@@MotocrossHideout just my thought Ive had several over they years some new, but mostly used. Im just not a fan of the jacked up racer types with cheap easy to break components. liquid cooled? not for a trail rider - it will break electronics? those fail in not so good a places and cant be repaired to limp ya back. yeah Ive ridden a few of the newer types and they might be popular with those that dont know the old ones are simpler, more robust and easy to fix out on the trail. often a little micky mouse/mcguyver thing to limp it home to the shop where it can get a proper repair. thankfully not all are liquid cooled, but most are and Ive had them. great on the street. very hard to beat the simple carb of an old/vintage bike. my atv is liquid cooled/fuel injected, electronics - ok for what it is, but I dont trust it to go far on ;)
Lol im 270, 6'1" i ride one of these every now and then, it certainly could benefit from springs n oil change in the shocks. Its also alil on the small side with the short wheel base n cabin area. BUT its a cream puff of a trail bike. Super easy to ride around slow.
Bro my 2009 ttr230 is straight clapped out and will cold start in 3 spins regardless of temps. I’ve started it on 35° mornings for reference. Does take 2-3 minutes to warm up though
For a starter bike the 230 but if you have ridden before I would recommend a 03-18 CRF 250 they remind me of a 230 a lot you can do newer or older but based off what I have ridden they seem similar but the tourque and horsepower
Is this a good bike for someone middle 40s learning how to ride and just want to ride around my farm and ranch? I'm a good bicycle rider and have ridden snowmobiles for years, but never a motorcycle. I'm curious to try it out and this seems like a good bike for that.
The 230 would feel a little bit tall and possibly heavy, depending on your inseam length and overall strength, but there are plenty of people your size that can ride the TTR230. Have you also considered the TTR125? ruclips.net/video/n5BquAUr27E/видео.html
It might feel a little bit cramped, but I know of guys your size who still ride 230 trail bikes and like them a lot. There are some mods you can do, and proper riding technique also helps a ton when it comes to being comfortable, especially when standing ;)

Nice! Thanks for watching :)

Lol, thanks.
@@MotocrossHideout Just here for the sounds! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 J/K, good content, you earned another subscriber.

Sweet! Thanks for watching, James :)

do you prefer crf250f or the ttr230 as a trial bike
For a starter bike the 230 but if you have ridden before I would recommend a 03-18 CRF 250 they remind me of a 230 a lot you can do newer or older but based off what I have ridden they seem similar but the tourque and horsepower
Well I’m about to get a ttr 230 as a starter so if a starter get 230 if experience go for. 250f
@@Valentino0VR get it. Rock solid bike

Yes, sounds like a great match! Thanks for watching :)
This is a great bike to ride around a farm. Go for it man, ita cheap n easy
Dude..Mid 40’s … buy a Miata MX5 and put the top down.
Yes. It will be good.
A Honda crf250f would be good also.
Yamaha tw200 would be too but the back tires makes it hard to go through mud, etc.
Could I be able to ride at 5’2? How hard would it be
The 230 would feel a little bit tall and possibly heavy, depending on your inseam length and overall strength, but there are plenty of people your size that can ride the TTR230.

Would by chance a person of 5.6 fit that?
5 foot 6 inches? Yes.
Hi I’m 5’3, and 13 years old and 111 pounds what bike would you recommend
ruclips.net/video/SFIGKjuZDdw/видео.html
If you want to race motocross, then either an 85 or a crf150r. If you just want to trail ride and stuff then get a crf125f
250ib beginner bike? Why do they make them so heavy?
Cheaper to make. Most Enduro bikes are 240-250 lbs ready to go with a full tank of gas. Lower seat height makes more of a difference than 10-15 lbs.
Im only 5’5 what do you think would be best
This bike or a 125 big-wheel 4-stroke are great starter bike options.
Get the 230 man. I’m 5’6. If you are older for sure
I'm 6-4" 230 is this bike too small for me?
It might feel a little bit cramped, but I know of guys your size who still ride 230 trail bikes and like them a lot. There are some mods you can do, and proper riding technique also helps a ton when it comes to being comfortable, especially when standing ;)
thanks for the reply Had a 90s Honda dual sport 250 that fit me well.
Look at the klx300
do u have a 450???
Why do you ask?
@@MotocrossHideout im trying to see the size dif of the ttr and a full sized bike
This TTR230 is a full size bike. It has about a 3-4" lower seat height compared to a race bike.
@@MotocrossHideout ok thank you
I bought a KLX230R earlier this year. I’ve been very happy with it. I am looking for stiffer spring options since I’m 210lbs with gear.
Excuse me …at 1.13 my bike never sounded like flatulence….diarrhoea yes , but not popping farts
i`M JUST HERE FOR THE SOUND EFFECTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
