I just found your channel this week and I'm truly glad I did. I've been working out everyday for the past 54 days at this point. Myself and a friend started out with a goal of 30 days straight. My new goal is 90 days straight. I know... not healthy and not recommended. Just wanted to let you know that I greatly appreciate all the exercise variations that I've discovered on your channel. It helps me to be able to switch up my routine on a daily basis to avoid monotony. Your form is picture perfect. Keep up the great work. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏼
*Excellent video miss, I would like if I may, to share an excellent upper back exercise, for crazy lat and upper back and rear delt growth, it's an isolation exercise.* You take two travel bags, fill them up with sand from the beach(or wherever), fill them up enough to work in your desired rep range. Now what you will do is, grab them bags by their handle, get in a bent over row position, on a sofa, or the edge of your bed, and then keep your arms locked straight, and raise those straight arms directly backwards, towards the ceiling, and then bring them back down to the vertical angle, that's one rep. This isolates the lats and upper back and rear delt unbelievably well.... The burn is amazing. You do 3 sets till failure every other day or every two other days(72 hours) depending upon your recovery, and within a month you can see your lats have grown crazy wide AND THICK. Now another exercise is simply get into a one arm plank position, with your hand on a table and feet on another(two tables of equal height), hang a weight (a travel bag filled with sand) from the other arm, *and simply do one arm rows,* again, depending upon your progressive overload demands or the rep range you wanna work at, you will put in more or less sand into the bag. You can also do weighted one arm push ups from that position, and I did exactly that for the last 6 years, now I have a double bodyweight bench at 100kilo, I benched 4 plates the first time I ever benched, and after 3 weeks I benched 445lbs. Now I bench 465lbs, however, since the lockdown I have been doing those weighted one arm push ups again..... And strength gains have been through the roof.... Sand is free, everyone has travel bags, no need for gyms to get strong and big as hell.
Im a old school workout type of guy and seen about everything from extensive track workouts to millions of barbell variations from old books to new innovations. I also love high rep high intensity Calisthenic kings like Iron wolf and moses etc. because that matches me better. But you NEVER let me down. I cant see myself doing about half of these (even though they are all good) but about 30-40% are fantastic for ME. And its hard to hit the back with all the gyms closed down now. At least it was. I know I’m commenting on an old video but Thanks anyway 🙏 🌹
I just want to say is that we're so amazing and awesome with right knowledge of the humanbody's movement balance and strength. I've learn so much from you your are the person I've been looking for. I LOVE you so much for being you. I love this channel
Many variations of Bodyweight Back workout targeting back from all angles....never had thought there can so many exercises. That's a very good compilation of Bodyweight back. Thank You!
Liked the video but would have loved to hear verbal cues about what do and what to pay attention to for correct form/best results :) Hope you can incorporate that to a future video!
Who cares if they look silly, they're the most effective and natural exercises I've ever seen! Your channel is an absolute gem, wish I could train at your gym :)
I really liked this video, however, it would be more helpful if you were wearing a tank so the viewer could see the subtle range of motion in your back, especially during scapular push ups, presses, etc.
You are amazing today I just saw your workouts with the different push-ups variations now this back workouts routines is great because I suffer from lower and upper back pains I’ve been doing reverse back extensions but I needed help thank you for your time and motivation keep helping us to get better.
Thank you for this❤️ I can’t do a lot of back exercises because I shattered it and had reconstructive surgery. It’s sad when you have worked out your whole life, then it gets taken away because of an injury and then you can’t work out like you used to. Most of these I can do and I really appreciate the tips! Please do more like these so I can do them❤️
Thank you for posting this. I got to the point where I could do bodyweight exercises for everything except for my back. I only knew a few things that worked it with bodyweight. These helped me a ton, I appreciate your expertise and teaching!
This is a really helpful set of exercises. Would you add a breakdown of sets and reps? Would you split the 17 exercises over 4 days? Programming tips would really help the novice ! Thank you
I would use only a few moves based on your needs and goals and maybe only use 4-6 for a few weeks once a week. Just depends on how you've designed your workout routine!
Redefining Strength Thank you! I am trying to get strength to do pull ups but as the gym is now closed I was wondering about these exercises! I’m no expert and I follow the gym program. If I may, ill share this with my coach and ask his opinion.
YESSS! I teach classes and needed some inspo on how to get a room full of people strengthening their backs with minimal equipment. A bunch of these exercises are going to be perfect - thank youuu!
Omg I love your videos so much!! Thank you! Could you make a video on how to design our own home gym/garage gym (low cost possibly) as I am buying some fitness equipment because gyms are all closed! I need your ideas x LOVE YOUR CHANNEL
Hey..was looking around for back workout without equipment during this quarantine..i must say what you showed are the best one and yet simple..still give good workout and soreness ...keep it up 👍
Hii... You are awesome.. I really love and enjoy your sessions.....a warm thanks to you 🤗🤗 And I need to know about latts muscles and traps drills in your forms... Could you please please share it.... It will great.. I know it will be blast... 🤗
I appreciate the work you're putting out and how it is an extension of the physio that I was doing for back/shoulder strengthening, post shoulder injury! (3,4,5 are part of my physio)
You know why? That means you need to activate your back muscles to help with the mobility work you're already doing. Foam rolling and stretching are key, but if you don't get the right muscles working, you'll continue to have pain. By combining the other videos with these back exercises you'll prevent pain long term :-)
Will these help if you have extra weight around the bra strap area? I've heard there's an exercise called "Halo's" that are good for that. Also will this help if you have degenerative discs, a disc in the lower back out of place and arthritis in your back? I've been through physical therapy. My spine Dr said if the muscles in the core are strengthened it will help. But he said nothing about exercises in the back. I'm pretty much binge watching your videos to put together a workout plan. You've shown not only so a wide variety of exercises but also so many I've never seen before. I appreciate you and your channel. And I thank you for not thirst trapping us. Because I went through a number of channels before I found yours and Critical Bench. You two have a high quality of content and are very knowledgeable. I appreciate that. 🙂
Hi, this is just what i needed. Like your body weight exercises. Wish u could do voice overs to explain more on the workout, ie which part of the muscles we want to focus on or tips and advice when u go through the workouts. thanks a bunch!
Hey, thank you for the excellent demonstration, you are a good teacher, I have a question, wich exercise was the best focusing in the dorsal muscles and the most intense/hard?
your are just genius ,i always find the exercises that i need in your training videos , keep going on ,your the best , you got all my respect ( thanks from algeria )
Have you had any experience for Bodyweight Strength Exercises that will help hip joint pain caused by Arthritis (Ball & Socket Joints)? In hopeful anticipation with thanks.
Excelente vídeo. La felicito por su trabajo. Muchas veces no hay barra. Excellent video. I enjoy this job. A lot off times there are no bar. One small is missed the tripod.
Really like this and I want to intersperse the back exercises with others that I’m doing. I know I saw a print description but now I can’t find it. Can you please tell me how to locate it. Many thanks
Great video and great channel! One of the few if not the only one that really shows such a variety of variations in exercises, kinda make me feel a bit dumb to haven't think about even few of them. GREAT WORK!!
Well I'm happy to provide some new ones for you. Just a library so we can all have a reference since there are just so many options out there and it is nice to have a place to find ones that match the specific goals we are working toward!
i am doing it after jogging and as u mentioned having no equipent at home and having shoulder impingement at right shoulder. so some more dofficult but i managed al of them. a aòmost at the end. but feet up to the wall...........that one i do not think so. anyway very powerful. greta to learn alll this new stuff which i can incorporate in my home work out. thank you
Hi Cori, today i tried some of your exercises to activate my back muscles. These varied excercises are really great. Kudos for you: Now i hate you :-) Kind regards.
Hi Cori! Just wondering on your exercise #13. I'm afraid of injuring my shoulder because of all the body is pressuring on that one joint, plus a rotation 😱😱😱😖🙈 Any tips on that to execute it properly? Thanks and blessings your way 🙏❤️❤️❤️
Hello I really love the content of your channel, I have a question, wich one of the exercises showed here is the most demanding in strength for the lats?
Thank you . Back exercises are the ones i ignored because of lack of pull up bar at my home. I just stick with few exercises like dumbell row, dumbell extensions etc., This has given me a variety. will i be able to grow my lat muscles with these exercises ?
You can build muscle by challenging the muscles. While these will get your lats if you really want to grow them without a pull up bar, pull overs and even resistance band lat pull downs are great!
This is great, I just found some exercises I haven't seen before... I don't want to go to the gym and have already achieved great results at home, but the back training at home seems to be difficult...
do you think it is absolutely necessary to go to the gym to get a toned back? Or is it possible to just do it at home (even if you have to buy some stuff for it)
Great tips.......I just knew you had our backs....thanks!!
Thanks! Great comment ;-)
