    I own the Black Snowboard of Death and the K2 Alchemist Both are great charging boards, I take the K2 for the icy hard pack days and the BSOD on the softer days and both let me Rip and have the most fun I have had in years snowboarding. Really reignited my passion for the sport. I have some K2 Formula C from 2019 so now I just got to upgrade my bindings. Any recs for those 2 boards?

    Looking at the 2023 Ride Commissioner sizing chart...At 170 pounds, 8.5 US boot, 5'11" tall, the 153 seems to be the size to go with, but that seems too close to my 151 superpig, which is a volume shifted model. Great channel, been binge-watching for the last couple days..
    Been spending 10yrs on a 2013 Slayblade 166W (last edition with fully flat profile), and still enjoy it.. but also eager to try something new. But I can’t quite figure out where the Slayblade sits against today’s boards. Best thing about the Slayblade for me is charging hard, flicking it from edge to edge without effort, jump off the occasional terrain feature and being able to do it on hard/icy groomers in the morning and tracked out slush/moguls in the afternoon. And still has decent pow float (not that I get to see pow much). Anything on this list that would line up with that for a 6ft3in, 190lbs, size 13 guy? Leaning towards the BSOD 165W...

    Is the Commissioner the new Timeless? Thats easily the stiffest board I've ever ridden

      The rep gave me a timeless back in the day when I was working in a shop. Base was so fast and the board was such a beast!

    BSOD or Nidecker Thruster as ice coast groomer ripper, or something else?

      You just want something for laying trenches?

      @@AngrySnowboarder Pretty much, though I wouldn't mind a bit of versatility. I have a resort twin for screwing around on and park laps so it can be a bit more specialized.

      Might be time to start looking at a Korua and give yourself some real unique options.

      @@AngrySnowboarder They have definitely been on my radar. The cafe racer looks interesting, it runs shorter with less effective edge in my ideal size compared to the other two. The Thruster and BSOD I can go 159 with the same waist and weight range as the 156 cafe.

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  7 месяцев назад +1

      Cafe Racer lays trenches but from what you're describing to me and the fact you mentioned the Thruster I was thinking the Pencil for more of a slow mellow carver with swoopy turns.

    Don’t really get how you put the Alchemist on this list. The nose is way to soft to charge that board in variable conditions. You made me buy a Surfari, that board is way more of a freeride charger that you can charge through anything with. Surfari is way superior to the Alchemist.

    Ride has Slimewalls in their urethane sidewalls, not Slimwalls. Pronounced like the skateboard wheel, Slimeball.
