I am so jealous of the two of you. Here I sit at almost age of 50 barely any money and no job and I'm bored and lonely . I really want a van to live in but have no funds right now. I wish I did I'm tired of sitting at home.

This is true. I'm a bit more 'mature' in age and in my experience in life than she is, but I feel like I'm super positive and loving and yet, she is LEVELS above me in this respect. This middle-aged gal feels like she is learning more and more of this example that is set from this young buck with every video. Thanks Kara!
My heart races every-time you guys upload a video because I was afraid that after the last few episodes of explosions and near-death experiences... I'm SOO glad y'all stayed optimistic and are now enjoying the Van Life!
When my parents retired, they moved from the Denver area to the area between Palisade and Clifton. The first vineyard were you stayed is three miles directly east of there. Palisade has always been known for some of the best peaches in the world, but about 30-35 years ago, they found that the area produced excellent grapes for wine. My parents started one of the first wineries in the area (Twin Pines Estates) and produced until they died. Your video brought back a lot of great memories of the Palisade area!
Followed you years ago but catching up on missed vlogs. My husband and I are Air Force retirees and called many places home. Got a job here in Western Colorado and now live in this hidden gem called Palisade. So glad you were able to enjoy what many Coloradans have yet to experience.
Ever since I have started watching you, I have been inspired to travel the world. Also when you announced that you’ll be starting van life I literally lost it because I’ve always wanted to travel the world in a van. Stay safe and keep up the great content!
When dumping your gray water, a good sized funnel (like for your car’s oil) into your container might make it easier. For that matter a funnel into a hose. And, maybe one of your subscribers could think of a clever way to hold the hose with the funnel upright under your gray water tank’s opening. Glad you two are having fun this summer. Thanks for letting us live vicariously through you.
Idk how I haven’t seen this video before I’ve literally watched everything in the past 4+ years! I was looking back for any unwatched videos and found it. As a avid down hill mountain biker for over 15 years I’m mighty impressed with your skills Kara (and Nate)
Think beer bong. Funnel, a few feet of tube, and some holes in the funnel for some sort of hooks on the funnel to mount it near your drain. Viola - your own sewer line.

You guys missed out on Glenwood Springs! Amazing little town at the west end of Glenwood Canyon. They have a great food scene and they have an amusement park on top of a mountain!
Welcome, again to Colorful Colorado. We are honored to have you in our beautiful state. Showers can be such an issue. It sounds like the water capacity and dumping isn't great. Palisade is definitely the place for wine and fruit in Colorado. If you get a chance, The Black Canyon of the Gunnison is SO nice. Thank you all for sharing.

That’s a also a small percentage of the the overall hikers. If you stay on the trail there is low risk of death. Death would be risked with low water and heart issues.
Y’all have blown me away with van life, during this crazy time y’all have been doing so much amazing stuff all while supporting small business and it’s just awesome!!!!
Great video. My old stomping grounds, sort of. Lived in Colorado just an hour east of Palisades for about 10 years. First saw CNM in 1990 on vacation from CA with my kids. The beauty of that area is what prompted us to lease our home in CA and move to Colorado! I’m loving your van life series so far. Y’all know how to turn negative stuff into positive & adventuresome and keep on smiling. The best! ❤️💕❤️
3 year watching you guys today! Never ever stop making videos, every week I'm sitting there waiting and waiting and opening to see if you guys posted. Even though I know you guys won't post daily. I wish you guys could post more up to date from when you guys filmed it atlas or even the night after. It's pretty difficult to have this video filmed a week or two before it's posted.
Fill up at truck stops and you get free showers. Truck stop showers are VERY clean, super nice. Once you try one you'll be hooked. The best thing is both can use it. As a retired trucker one of the best things of life on the road was that super hot shower at the end of the day.
You have made my day here in Stage 4 lockdown Melbourne, Australia! I lived in Palisade for 12 months in 2013 when I did a teacher exchange. That area is the home of my heart and such a beautiful area. Seeing you experience it for the first time brought back all my wonderful memories of the hikes, drives and fun I had there that year and in my visits since. It is winter and we are locked down tightly here in Melbourne - thank you for reminding me of this wonderful place and making me feel warm with memories 🥰🥰🥰 Enjoy the wonder of Colorado!!
Just want to say that 3 Aussies....my husband myself and our friend who lived in the USA, also went through the Colorado Monument NP as well on our Harleys in 2014, part of our road trip through 10 USA states while also attending the Sturgis bike rally... middle America has some fantastic sights... look forward to seeing your adventures continuing xxx
you definitely need to go to bryce canyon, utah it’s like the drive you went on but 100x more beautiful. if you were to go to bryce canyon, also go to zion, utah and do the narrows hike!
We travel from NC every summer to volunteer at Ridgway State Park, 20 miles south of Montrose. Never get tired of traveling through Glenwood Pass and the stunning views of Palisade. The owners of River Bend RV park are great folks. Safe travels.
I live in vail I was so excited to see my home town and that you guys loved it. It was defiantly the best time to go mountain biking. We also get out hand sanitizer from that same distillery on gypsum CO Kara that canyon you drove through is called the Glenwood canyon When I was in fifth grade we stayed overnight in the monument for a field trip
It's crazy how much more to Van life there is. Granted, I knew very little, but somehow I didn't expect there to be so many things that needed to be maintained. However, I'm SO glad you got the Harvest Host membership. I think Vineyards are some of the most beautiful places to be (here's looking at you, Bob & Gina), so I can't wait to see all the ones you stop at! Especially if you get to California! 🍷🍷
I've seen your posts on Facebook, and now I want to binge watch again your videos but I forgot your Facebook Page name. 😭 Now I searched the phrase on RUclips "Why we can't stay on the Philippines" because that's what I remember on watching one of your posts. And successfully I FOUND YOU! I love you both! Stay safe! And continue the love! 💜
Couple things about van life from watching others. 1st use biodegradable soaps and grey water can just drain onto the ground. 2nd progressive water heater.
Hello Kara and Nate I am a kid wtching you from Greece and you have set a goal too e. To visit 100 countries I am still 10 so I have been only to N. Ireland Irealnd and Germany. I feel I have been to 100 countries from your videos and everything else you have done. I also like you are always ready for something new. Love your videos Kimon
I love that pizza was the reward for going out of your comfort zone 😂👏 That scenic road in the Colorado national park reminded me of the national parks and scenic roads I visited in the Utah-Arizona border and nearby. If you go there I think you'll really enjoy it.
Hi Kara and Nate - great to see you settling into van life - wow that mountain biking - high 5 to Kara ! Thanks for sharing the adventure - stay safe and sending virtual hugs - Chris & Marianne xx
WE. NEEDED. A. POST. LIKE. THIS. . . Fantastic story line, excellent editing/footage, this was so freshing to view after our "we almost died posts" - more of this please 👌🤣🤣
Went through that valley nearly 20 years ago, enjoyed a good wine, and wonderfully dark skies just across the line in Utah. Stars are amazing. Day scenery is amazing. Creation is amazing.
Believe it or not, we are not only staying at the exact same welcome center in Vail tonight, but ee are staying in the exact same parking spot. We asked if we could stay in the van overnight. The lady said "Technically no. But if anyone knocks on your door, just don't answer!" 😁
You know what I like about your new life? the places you're taking us, are attainable! I loved your traveling to other countries videos but they were a dream, these new places are our homes, our country and our land and any of us can visit them :) I really love that, Thanks :)
I really can't thank you cute couple enough! I'm traveling the world just by sitting on my cozy couch and watching your vlogges behind the screens! How AMAZING is that.
I love this video….well I love all your videos, but this one is special! I was born and raised in Grand Jct/Palisade, CO! The view from the van & the drone view of Mt. Garfield brought tears. So beautiful! You captured it so perfectly! I’m so glad you took the time to go over the Colorado National Monument! It is like you were just dumped in the Grand Canyon. So many wonderful memories of picnics, hiking, and riding my bike across from entrance to entrance! Sunrises & sunsets are beautiful & awesome to see as well! Love you guys!
Just returned from Colorado and the Ouray, Ridgway, Gunison National Park area. Just amazing in all aspects of beauty, nature, and scenic views. Go to Orvis Hot springs, you won't be disappointed; well expect there are no cameras allowed, so you wouldn't get to capture the Eden that they have made around their pools. Colorado is amazing.

Woke up at 2 am to see a patient, got done with work, my patient is fine....and now I'm supposed to b studying but first a 20 min break thanks to u guys......Love from Ethiopia!
Considering 58 people, 2 a year have died climbing Longs peak... glad you're okay. Safety first is a good moto to live by. Thanks for the videos.
Yeah someone died yesterday climbing it. They fell 800+ feet.
@@audreymalerich4290 They were doing a different route though
That’s a also a small percentage of the the overall hikers. If you stay on the trail there is low risk of death. Death would be risked with low water and heart issues.
Y’all have blown me away with van life, during this crazy time y’all have been doing so much amazing stuff all while supporting small business and it’s just awesome!!!!
the amount of effort they put into their videos are inspiring.like so inspiring I want to travel the world and experience what they do
Great video. The best! ❤️💕❤️
I love that you are going to be traveling the country. I don’t know if it’s on your list of places to go but West Virginia is amazing and beautiful.
West Virginia is so incredible!
yup
I think I need to add West Virginia to our list!!
The Traveling Swiss you for sure do this place is amazing and beautiful and the amazing state and national parks and then the history
Eh, West Virginia doesn't have much that you can't find elsewhere. Morgantown is nice though, and Harper's Ferry is on my roadtrip bucket list too.
Grand Junction, is my hometown so watching this really brought a tear to my eye watching others appreciate and love my home as much as I do.
I love Colorado sooo much it is so pretty!!! We come out here every year and I love it
3 year watching you guys today!
Everyone else: aww man it’s Sunday me: waking up up with the best mood and staring at my recomended wait for Kara and nate
Fill up at truck stops and you get free showers. Truck stop showers are VERY clean, super nice. Once you try one you'll be hooked. The best thing is both can use it. As a retired trucker one of the best things of life on the road was that super hot shower at the end of the day.
It’s so great to see you in Vail! That’s exactly where I went after the Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s also where my sister lives.
Palisade is my home and I’m so glad you guys enjoyed it😍
Same
Just want to say that 3 Aussies....my husband myself and our friend who lived in the USA, also went through the Colorado Monument NP as well on our Harleys in 2014, part of our road trip through 10 USA states while also attending the Sturgis bike rally... middle America has some fantastic sights... look forward to seeing your adventures continuing xxx
you definitely need to go to bryce canyon, utah it’s like the drive you went on but 100x more beautiful. if you were to go to bryce canyon, also go to zion, utah and do the narrows hike!
We travel from NC every summer to volunteer at Ridgway State Park, 20 miles south of Montrose. Never get tired of traveling through Glenwood Pass and the stunning views of Palisade. The owners of River Bend RV park are great folks. Safe travels.
You guys need to go the Glacier National Park and go down the Sun Road before it closes!
The East half of the park is closed and will not open this year.
I live in vail I was so excited to see my home town and that you guys loved it.
It was defiantly the best time to go mountain biking. We also get out hand sanitizer from that same distillery on gypsum CO
Kara that canyon you drove through is called the Glenwood canyon
When I was in fifth grade we stayed overnight in the monument for a field trip
You are one of the most amazing and beautiful couple . Stay safe, Stay strong and stay inspired. Thank you for sharing!
Covid 19 stopped everyone but it failed to stop you from chasing your passion...loved the positive spirit..you both made it...nice watching you
It's crazy how much more to Van life there is. 🍷🍷
It is beautiful I can’t wait to see where it ended you both does a beautiful job
You guys definitely look more relaxed with van life travel and taking your time with each location. Love road trips!
Harvest host is the best excuse to drink wine too! ☺️💛
That highway along the river was beautiful. The little town of Frisco is another nice place to visit along this.
Yay, another vlog I love seeing where y’all are gonna go next. And, you never fail to amaze me on how beautiful our country of US really is.. 💕
I've seen your posts on Facebook, and now I want to binge watch again your videos but I forgot your Facebook Page name. 😭
Now I searched the phrase on RUclips "Why we can't stay on the Philippines" because that's what I remember on watching one of your posts.
And successfully I FOUND YOU!
I love you both! Stay safe! And continue the love! 💜
Couple things about van life from watching others. 1st use biodegradable soaps and grey water can just drain onto the ground. 2nd progressive water heater.

Kimon
I love that pizza was the reward for going out of your comfort zone 😂👏
That scenic road in the Colorado national park reminded me of the national parks and scenic roads I visited in the Utah-Arizona border and nearby. If you go there I think you'll really enjoy it.

Went through that valley nearly 20 years ago, enjoyed a good wine, and wonderfully dark skies just across the line in Utah. Stars are amazing. Day scenery is amazing. Creation is amazing.
The kiss with the mask on made me laugh out loud 😂 so adorable
Lol awkward times 😷
@@KaraandNate I love y'all so much!!
I love how much you love each other. That's my favorite thing about you two. ❤️
Kara "I'm driving" had us both laughing
Mountain biking VAIL looked awesome
I am glad you now travel at your own pace rather than hustle of airports.

I live in Colorado and have been to all of the places in this video. So cool to see you enjoy my state!
Me Everytime a Kara and Nate video comes up:
Like first before watching it
Just returned from Colorado and the Ouray, Ridgway, Gunison National Park area. Just amazing in all aspects of beauty, nature, and scenic views. Go to Orvis Hot springs, you won't be disappointed; well expect there are no cameras allowed, so you wouldn't get to capture the Eden that they have made around their pools. Colorado is amazing.
