Justin Hayward - Tuesday Afternoon; Munhall, PA - October 19, 2023

Justin Hayward: The Harmony Tour 2023, Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall, Munhall, PA. "Tuesday Afternoon" from the 1967 Moody Blues Album "Days of Future Passed". Accompanying Justin was his amazing touring band, consisting of Guitarist Mike Dawes, Flutist Karmen Gould (also Backing Vocals) and Julie Ragins (Keyboards / Backing Vocals), who was unfortunately obscured from my view by a tower of speakers during the entire show.
I would also like to add here that Justin’s Opening Act (and bandmate), Guitarist Mike Dawes, was totally AWESOME! He is 34 years old, and told the audience that 10 years earlier, on this stage at the Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall in Munhall, PA, he played his very first US gig!

From my standpoint, going into the Venue, I was excited just to see Justin Hayward perform in an intimate setting. I knew nothing about the young man opening for him. What I saw was an engaging performance by someone who completely captivated the audience; not only by his mesmerizing guitarwork, but also by his wit and charm. His “warm up” set the tone for the rest of a most enjoyable evening!

Tuesday Afternoon is nothing short of a masterpiece! I was very fortunate to have attended five of Justin’s concerts since June and I will never tire of hearing him sing! Thank you so much for this video but a very special thank you for the lovely write up you did on Mike Dawes. I’ve spoken with him several times and he is as you said, very charming, witty and unbelievably talented! Thank you again for posting this! 😊

Thank You, Sena! I also have some footage of Mike from this show as well; However before I post footage, I always check first to see if the Artist in question has been posted by fans from previous shows... if so, I feel pretty safe in posting mine as well, since I am not doing it for monetary gain, but I certainly don't want to go against any Artists wishes, whatever they may be...(I was "slapped" by RUclips a few years back, the very first time I posted concert footage of a certain popular band) ....That being said, I really don't see any "fan footage" from any of Mr. Dawes' performances. The Professional RUclips footage is wonderful, though...!
On a side note... I've been to many Stadium and Arena concerts going back to the mid- 1970's (My first Concert was The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and Boz Scaggs at Three Rivers Stadium on July 24, 1976), but at this "stage" of my life, although I still love the Music / Performers that I grew up with, I am really starting to enjoy the Small Venue Shows, and getting introduced to some really spectacular Masters that have been under my radar... folks like Leo Kottke, Mike Dawes, and from this show, I learned about Tommy Emmanuel....
Through a "Domino Effect", I now have a ticket to see Mr. Tommy Emmanuel perform at The Roxian Theatre (built in 1929 and recently restored) in McKees Rocks, PA, on May 19, 2024, just under a half-hour from where I reside! Something wonderful to look forward to !
