  • Justin Hayward: The Harmony Tour 2023, Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall, Munhall, PA. Justin intimately shares with the audience his inspirations for the following song, then performs “The Western Sky" from the 2013 Justin Hayward Album "Spirits of the Western Sky ". Accompanying Justin was his amazing touring band, consisting of Guitarist Mike Dawes, Flutist Karmen Gould (also Backing Vocals) and Julie Ragins (Keyboards / Backing Vocals), who was unfortunately obscured from my view by a tower of speakers during the entire show.

Thank You! I love smaller venues, where the Musicians really get a chance to tell origin stories behind some of their songs

I went to college in Lubbock, Texas at Texas tech University in the late 60' and early 70's. No matter where you went to listen to music , you always heard Justin's hero being played live and the bands covered it so well and always gave him respect. It was a new era of music for me and soaked it in. Great memories I have of those nights with friends. ❤

Lubbock is up there on my bucket list! Same with the Surf Ballroom, in Clear Lake, IA….
A few decades ago, I saw “The Crickets” perform at the Three Rivers Arts Festival in Pittsburgh… I had my “Remembering Buddy” Bio (Goldrosen and Beecher) with me, where it was kindly autographed by Original Drummer Jerry Allison , Original Bassist Joe B. Mauldin, and Guitarist Gordon Payne covering the vocals at the time. One of the highlights of my life! ☀️

Justin's crack about "making it up the hill" was hilarious. The Carnegie is midway up a major hillside. We were there with the rest of the geezers. Love the guy.

First concert that I saw at the Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall was in 2015 when the Zombies (current lineup) reunited with their original bassist Chris White and drummer Hugh Grundy for the 50th anniversary of
“Odessey & Oracle”… I walked UP the Hill for that, so I was laughing too…
Since then, I learned to find street parking near, but ABOVE, the Venue, and walk down to the show…. 😉
