    In 2012, I watched this video and was just determined to get to that length. I used it as my motivation. I have now passed that length in 3 years and am 2 inches from waist length. Now that the length is here, I find myself more concerned with styles than length.

    There is no hair you can buy that will compliment you more than what God has already blessed you with. Patience is the great reward. Love the hair you have. Thanks for this video India.

    This is so dope, I'm soooo proud of my black sistas taking this stand against the mainstream idea of beauty. We are most beautiful in our natural state,my last relaxer was dec1,11 I'm transitioning at this time. I started the year 2012 riding myself of harmful chenicals. The best thing is to see my daughter now loving her own natural hair!

    You mean three years of been natural but definitely not three years of natural hair growth because you already have about 4 to 6 inches of hair on your hair after the big chop

      Try protective hairstyles, trim your hair yourself twice a year, and moisturizer daily with water and moisturizers, follow natural87

    • @asymone87
      @asymone87 9 лет назад +1

      You need constant moisture too...like DAILY deep condition one a week or twice a month. Co wash instead of using shampoo. ..shampoo once or twice a month... massage your scalp when you can. And keep your ends trimmed AS NEEDED if you dont & your hair gets dry thats how youll expirience breakage. Also no heat and BABY your ends!! Thats what i do n i literally used to think my hair couldn't grow...& its grown A TON. 4a hairtype too so my hair gets DRY!!! And ive still managed to see so much growth during my two year journey :)

    2. My mother, grandmother, and sister always had long hair, but mine never grew. When I started my hair growth journey it took me a long time to find products that worked, since my hair is particularly finicky and is sensitive to many ingredients. Glycerin, Castor Oil, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Honey, Mango and Shampoo. All very common ingredients in black hair products. Once I finally found the right ones, it only took a year for my hair to grow from my shoulders to the middle of my back.

    I am also three years natural, and it has been a blessing. Once you hit a few years being natural, you start to appreciate your natural hair. I stop relaxing my hair because I was fed up of paying $80 dollars to have it done due to the fact my hair was very thick & long. I also wanted to cut my ties before the relaxer could cause any damages to my hair. I've been able to have healthy hair due to unintentionally stretching (At times I would go a few months without getting it relax).

  • @msvikkiv
    @msvikkiv 12 лет назад

    I love this I'm transitioning now. Almost 6 months since my last relaxer. I'll probably do my big chop within the next 6 months to a year. I went natural before and stayed that way for about a year. Then decided to get a texturizer then back to a relaxer. It's been a bumpy road for me but this video is truly inspiration.

    I totally agree with you, but sometimes it's just sooo hard to be patient. I'm still a transitioner, and have been transitioning for a little over a year now. I'm still excited about how my hair will look once I get a big chop (though that date is still tbd). But some days, I'm just like "GROW FASTER!" lol I know I need to be patient, but some days it can be a little frustrating, especially seeing all of these beautiful naturals on youtube and everywhere else! Wonderful video. I will be 3 yrs in at the end of this year and I am really hoping to reach BSL or get very close to it. I didn't start my journey until after I was 40. I really didn't know about the wealth of info here on youtube until very recently. I have been able to get to just shy of APL on my own thru trial and error, but now with all the new stuff I have learned I think I will see major progress by years end. I encourage everyone to stay committed and diligent about good hair care.
