I'm surprised that people still sarcastically joke about this series. It was satire from the offset, and seeing that it still fools people is a testament to how well it was done. If you don't believe me, I'd like to mention that the guy who made this was 18 years old when he started drawing tails gets trolled.

Once you get deep enough into TGT and find out how genuinely funny and clever some of the jokes and dialogue is ("Did you know that even though seatbelts exist..." etc.), you start to realize that Lazerbot is a man who is fully capable of making something good, but chooses to make something that looks like a godawful Sonic fancomic instead. And that just makes me love the whole thing even more.
What really stands out about TGT's writing is how effectively Lazerbot buries the setups. He'll obfuscate the setup for a joke with the insane plot so well that the punchlines come out of fucking nowhere and blindside you so it's impossible not to laugh, and then actual plot points are set up with what look like throwaway jokes so much earlier that you forget them when the twists happen and you have to keep going. So the story has this poetic ebb and flow between the humor and the escalation from absurd premise that I can't help but get invested.
The reaction to the Cheeto Man reveal and all the keikaku melodrama bullshit surrounding it is one of the best moments in any of these lectures so far,up there with the Keyblade Motorcycle and the Xbox One from Tupac.
I don't know whether Lazerbot is genius or not, but he clearly has some writing talent. It is also apparent that he has never read any books and his entire cultural frame of reference is limited to games, movies and animes. It is quite fascinating actually. They usually ask Bugs / Daffy to do it, but they always get drunk and "act weird" (this connects to them secretly being gay lovers), so they instead ask Porky. Now, Porky initially doesn't want to do it because he is a goody-two-shoes and doesn't want to enable their drinking. It is implied this is because he is christian. Tom has been stablished as hating Sylvester for seemingly no reason, so by this point we know he is confrontational. WHEN THEY GET IN THE CAR, Porky tells them to fasten their seatbelts, now, these guys are supposed to be the bad guys of their cartoons, so they don't want to do it, but the only one to say anything is TOM, who makes the 'seatbelt deaths comment', which in the context of the scene acts as him refuting any possible argument to fasten their seatbelts while also being really unsettling. In he next scene they are quitly disturbed (also maybe cringing at Tom for being unnecessarily mean to Porky?? idk) and wearing their seatbelts. And that is why that scene happens.
The fact that Lazerbot spent years of his life on telling us this amazing, beautifully written, and gorgeously drawn story. It does bring a smile to my face.

Tails Gets Trolled is unironically wonderful. It's amateurish art and writing, but it's so damn genuine and manages to be entertaining in spite of it. And honestly, what Lazerbot lacks in drawing skill he makes up for in composition and choreography. The fights scenes and narrative beats in TGT are so well paced and so readable and enjoyable that it's kind of shocking. He really understands what makes a Shounen manga work, even if he lacks the raw ability to realize anything more than mspaint drawings. And even then he improves, adding more detail in appropriate places and shadow and highlights in the later chapters. And that's not even mentioning the characterization and writing.
Sega, Nintendo, WB etc would DESTROY it at the first hint of monetisation. Unless you get a dodgy company in the land that copyright forgot, China, to print them and sell them through Alibaba or something.
Fun fact Tails being a chosen one was actually in official media. In the Archie comics Tails was responsible for keeping a villain called Mammoth Moguel at bay who nearly destroyed the universe and multiple other dimensions by turning into Titan Tails who was a super buff and tall version of him. He also was responsible for “The Great Harmony” which basically combined all the Chaos Emeralds from multiple other words (at the time there wasn’t 7 chaos emeralds, there were a whole bunch of different coloured ones on different planets, green being the one for mobius) and combined all of them into 7 which then they were transferred into the special zone. Wild shit. And that’s not even all of it. Hell u should’ve done a presentation on these comics.

I realize that Lazerbot is like the exact opposite of Chris Chan in pretty much every way. He’s not all that very known where as Chris Chan’s life is the most documented human in history. Chris Chan created a dog shit comic with reeeaally shitty where he was the main character and everyone loved him with morfed characters combining Sonic and Pokémon (mostly just pikachu actually) characters, in turn leading to trolls berating him and creating the most vicious and insane parasitic trolling cycle until uhh… now… where as Lazerbot created an entire world with complex characters and factions that at first was made fun of by trolls, but was so good to the point that trolls actually started becoming in love with the work. The art even at first seeming like it’s lacking until you realize that it has some of the best expressions that can’t really be replicated by many. Chis Chan: was raised by wolves, the very wolves who are consuming him. Lazerbot: beat the shit out of the wolves, gave them a blunt, now rides them with a shovel.
For anyone who's not entirely convinced yet that TGT is worth reading, the conclusion to the fight between Coyote and Demaro is - no word of a lie or exaggeration - one of the greatest and most engaging comic stories I have ever read. It is unironically incredible.
I had the opportunity to speak to Lazerbot a while ago. I didn't have an agenda really, just wanted to reach out to tell him I enjoyed his comic. He was very affable and pleasant to speak to so I'm happy to report that he's a cool guy :)
Looked up this comic upon learning about Cheeto Man, and the part where all the girls are dead is much more graphic than what we're told here. Knuckles had to show Tails what CM really was, since he's been trained by him for a while and trusted him. He forced Tails to follow him with this grim looking face, as he brings Tails to an open sewer pipe with the girls rotting corpses, dozens of rotten bodies and skeletons, maggots and all. This horrific sight sticks with Tails, including a nightmare where a Zombie Amy forces herself upon him. Yeah, this shit got real!
The way Amy actually talks and looks while talking about her past is shockingly accurate and didnt expect that one of my least favorite sonic characters would be so relatable

Sonichu is also way more fascinating because of the amount of lore that it is set in and behind the scenes. Rule of thumb: nothing beats weapons grade austism.
This was actually great! Only one fix: the flashback at the end is actually Tails Gets Trolled Polished! It's basically a retelling of the story. There was a deep tonal shift in the comic that TGTP wish to implement from the start.
After watching the Chris-Chan lecture 10 times you can imagine how hard I creamed myself when I saw another lecture upload. This is my favorite thing on youtube.

It's amazing that Sonic's death was just forgotten, but it's interesting because when I re-read the comic I realized I had also somehow missed it the first time all those years ago. I think chapter 4 wasn't easy to find on DA, or was deleted or something, because that chapter is unforgettable and yet this guy didn't write anything that happened down.
Jared Lorenzen played for Kentucky in the 90s, the NFL, and several indoor leagues. My guess is that the creator of this comic is from Kentucky since Lorenzen is still a big deal there.
Unconfirmed but incredibly likely: there's somebody on Twitter running a webcomic called Mr. Boop, and it's more than likely Lazerbot under a different name. It has characters such as Sonic and Bugs Bunny, and they're drawn VERY similar to how they are in TGT.

Tails Gets Trolled is the strange masterpiece Chris wishes Sonichu could be. The difference? Tails Gets Trolled isn’t afraid to admit it makes mistakes, and is genuinely funny (both intentionally and unintentionally) when everything comes together.
It definitely seems that the more unemotional a neutral is the stronger they are, Porky lost it almost immediately, Tom is kinda weak, Sylvester is stronger and doesn't really care about much, and Coyote is always kinda smug and therefore literally overpowered.

So this guy took tales getting trolled and made us all care about it? Damn this guy is the best writer ever then. Seriously take the idea of Tales getting trolled and hand it to any professional writer. Not one will come up with anything near this clever. Its amazing.
I realize that Lazerbot is like the exact opposite of Chris Chan in pretty much every way. He’s not all that very known where as Chris Chan’s life is the most documented human in history. Chris Chan created a dog shit comic with reeeaally shitty where he was the main character and everyone loved him with morfed characters combining Sonic and Pokémon (mostly just pikachu actually) characters, in turn leading to trolls berating him and creating the most vicious and insane parasitic trolling cycle until uhh… now… where as Lazerbot created an entire world with complex characters and factions that at first was made fun of by trolls, but was so good to the point that trolls actually started becoming in love with the work. The art even at first seeming like it’s lacking until you realize that it has some of the best expressions that can’t really be replicated by many.
Chis Chan: was raised by wolves, the very wolves who are consuming him.
Lazerbot: beat the shit out of the wolves, gave them a blunt, now rides them with a shovel.
For anyone who's not entirely convinced yet that TGT is worth reading, the conclusion to the fight between Coyote and Demaro is - no word of a lie or exaggeration - one of the greatest and most engaging comic stories I have ever read. It is unironically incredible.
I keep coming back to this because I love the way you say “basically suicide by murder” toward the end.
Jared lorenzen was a real football player he was the heaviest quarterback in the nfl and was called “the hefty lefty”

I had the opportunity to speak to Lazerbot a while ago. I didn't have an agenda really, just wanted to reach out to tell him I enjoyed his comic. He was very affable and pleasant to speak to so I'm happy to report that he's a cool guy :)
Looked up this comic upon learning about Cheeto Man, and the part where all the girls are dead is much more graphic than what we're told here. Knuckles had to show Tails what CM really was, since he's been trained by him for a while and trusted him. He forced Tails to follow him with this grim looking face, as he brings Tails to an open sewer pipe with the girls rotting corpses, dozens of rotten bodies and skeletons, maggots and all. This horrific sight sticks with Tails, including a nightmare where a Zombie Amy forces herself upon him.

The way Amy actually talks and looks while talking about her past is shockingly accurate and didnt expect that one of my least favorite sonic characters would be so relatable

1. The Sonichu lecture has been out two years longer
2. Sonichu itself has been around for way longer than TGT, so more people have heard of it
3. Normies have heard of Sonichu and Chris-Chan, and has been covered way more on RUclips
Sonichu is also way more fascinating because of the amount of lore that it is set in and behind the scenes. Rule of thumb: nothing beats weapons grade austism.

Only one fix: the flashback at the end is actually Tails Gets Trolled Polished! It's basically a retelling of the story. There was a deep tonal shift in the comic that TGTP wish to implement from the start.

It's amazing that Sonic's death was just forgotten, but it's interesting because when I re-read the comic I realized I had also somehow missed it the first time all those years ago. I think chapter 4 wasn't easy to find on DA, or was deleted or something, because that chapter is unforgettable and yet this guy didn't write anything that happened down.

Jared Lorenzen played for Kentucky in the 90s, the NFL, and several indoor leagues. My guess is that the creator of this comic is from Kentucky since Lorenzen is still a big deal there.

Unconfirmed but incredibly likely: there's somebody on Twitter running a webcomic called Mr. Boop, and it's more than likely Lazerbot under a different name. It has characters such as Sonic and Bugs Bunny, and they're drawn VERY similar to how they are in TGT.

The difference? Tails Gets Trolled isn’t afraid to admit it makes mistakes, and is genuinely funny (both intentionally and unintentionally) when everything comes together.
Tails Gets Trolled renewed all of my ambitions, motivations and inspiration.

It definitely seems that the more unemotional a neutral is the stronger they are, Porky lost it almost immediately, Tom is kinda weak, Sylvester is stronger and doesn't really care about much, and Coyote is always kinda smug and therefore literally overpowered.
