    What is the best or your favorite cruise casino loyalty program?

      So far, carnival has been giving us the best offers, but I spent WAY more time in the casino on Carnival than Royal. Currently, we are getting Elite with DOUE for two, Balcony, and $300 freeplay. Also getting regular bookings with a suite and similar offerings. FYI each promo code I can use 3 times.
      Royal's is more spelled out. It's funny how Royal's pricing for their "add ons" you can't find out until you are booked and flex based on different variables, where Carnival is more spelled out. But the Casino is flipped around where Carnival is more of a guess and Royal is more spelled out.
      I am here to be someone's cruising mule! If you are willing to share a stateroom and pay for my airfare, I have free cruises with free drinks on Carnival!

    I’m so glad I quit gambling before I started cruising! I’m one of those that gets addicted to things easily. I loved to go to the casinos even though I rarely came out ahead. I would get free rooms and meals etc, but the toll it took on me was not worth it. I’m glad I spend my cruise out on the pool deck or my balcony rather than losing money in a Smokey casino. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes and I’m not judging anyone, but myself here. Congratulations on your new status. Btw, my blood is probably 75% Coke Zero 😂

    The wife and I just got to Prime level on RC our last cruise. It is $5 per 1 point. In total we spent about $4,000 total out of pocket with the give and take cycling through the machines with winnings. Not bad considering we both get free drinks and have booked 5 free cruises between now and March. April 1st is when the points drop to "0" again. We are covered until April 2026. One word of caution. The wife decided to get us to 3,000 points because you get a selection of better sailings from Casino Royale, but we found out the hard way. The 3,000 points have to be earned on the same cruise, not earned on your next sailing, so that was a waste of money on that.

      You/your wife and I have the same annual gamboling budget. I did 17 cruises last year and spent about $1500 in port taxes and fees. I could have never been able to complete 17 cruises for $5500. This year, I tried something different… I cautiously went through $2000 on the first cruise after April 1. Made it to 3000 points on the cruise, booked the Next Cruise future cruise with $200 to get the onboard credit and the free slot play. But then, I noticed that my offers were mostly at the balcony level/ocean view whereas previously they were interior/ocean view. So instant upgrade. I’ll spread the rest of the money over the year. A couple I met onboard, both were Prime. They would each book a connecting cabin (on the same ship) and take their kids/grandchildren. There were kids under 12 sail free sales (paying just port taxes and fees) and each grandparent had one of the parents listed in their cabin. So six people were on a 7-night cruise for $120 each plus the automatic gratuities. My only caution is that Club Royale has started offering complimentary cruises where the second passenger pays half of the current fare. That may be the wave of the future.

    We haven't "paid" a cruise fare or for a drink package on Carnival in 2 years! We consistently get "free" cruises in a balcony or suite with free drinks all over the ship for 2 and anywhere from $500-$1500 freeplay per cruise. One cruise on Royal, lost $2k in the blink of an eye....we've gotten a free oceanview offer, but no free drinks and no freeplay. Carnival has our loyalty as long as the casino offers keep coming!

    Tony I'm on the cruise with you. Big point you left out is not only do you get your bounce back cruise you also get your annual prime tier cruise now. So you get your Coke zero's plus a minimum of two free cruises. Now you use a company like Casino Players Club which will match your Royal offer to all the other cruise lines. We've sailed on just about every cruise line this year for free. We haven't paid for a cruise in years. I never play more than the cruise would have cost me. I've got detailed knowledge of just about every player's club if you'd like to chat sometime...

    • @Lord.Kiltridge
      @Lord.Kiltridge Месяц назад +16

      @@Beautythatcounts It's not 'free.' You lose roughly $2000 in the casino and _maybe_ earn a $1500 cruise. You are just paying Peter instead of Paul. Of course, you might win at the tables or maybe just lose less, but it's still not free.

    • @JDCPCCOMPS
      @JDCPCCOMPS Месяц назад +7

      @@Lord.KiltridgeThat's not correct you don't have to lose anything. It's not about Wins or losses it's about how much money you cycle through the machines... I got 4,000 points in 3 days and won about $1,000 on the trip with Tony the first 3 day leg... I never gamble more than the cruise would have cost me. Even using your math if you get prime in one cruise you're getting at least 2 comped cruises plus more mailers with free cruises.... That's way cheaper than booking them out right 😂.

    • @JDCPCCOMPS
      @JDCPCCOMPS Месяц назад +3

      @@BeautythatcountsComped Cruise is a better term... Some people get triggered when you say free as some cruise lines do charge taxes and port fees. It's about cycling enough money through the machines to meet the point requirements for the casino you're playing at. Every cruise line has a different requirement. Wins and losses really mean nothing.

    Tony my husband I loved meeting you on the inaugural of Utopia! One of the points you're leaving out not only do you get free Coke zero but for the amount of points you earned you have already earned two free cruises! You only need 1200 points for your first cruise and at the end of the casino year you will be getting another cruise! so I tell you that what you spent is way less than what all of this cost! Four weeks ago I started this program and went prime on Allure of the seas on a four day cruise earned two free cruises. Hubby on the inaugural of Utopia went prime and earned two free cruises already Royal Caribbean has reached out to me and offered me another free cruise! we spent on average about what you did and so far we have five free cruises and no more drink package for either of us! Also I've had celebrity cruises reach out for me to do a cruise with them as well! You are right you have to be responsible with your money! You only gamble what you can lose but it is a great program and I hope that Hubby and I get to see you on more cruises in the casino! 🎰 also I won a $1600 hand pay on Utopia!

    That is one good reason I am glad I drink water. There was a time I was working making great money. I lived near Atlantic City and then also in Las Vegas. I used to justify all my gambling with the "perks" they would give me like free dinners, limos, shows, the Diamond club where there were free drinks and food, flights and so much more. Looking back at all the money and time I spent there and it really was not worth it. Yeah it was fun and I was still able to retire at 52 but if I didn't I could have shaved a few years off of that retirement age. Luckily I wasn't addicted but I saw people there that were and some that lost everything. They don't build those billion dollar casinos on winners. Sure would be cheaper just to spend a few bucks on the cruise and buy that Coke zero outright IMO.

    It’s a good casino program for sure. Carnival just changed their point accumulation process a few weeks ago. It used to be 1,000 casino points for drinks on us on 5 or less day cruises, and 1,500 for longer. Now it’s 2,000 points regardless of length, and of course it resets each cruise (even back to back). $2.50 for 1 point on slots, and a secret algorithm for table games.
    Also not a fan of lower jackpot slots (progressives are maxed at lower denominations for bet options) and of course a $10 min, 6:5 BJ table 🙄.

I like their gambling program a little bit better and we are getting 15 free cruises a year from celebrity like their food a little bit better. Once you have gambled between $2 and $4,000 to get yourself to a level, they will be sending you certificates on a bi-weekly or monthly basis for a free cruise. Well worth it to get into the programs. Bad decisions we are sapphire on celebrity gives us $500 in free. Play on every Cruise along with free internet and drink package. Congratulations on making Prime! That is my goal when I get on Utopia in August. Of course I am like you also and want to get on Icon anyway I can and this is the easiest way to get on Icon if I make Prime it should and I mean should be cheaper than I can do on my own even as a travel agent but but who knows! I know I will have fun trying to tempt the fates as well as get more free cruises. It's a win-win all around. I'm happy that you figured that out. I am getting on Utopia free as well as about 4 others this year. You are correct that it takes about $2500-$3000 of play to get to that level, or at least that has been my experience. I am thrilled that you made this video!

But I usually gamble $100 a cruise, ironically I have won 2 major super bowl pools over $1,000 bucks and a gazillion contests to many to mention. But if you have it to spend ho for it. But I enter a lot contests and win somehow. Keep on cruisin Tony. Love your videos watch your money buddy! Best Jeff & Sandy Brooklyn NY

    I didn't expect this video to be so informative. Thank you for this. There are probably dedicated channels for the serious cruise ship gamblers. I think it's important for people to be able to self-regulate with gaming, as with all things. If they can go in with realistic expectations, knowing they can lose a little (or a lot), I think gaming can be a great way to spend time on a boat. Not having been on a ship with a casino, I wonder if there are people verging on addiction who are chomping at the bit for the ship to reach international waters and then get despondent when the ship returns to local non-gaming waters.

    As a Prime Member, the Annual Free Cruise will make up most, if not all the $2600 you spent. Please report when you use that perk to book a cruise. Let us know how much you saved! As you mentioned the free cruises at the Casino Bar can be taken elsewhere on the ship. On your way to a show? Grab a drink in the casino, and enjoy in the theater. I've used past annual cruises on 7 nighters aboard Oasis class ships. In addition to your annual cruise you get monthly offers that allow you to take "complementary" cruises (you're still responsible for port fee and taxes). Keep up the good work Tony!

    Royal's not for us, we left the RCL casino program years ago cause we didn't like the way they run it. We still get offers.
    I've noticed the last couple months our offers from Carnival have included free drinks 'anywhere' on the ship!
    The Carnival casino offers we get cover cruises for the next 2 yrs, so we've already booked 4 back to back cruises with these free casino offers!
    How we handle gambling, we only play during the day on a sea day, we never play on port days or at night!

RC sends us offers as well, but typically have to book/sail in the next 4 months. We have 10 cruises booked all over the world in the next year through Carnival that we booked at least a year ago. Thru their Casino programs. Aussie, Baltics, Asia, Mexico, Caribbean and more. All with drinks for free for both of us and free play at varrying levels. We love your show!! Would love to connect someday! We have interviews on our show too!

    We've been crusing since last fall and have "won" 13 cruises but it comes at a price. Different lines have very different programs and, generally, amount spent on gambling (lost) tends to equal the price one would pay for a cruise or more. I'm currently doing a detailed analysis of the Holland program that I intend to document. I would say pretty defintively that it is extremely weak when compared to the RCI or Celebrity Casino programs. It's undocumented and the results are not consistent.

    @LaLidoLoca, if you want free drinks, you are doing it all wrong. Just buy the $100,000 chalice, that's on Icon of the Seas. Then you will have all your can drink for life and your liver and wallet will thank you for it. Especially if you are going to the casino.... Winning all that money, it's too heavy to carry anyways LOL so why not blow it. I know Royal Caribbean is always looking for gamblers that can lose more than what they can win in the casino. They have lots and lots of donors. Should someone win, they are typically just borrowing or holding onto that money to feel special until the casino the next morning grabs that vacuum to drain your bank account. Then as a consolidation price, you will get the wine of shame bottle at 2,500 points which is only worth about $10.00.

  • @johnwalterc

    I am also balancing cruise points verses 4 free drinks a day. Have a 13 night cruise in the fall. That would get me within 7 nights of Diamond. Thought about adding a 7 night cruise at the end of the fall cruise. We are on 4 back to back cruises in jan/feb. We will reach Diamond on the 2ed of 4 cruises. Royal Caribbean waits 2 weeks to award your new level so I may not benefit from Diamond level till 2026. It is cheaper for us to wait for 2026 than pick up a 7 night cruise to get 4 free drinks each for 28 days.
