms?
Nope. We left them.
Truly what does not Kill you makes you stronger..Lol..4Runners are nice but Jeeps are Hella way Cooler!
Hella shittier on road and comfort
Had a xterra 08 off-road
2014 wrangler rubi and now 2022 trd off-road 4runner and jeep even lineX floors and underlined shit was noisy and tracked all over the road anything over 60 was worse than a military truck only benefit was off-road and easy to work on.
But I’ll hands down own a 4runner or Nissan xterra over a jeep forever
Jeep still has not given adjustable electric seats to driver and passenger yet
