Even when it all comes crashing down, you can give into a little madness, a madness that frees a man of worries of consequence, of responsibility, of the weight of the world. Here we see two men, unlikely friends, after a grand journey and a grand failure. Dancing in the madness, laughing, as if they could do it until the end of the world. After all goes wrong, you can still have a friend that will be there by your side, dancing and laughing with you. "Boss, I have so much to tell you. I never loved a man more than you."

I just LOVE the instrument in this music. And Anthony Quinn of course - a force larger than life. I wish someone would do a scene with this song similar to MamaMia the movie 2018, but on a Greek Island with yachts and the azure sky and dozens of people dancing the Zorba. It would be spectacular!!!
@@AllRequired thank you🙏 I read the mandolin was played as well - not sure if both instruments were used at the same time but the bouzouki seems to feature more in writings about the song.

Anthony Quinn actor mexicano: puro talento. Agustin Vedros: hombre griego.
Zorba is a real battle dance. It stays steady. It never goes into loony land fun tunes. Speeding it up is a perversion of reality. Keep it steady, you'll win the battle.
I remember this movie as alternately confusing and horrifying until this scene. All of a sudden it made sense. I can't believe it ws almos 60 years ago and I still remember it so well.
0:40 "Sometime when you listen to the radio there's a tune you can get out of your head it plays again and again and it just gets faster and faster and faster and final it comes on"

So earthy and human and virile and strong, yet conveyed profoundly poignant emotions that touched the core of one's heart and mind and soul! Rest in peace, dear great and good man Mr. Quinn! You left a magnificent legacy of exquisite and most compelling characters in film!
Beautifully said !!!
Saw the movie as a kid, loved the book even more. Somewhat influenced my life a wee bit. Just awesome.
Mr Quinn played it more than 4000 times on Broadway, I was in Crete, saw the are where this was filmed.
Beautiful , unforgettable and absolutely the height of pure joy !
I watched this fantastic film of brilliantly played by Anthony Quin, Thanks for the upload. Cheers.
I stayed in Crete in 2024 and started reading this wonderful book...freedom is a state of mind. you can definitely experience that in Crete.
Always worth a visit to this magic. Especially if you have experienced the company of the Greek people in remote areas of their land and shared food and drink with the. As I have, years ago.

Anthony Quinn is the man, in every film, every scene he owns the part, In Lawrence of Arabia he is the 'a river for my people' , very few match his talent and everyone circles him in this movie like a moths around a candle .
Popieram pana,klasyka zaginęła a szkoda 😪😪😪
Gute Frage ? Dan gehe woanders.
Único e inmortal Zorba( Anthony Quinn) aplausos 👏
I just LOVE the instrument in this music. And Anthony Quinn of course - a force larger than life.
I wish someone would do a scene with this song similar to MamaMia the movie 2018, but on a Greek Island with yachts and the azure sky and dozens of people dancing the Zorba. It would be spectacular!!!
bouzouki?
@@AllRequired thank you🙏 I read the mandolin was played as well - not sure if both instruments were used at the same time but the bouzouki seems to feature more in writings about the song.
Fantastic scene
Anthony Quinn once said that there is no one who loved life more than him
De nagyon szeretem!Torna, a görög tánca...
Well done, very Nice muzic !! And very Nice Tancig 💃💃👏👏👍🥂🍻Thanks pozz svima ot sefer I marija. Francija
The passion shines through in every video. It's truly inspiring.
Anthony Quinn. A character of talent and humanity. When he played a part it was him. Legend...
May I repeat: he became the character!
Anthony Quinn actor mexicano: puro talento. Agustin Vedros: hombre griego.
Zorba is a real battle dance. It stays steady. It never goes into loony land fun tunes. Speeding it up is a perversion of reality. Keep it steady, you'll win the battle.
big actor, great picture, great song, great country
WHAT A GREATNESS.
AMAZING,
WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE YOU.
I remember this scene so well , when I saw it for the first time on TV in the 70’s
Isn't that a sirtaki?
I remember this movie as alternately confusing and horrifying until this scene. All of a sudden it made sense. I can't believe it ws almos 60 years ago and I still remember it so well.
At last, at 57,I'm just starting the dance
Good for You, Danny!
It's never too late! Good for you!
Thank you.
0:40 "Sometime when you listen to the radio there's a tune you can get out of your head it plays again and again and it just gets faster and faster and faster and final it comes on"
Anthony Quinn was such a versatile actor which made him great. I will watch any of his movies in a day❤😊🎉
We don't make movies like this anymore.
Because the world do not have such actors anymore. That's why!😢
you are perfectly right, it's true but sad
Doamne mulțumesc pentru atâtea minuni,te iubesc foarte mult.
The very best way of life, not just a dance !!!!
Great movie and unforgettable Anthony Quinn!!❤❤😢
My husband was a Greek officer on a cruise ship and the other engineers would perform this dance for the passengers! To their delight, of course.
One of my all time 10 top movies. Magnificent!
Absolutely love this! Being born in Greece. This was my mom,s favorite album!❤😅
