I used to hate tearing down bikes but after watching your channel for about a month, rebuilding bikes and riding them is all that I want to do. Just bought a 1990 kx 250 2 stroke for 450.00. It runs but doesn't idle without some throttle input. Under revs it bogs heavily. Plus it dumps gear oil out of the case breather tube while running on the stand. I cleaned the carb and jets thoroughly and it makes great fire. I'm not so sure the compression is up to snuff completely though. It does fire with just a kick or two.
Trick to pack bearings like that ,,lay grease in palm of hand and rake the bearing thru it pressing the grease in as u slide the bearing across ur palm u will see grease come out where u said but on bothe side of the bearing it forces grease in and all old grease out

It is a basing that it runs on diesel fuel and stood a gas you said you got put some fuel in it I could believe that it ran on diesel as amazing the didn't smoke like diesel fuel or how good it would of ran if you put gasoline in it

I'm trying to make a trials classic legal bike for trials events . The rules say it has to be air 1 cooled engine 2 twin rear shocks and 3 drum front and rear brakes . The 2005 smaller wheel bikes have the drum brakes . I just need to some how fit some older rear shocks on both sides to make it legal to use . There is no year for the bikes just the 3 thing I listed . My first question is would this 125 engine pull a 195 pound 6 foot person up a short hill from a dead stop ? I need the first gear to be really slow I figure I could change the sprocket size if I needed to . How much do you weigh and how tall are you ? Do you have any videos showing what this engine can do from a dead stop say in a creek bed and going up the bank . watch this video and see if you think the ttr 125 would do this with a 195 pounder on it . The courses are not real hard and you go really slow like you see in the video . If you could would you make a video riding around on a course like this so I can see the bikes power . What are your current PSI readings? If they are low, try adding a small amount of 10w-30 oil into the cylinder through the spark plug hole, crank it over by hand to be sure it isn't hydro-locking, and then try taking another measurement. If your readings have increased, your piston rings are either going bad, or are stuck in the grooves.
Dear sir, love your videos. There is so much info I can learn from your vids. My BIL just gave me the same bike as yours. I am a total noob. I got it running but it is leaking oil through the crankcase vent hose. Borrowing from my knowledge of automotive concepts the reason why air is being pushed out of the vent hose is due to piston blow by, and crankshaft and piston articulation. I got one of those tire tools a couple months ago, they're suuuuupppper helpful, I always pinch the tube putting the tire back on

Yeah any bearings inside the engine will be lubed with engine oil.
