I have been following these Mass school shootings for a long time now, and I have noticed something interesting. Every time it happens, there is massive attention paid to the victims of the shooter, To the Gory details of the event, but one thing seems to always be left out. Nobody talks about the shooter themselves except in the most superficial way. Doesn't anybody think that the persons that instigated these horrible events, is worth some serious study to find out what motivated them? I'm sick of hearing them just brushed off as crazed lunatics. Very few of them actually survived the event. Wouldn't it be worth while to find them, talk to them, and find out what motivated them to do it? You don't cure a disease just by studying the victims. You need to study the disease.

From a witness: Officers baited the shooter by asking hiding children in distress to call out "help". When a child did this, the shooter shot him, revealing the location of the shooter so that an officer could take him out.

I know I’m not the only who is completely appalled and extremely confused as to how this all happened. 1) shooter kills grandmother. 2) Teacher props door open? For what reason? 3) after crashing the grandmothers truck on the edge of school property, manages to run to the school while firing on funeral home employees. Hides behind cars in parking lot, and somehow manages to find and enter the one door that was propped open? And find a classroom door that was not locked down yet even after all of that? On top of all that, the disgusting cowardice of law enforcement. I don’t care if they were receiving orders, you enter that classroom any way you can. Not wait for a janitors key. I have been following these Mass school shootings for a long time now, and I have noticed something interesting. Every time it happens, there is massive attention paid to the victims of the shooter, To the Gory details of the event, but one thing seems to always be left out. Nobody talks about the shooter themselves except in the most superficial way. Doesn't anybody think that the persons that instigated these horrible events, is worth some serious study to find out what motivated them? I'm sick of hearing them just brushed off as crazed lunatics. Very few of them actually survived the event. Wouldn't it be worth while to find them, talk to them, and find out what motivated them to do it? You don't cure a disease just by studying the victims. You need to study the disease.
The problem is: If you give them too much attention, that's a motivation to do it. There should be investigations and so of course.

You know just the patterns. We may find out that there is way more to the story than The media is telling us. As a rule I don't like to look at the things that I'm being told to look at, because that's usually where the important stuff is not. So much of what we see in the media is like a magician's trick. Look here, don't look over there. These mass shootings look very much like that magician's trick right now. I want to look in the places that they're not looking. Sometimes it seems like the gun debate is the only thing anybody cares about, instead of trying to find out what the cause of these shootings are and bring them to an end.

Officers baited the shooter by asking hiding children in distress to call out "help". When a child did this, the shooter shot him, revealing the location of the shooter so that an officer could take him out.

There was enough time for the cops to put a BOLO out on the shooter, and alert the nearby public areas of a potential shooter but nothing was done, their response is too slow; he initially shot his grandmother the police knew this and did not react quick

No every school should have armed security guards. The school my mom teaches at has medal detectors n security guards. All schools need to have lockdown plans in place, like the doors should be locked at all times n even have those security grates over the doors n the windows on the first floor.

Bless them. I really respect US culture and like the people but the gun and healthcare situation is really absurd to me. It seems the propaganda drowns out evidence and common sense. The answer to guns is... more guns? I see people say it's their right but rights come with responsibilities. I see people say it's protecting them from bad actors or the government but bad actors won't take you on face to face and in a fantasy world where they're openly aggressive, the government has bigger guns in the hands of better trained people with the authority to kill. They have surveillance and nukes. I've never seen one example of a good citizen with a gun saving other citizens from harm. Usually the heros are unarmed and risk their own lives. No crime suspect has ever been saved from cops by having a gun. No citizen has killed a soldier in self-defence. It's just an absurd hypothetical to argue against a pervasive and proven reality! It's so common and these are real lives, not characters in a Hollywood movie. To anyone on the outside, it's just insane and it's the primary reason why I wouldn't ever live in the US or encourage anyone to live there. Anyone can have a gun, no matter how irresponsible and unstable and people will use them over so little, or over nothing at all. I hope there will be a shift in attitude and I hope someone reading this might understand why I am writing it. All deaths are tragic but these ones are just so, so senseless and awful that it is beyond comprehension. Even if you don't have the answers, the frequency of mass-shootings and growing normality should raise some tough questions that people need to work together to answer
