I'm a little late, but this is such a great lecture! Made me genuinely smile and laugh on multiple occasions. I felt very bittersweet by the end of the video, though. Not just cause of the stuff that happened with Chris, but also because this is probably the last PCP lecture we're ever going to see, which is a real shame. Thank you, Ben (and the others), for bringing me (and plenty of other fans, i'm sure) so much joy for so many years.

Had Chris Chan’s parents got proper counseling for their child and the Internet didn’t harass Chris Chan for years causing further mental deterioration, the crimes revealed on July 30th could have been averted. One thing Ben Saint brought up that I think is interesting is that "Not all Fictional characters exist in C197." Which Christine stated before that characters in Zombie stories and apocalyptic scenarios aren't allowed and won't exist in the dimensional merge. Which I love the idea of if Christine was right all characters lived in one universe and there was constant peace. It made me want to write a story about suddenly the characters from Mad Max appear and they fuck shit up, unable to adapt to the new environment.
Being trans myself, there’s not much about Chris’ life that looks like any trans experience I’ve ever heard of. Most of the apparent signs are things trolls convinced Chris to do, and she came out as trans right after someone suggested that if straight women weren’t interested, maybe she could go for lesbians. Chris’ stated reason for realizing she was trans is a dream about her past lives. Chris is the one and only person in the world whose gender identity I don’t really believe.

I'm a little late, but this is such a great lecture! Made me genuinely smile and laugh on multiple occasions. I felt very bittersweet by the end of the video, though. Not just cause of the stuff that happened with Chris, but also because this is probably the last PCP lecture we're ever going to see, which is a real shame. Thank you, Ben (and the others), for bringing me (and plenty of other fans, i'm sure) so much joy for so many years.

Now that I’ve seen the full video, I wanna impart just how morbidly impressive it is that Sonichu spirals into pure madness and just gets crazier and crazier. There were parts of this where I was straight up like “how can this get more random?!”
Also, I actually feel bad for Neptunia as a series getting dragged into this. It already has its problems, and this is coming from someone who really does love it as a franchise. Now that I've seen this video a couple of times, I want to note that It's super troubling that the lecture starts with what sounds like some improvement. Like Chris went back on executing the cwc members, retconning them to be on a farm, and also Chris herself stepped down from mayoral office to become a mother. Like, this is the calm before the storm.
And the real question is; when did the storm truly begin? Cause it was always brewing but I dunno when it was truely upon us. Perhaps it was theIdeaGuys who truly set the spiral in motion, perhaps it was Chris's willingness to pen himself up to stranger and stranger sexual ideas, maybe even just starting to write Sonichu again was his first mistake. But either way, I guess we never really deserved a hopeful conclusion, huh?
