- Time to have a good look at the interior on the new truck, bad headliner was to be expected, but the interior is complete and otherwise undamaged, when looking for a project the condition of the interior is vital, interior parts are the most expensive and hard to find items in most cases.

Love seeing these old trucks so up close and personal. Thanks for the time and effort as always sir. Much appreciated!
Nice spec. Going to be amazing when it’s done. Thanks for filming.
Gotta keep that old TV in there!! That will look so good in there after you get it all cleaned up.
i love this truck if i wasent 11 id buy it
Keep it original. That would be awesome. Check out the Day Cab company for the interior.
A nice old truck you have.
Never saw an MPG gauge before either.
Also never saw the early model 3406B 425 with a Jake brake. (Saw later models)
Strange there are no armrests for the seats. (Our 84 and 86 models had them) I know there was more room in the flat top sleeper as a refrigerator could be placed in the closet with room to place boots beside it.
You are right in that there were and are more gages in other Petes. (The picture of my 78 models Pete hood I sent you had an owner opp package with a lot more gages).
What year did Pete get away from the white steering wheel?
(One of those Trix questions)
I still say that Fruitloop had the best interior liners in their trucks back then over Pete and KW.
(Across the border from Laredo TX there was a shop there in the 70s and 80s that did the best interior liners you ever laid eyes on. Can't remember the name of the place now, but if you ask around you could more than likely find it if it still is in business. It was down from the guys who made boots.)
If you know how to set the air ride upon the drivers, you can have either a truck ride or a car ride feel. (Almost a car ride that is) I set more than one up on the road running with hands and they could not believe the difference in the ride. (Old man at Pete in the Dome showed me how to do it.)
Hope you have fun with this truck putting her back together and all.
Good info as always 👍 my 78 has the white wheel..... haven't seen many others with them in tho 🤔
Love these old 359s. But if I had to choose I think id still choose a early 379 over a 359.
I like both but the 359 had a nicer looking cab
Thanks for the tour!
The TV is awesome you should do a video to see if you can get it working
EZRider has a series on a similar truck. Old Red he calls it. Got a new Cat recently to replace the failed Cummins.
So AWESOME driv,ah
Clean looking dash. Good luck with that head liner and seats. Is the bug deflectors factory??
They were the cool thing in the day... probably on since new
I think you’re in Ontario. Are you putting it on historic plates? Trying to figure out the easiest path for a toy vintage truck here.
Farm plates are cheap and easy but obviously not an option for many people, im not old enough to do historic plates (must be 26 to insure) restrictions are a little annoying, my advise would be get a sticker for great lakes truck club or similar. That way you gave more excuses if you ever get hassled, i know some guys have had hard times with cops with historic plates on cars but personally i know nothing
Thx, Farm plates not an option. I’ll try historic and go from there. Looking forward to your restoration videos.
Not sure how to describe the smell. Proceeds to shut the door immediately
are you restoring this for your Brother? or are you sharing? either way am sure you both will enjoy this rare beauty..
Im just helping and taking videos
He said 389 for some reason
I said i wish my 389 had the switch on the post, easier to find in the dark
@@Bubbles8V92 didn't know you had one
I just dont have videos of it, 2022 x15, its the moneymaker 🥲
It smells bad because probably the original owner died in it
