In late March I came across your channel and started watching your full playlist of 749 videos. Over the past ~7 months, I've been slowly making my way through the videos and, just today, I've caught up to the present day!! You two have had such a positive impact on my life. Not just on my mental health during the isolation in Covid times, but on my imagination for what my future can hold. It's my dream to travel the world full time, but you guys inspire me to make it more than just a dream! :) Thank you sincerely for everything!
@Erik Carter Awwww, I did the same nearly 3 years ago! Finding Kara & Nate honestly changed my life (and I don't take that phrase lightly). Welcome to the Community!
The most enjoyable part of today’s vlog: Nat and Kara critiquing their video! Lol! P.S. I can totally see Kara and Nate as an elderly couple married for 50 years! It’s that blooper scene at the end where Kara is comforting Nate after he bumps his head. I had this vision of an elderly Kara saying the same thing! Lol!
Kara is a genious editor. I laughed out loud with her cooking the curry the same time Nate was working on the toilet. Clever edititing make it enjoyable to watch and to chuckle over! Thank you! 😘
Only Kara and Nate can take an average, ordinary day, and somehow make it super entertaining to watch (2 million views currently). Well done you two, thanks for all the amazing content.
the fact that I didn't get bored for the entire 22 minutes after watching this simple video makes you guys the 'Best In The Business'!!!!!best of luck for your adventures ahead!
Nate absolutely nailed it when he said it's the mix of you two that makes your channel. And absolutely correct, I love watching you guys, for the AMAZING cinematic shots, but I also love the rawness that we often get to experience, even when the camera angle or lighting is'nt perfect. And this video was awesome, especially Kara's constant "this isn't really what we always do" moments. Because youtube, like instagram etc, often shows this perfect life, which I think for most people, doesn't exist. Thank you guys for being you, and taking us along the way! Can't wait for the treehouse video!!!
Kara had me cracking up with her videos when "the Dad's " were riding the trails..the situations she admitted she didn't know how to do...water installation to tank, the bumpy rides on trails with the facial expressions and verbal sound effects . Kara seemed to just go with the flow. Showed how messy the van got with all the distractions from her routine..she was hilarious sometimes. Chosing to look at the funny side of things...It was different because it was Kara being herself. I enjoyed.
I've Watched you guys for a couple years and out of all the wonderful things you've shown my favourite part of every video is Nate making you a coffee to wake up too. it's what every man should do for his love.
Honestly, I loved this one just as much as all your other videos. It's not where you go or what you do that draws me, its who you are and the way you treat each other. The energy and the love that the two of you have is magical and it enriches the world!! Keep shining!

I loved the part about the final look at the edit and how much goes into editing your videos. Learning to edit videos is basically like learning a new language--there are so many different components to learn and master and it is exhilaratingly exhausting!
Kara please never stop including some of that raw footage, it is what really sets your vlogs apart. It makes your videos feel more down to earth & relatable. Other travel vlogs have become nothing but cinematic shots, no emotion, just feels like I'm watching a professional ad. They look beautiful, but dont make the viewers feel connected. The raw moments are what get people emotionally invested, & keeps us watching.
Congratulations on all the new sponsors. They could not have selected better people to highlight their products. And kudos to you both for consistently supplying great contract!
Seriously? Who enjoys watching a 22 minute advertisement? Are Apple also sponsors as you guys seem to be wearing the ear pods in pretty much every scene.

If your ears are ringing during the week it is because I am using you as an example for either travelling, van life or just general life things. Making my teenager watch you guys to be inspired. Once she leaves home - we are doing the van life and touring South Africa and then Europe in a Van. Be safe, Be well and Be Blessed. The Frankens, Polokwane, South Africa!
You two fell into this career at such a perfect time when vlogging was exploding on the internet, and its a platform you can do forever if you wanted to (Even during a pandemic!). Not to mention you are still so relatable and authentic with your content. You must have so much gratitude in your hearts. Love you guys!!
I found Kara and Nate back in July and have finally finished all 749 videos on the playlist! I did cheat and watch the new videos as they have been posted❤️. Watching y’all always stay positive and happy has made me more appreciative. Even my 15 year old son has watched y’alls videos in high school geography class. He was amazed I was watching a Younger couple travel. Im not that old 😂😂. Only 38!
I feel so happy watching your van life videos, for some reason you guys are just so positive and for everything that’s hard in life, you put a positive feeling to it
You guys have the best relationship. To work, live, and travel together 24/7 would be a recipe for disaster for many couples. You guys seem to always be supportive of one another, always so loving, and so positive. It’s nice to see couples thriving during the pandemic 😍😍😍
Would recommend cooking things like curries with the lid covered. Would reduce the time and fuel you spend cooking by a good margin. Good for the budget as well as the environment.
Had a stressful few days moving apartments, so I really needed my fix of K&N today! After discovering your channel in June, I have been watching all your vlogs from the beginning on most evenings and have finally caught up! This has been my daily routine for the past several months, and it was very interesting to learn about yours!
My favorite part about this video is when you two shared and confessed that you two fight every time you both review the videos before posting them. The transparency is beautiful and as a a young married woman I’m truly blessed by it. You two are adorable and your efforts to make that struggle a more peaceful experience is super sweet. You both a different individuals (though one in marriage) and it’s great how Nate brings light to the balance you both bring creatively. You both have so much to offer and I love watching your guys’ videos! ❤️ Keep up the great work!
little tip that my aunt uses since she grinds her own beans at the start with every week grind the amount of beans you’d like for the week and at any period of time in the week you may have to grind them. it helps you cut back on coffee and it’s a lot less work every morning!
Thanks for the discussion of your editing process. It was great hearing the creative tension that you two intentionally and purposefully seek. Thanks also for including the discussion in "bloops" about a particular segment that you disagreed about. It didn't matter whether I agreed with whatever the decision was, it was great to see that you remained respectful of each other and returned to "we're on the same team" and "I love you" after working through the difference in opinion. Also thank you, Kara, for the cooking segment. My mouth has been watering since you started it.
I LOVE how you both are each others missing piece! One can't be one without the other. Both beautiful people inside and out! You both are so refreshing to watch compare to other couples on this platform! You truly show what partnership consist of and doing it so well! Please stay strong and don't give up :) I'm rooting for you both and can't wait to keeping watching y'all grow and possibly grow a big family in the future! Love y'all
Hey Kara! This recipe was MONEY!! I ran out of turmeric and substituted Tandoori in it’s place and it was even more amazing than I imagined it to be! Just thought I’d recommend switching it up. Thank you so much for sharing that recipe.
I think the difference in your video editing style is what makes you guys unique but also still relatable. We love the beautiful cinematic shots but the raw, emotional stuff is what makes you real humans that most of us can feel connected to. I think you have a great mix and the videos always turn out great. I’ve been with your channel since about 15K. It’s amazing to see how far you have come. I adore y’all’s adventures and your relationship 🙂
I love how the both of you have your "niche" areas where you individually excel, Nate with "the business" side and Kara with the editing. Yet you don't hold it over the other in a negative way. I personally believe that would destroy the on air commarderie that you have for the joint task of producing your vlog! I did notice in the Colorado Trail series, Kara looked kinda concerned about doing stuff that: paraphrased: "Nate usually does this part, but he's on the bike, so here it goes." Good job of taking the initiative to learn something new, and props for Nate just accepting that Kara took the initiative to handle something that he is usually "responsible" for. Love your page!
Okay I didn't even realise that this video quality could be this better I mean it was awesome before but now it's on a whole new level. Love your new camera setups XD
Sooo, one of the features of your editing style I have come to love I call the quick sounds. For example, the quick succession of sounds that go along with Kara setting up the ginger, the garlic, the lime, the onion, the cilantro, the two cans of chickpeas, the can of coconut, the olive oil, the veggie broth and the bag of basmati rice. Part ASMR, part rapid story telling, and all in the space of, say, 3 seconds. [12.35-12:38] Is there a Kara/Nate story behind how this feature became a thing?
its amazing that they make their money with their online life. like they post amazing and super fun content for us to watch, they enjoy making it. they make money to travel and we're all happy, thats amazing

I do love Kara's raw, real footage but Nate's amazing drone shots are beautiful! It really is the perfect balance and makes for great content. I can't wait for the Oregon vlogs. My home state! ❤❤
Hello from Perth, Western Australia. Yet again a beautiful vlog...inspirational no matter what and where both of you are. I really appreciate the frank honest sharing as no couple is perfect but, as it was mentioned, compromising, talking and sharing together certainly helps deepens the relationship no matter where one is. Just beautiful!
Get a heat resistant hose that you can slip/clamp onto the exhaust pipe to get the exhaust fumes away from the van when camped and having to run the engine to charge batteries. Keeps the fumes from entering through small openings from wires and pipes routed through the body, door and windows, and factory body panel gaps. It will be ESPECIALLY USEFUL when you hit really cold temps and low sunlight from cloud cover and snow on the solar panels! BTW, you can get a small Wind Turbine for your van to supplement your electricity for $200 - $500 that produce up to 8000W and all you need is an outdoor connection to plug it in and a pole attachment spot where you can pop it up when you park and you have a backup power supply to supplement your electricity needs to add to the Solar panels and engine backup charging power!! Extra helpful when you have to park somewhere that may have a lot of shade from trees, clouds, buildings, hills, etc and the Solar panels aren't getting a full direct supply of sunlight!! Glad you guys are safe and enjoying your new mobile home style of travel!
if you have a freezer, you can freeze your ginger and then shred it with a microplane instead of trying to keep fresh ginger around all the time. Works for turmeric too.
Found your page today and have down the rabbit hole ever since. It is giving me an escape from a really tough time. Thank you for sharing your life. I just wish I would have found you guys sooner.

Useful and entertaining so thank you. (Chefs tip: when scraping food off the chopping board use the blunt side of the knife otherwise you dull the cutting edge and the knife will lose its sharpness)

Thank you for traveling to Colombia, my home country. It is nice for people to see that it is not a drug infested country with violence. My aunt has a condo in Santa Marta but it’s been years since I have been back. Keep up the good work!
Just a small tip Kara- with turmeric, you have to add a pinch of black pepper because it’s the black pepper that activates all the health benefits of the turmeric:)
Two tips! If you fold your yoga mat in half before rolling the upside won’t get dirty from touching the ground side. 2) using the back of you knife to push things into the pan will keep your blade sharper. ❤️
Kara/Nate: Have you two ever considered getting an atmospheric water generator? They're a little pricey (around $1500), but you'll always have access to water. They're about the size of a water bottle dispenser for homes/offices (assuming you have space in your vehicle).
I use to make curry similar to this and then I discovered....adding cauliflower. With adding cauliflower to get all the deliciousness of chickpea curry with the bulk of cauliflower. Seriously though...it really adds alot. :) I love your channel.

I love how the both of you have your "niche" areas where you individually excel, Nate with "the business" side and Kara with the editing. Yet you don't hold it over the other in a negative way. I personally believe that would destroy the on air commarderie that you have for the joint task of producing your vlog!
I did notice in the Colorado Trail series, Kara looked kinda concerned about doing stuff that: paraphrased: "Nate usually does this part, but he's on the bike, so here it goes."
Good job of taking the initiative to learn something new, and props for Nate just accepting that Kara took the initiative to handle something that he is usually "responsible" for.
You guys make great videos. None of your advertisements seem forced and I do spend a lot of time laughing.
That’s awesome to hear 😁
its amazing that they make their money with their online life.

🥰❤️
Hey I watch her vlog also !!! ❤️
@@leanneadams2549 Thank you so much!! :)
Maybe coffee during the "final watch and edit round" is the problem. Have you thought about some Jack Daniels, you are from Tennessee after all!
Hahaha depending on the time of day.....wine is a great replacement!
Hmm I dunno, I feel like personally whiskey makes me aggressive lol
Absolutely love the way Nate carries himself
kara seems like a genuinely good person i love her sm
I laughed so hard when Kara was like "just walk away.." to the pan while its cooking haha
She’s channeling Alton Brown, although I’m not sure if she knows it.
mine would be burned to the botttom of the pan!
Everytime you post a video it puts me in the best mood. I always look out for a new one. You guys are amazing. ❤
I do love Kara's raw, real footage but Nate's amazing drone shots are beautiful! It really is the perfect balance and makes for great content. I can't wait for the Oregon vlogs. My home state! ❤❤
Love the video. It gives a real feel of what you do and that not everything is "exactly" perfect, but in the end it is perfect!!!!!
It’s so cute how he makes her coffee EVERY morning 💖🥺
Hello from Perth, Western Australia. Yet again a beautiful vlog...inspirational no matter what and where both of you are. I really appreciate the frank honest sharing as no couple is perfect but, as it was mentioned, compromising, talking and sharing together certainly helps deepens the relationship no matter where one is. Just beautiful!
I am having a rough time lately and your videos honestly make me happy. 💕
@kevin weaver thank you ☺️
Get a heat resistant hose that you can slip/clamp onto the exhaust pipe to get the exhaust fumes away from the van when camped and having to run the engine to charge batteries.
Kara: ‘Are you bleeding? Say something.’
Nate: ‘hhhhhhhmmmmmmm’
you guys are so inspirational. I'm so glad I found your channel at the start of quarantine! I've been watching your videos non-stop and they're amazing! you two always make me smile after I watch any video. 💗☺️
Lovely to hear 💗
@@KaraandNate omg thank you so so much for replying!! 💗🥺
I've done the same thing! I live vicariously through their videos since we can't travel internationally right now
You know you’ve made it when TARGET sponsors you!!
It's funny that they got sponsored by Target since Kara always talks about shopping at Walmart. 🤔😬
@@SheIsTristine oop ur right
The way Nate wakes Kara up is so adorable I can’t! 🥺❤️ #CoupleGoals
Why is this vlog so satisfying and peaceful love it so much
We call this as “chole” in India. Oh it’s my favourite dish❤️
What’s the recipe in written form?
You’ve inspired me to save up and live the van life 🥺 I plan to go minimalist and purchase my van home at some point in the next 2 years. I’ve also been traveling way more (and safely at the moment) after watching y’all for years. I’m even in Colorado right now as we speak. I’ve watched every single one of your videos. Love you guys so much! 💕
Awesome! Happy travels! 👏🏻
You should start a RUclips channel to document your transition into van life!
@@TheAwkwardTourists that would be a great idea! I’m thinking about it too and I would to love to see that journey
@@TheAwkwardTourists Hmm...heck yes! I think I definitely will!
@@Dana-ki6vs can't wait to follow along!
Getting ready to go to on a long trip with my thee adult sons and husband to Alabama and Florida beaches and Disney etc. Anyway now I need to go to Target to try there new Brand. Thanks this will help out for Breakfast and quick lunches. 🤠🙋🤗
Nate I appreciate your steady hand, as so many other Content Creators don't care and their content makes you dizzy to watch! Great work you two, I'm completely hooked watching your videos lol! 😊
Useful and entertaining so thank you. (Chefs tip: when scraping food off the chopping board use the blunt side of the knife otherwise you dull the cutting edge and the knife will lose its sharpness)
I love getting to see that you guys don’t always agree on everything, it makes you guys seem even more real if that was possible 💛
That part where Kara says "I know he's right" makes all the difference. Even if he's not right it's so amazing for people these days to admit they can be wrong.
Dear Kara and Nate,
I‘m so happy that I found you two on RUclips❤️😍The first video of your channel I have ever watched was the video when you were flying from Kuala Lumpur to New York because of the Shorty Awards❤️😍When you two received an Award, I thought that you two deserved that because you are keeping up the good work in every video❤️😍You two also inspired me to travel all around the world after I finished school in 2023😍😊Thank you two for being so adventurous, inspiring and sweet humans❤️Keep up the good work☺️😍👍🏼💪🏼YOU WILL REACH 2 MILLION SUBS SOON❤️😍
Thanks for the positivity! Especially during this time!
💜💜💜
The most relatable part of the whole video 20:53. Man and woman sitting next to eachother...
Man: "I'm Hot"
Woman: "I'm cold"
Yes! This is so us too!
I just wanted to Thankyou for giving thousands of us happiness with your wonderful videos ❣️🥰.
You two look so happy. That is best thing in Van life! Good luck
Two tips! If you fold your yoga mat in half before rolling the upside won’t get dirty from touching the ground side. 2) using the back of you knife to push things into the pan will keep your blade sharper. ❤️
Whether you’re in another country or in another state, your vlogs are always the best 🙌🏼
Awwww 🥰
Kara/Nate: Have you two ever considered getting an atmospheric water generator? They're a little pricey (around $1500), but you'll always have access to water. They're about the size of a water bottle dispenser for homes/offices (assuming you have space in your vehicle).
I look forward to the bit at the start where they say what they’ve been up to. It really helps to get up to speed if you’ve missed a video or 2
I use to make curry similar to this and then I discovered....adding cauliflower. With adding cauliflower to get all the deliciousness of chickpea curry with the bulk of cauliflower. Seriously though...it really adds alot. :) I love your channel.
Is none gonna talk about the way nate gets up so early when kara sleeps just to make her coffee to make her happy. We all need someone like nate :)
