OMG, the snail -minced -pork dish has been my favorite dish for decades!!!! Lol. I love its interesting taste of mixed snail and pork so so much. Not to mention, the smell of lemon grass makes the dish a heaven!!! gruhhhhhhhhhh
Yeah! I loved that dish! Probably the best snail dish I've had in Vietnam so far, and I've eaten so many snails here! Mmmmm!!!!!
Wow Dalat, one of our favorite destinations in Vietnam. We were there for a week to escape the heat and I couldn’t make any better decision. They are known for their fruits and vegetables especially their big, plump and fleshy green avocado. The Vietnamese people love avocado shake and there isn’t a fruit they won’t make into shake or juice. My kids got introduced to this shake and still ask for it every now and then. I told all my Latino co workers and they all give me a skeptical look 👀 lol. On the way back we saw some beautiful persimmon orchards. It looked vibrant orange from far away and we didn’t know what it was. Our tour decided to stop by and we took some of the most dreamy, romantic pictures ever. I definitely go back someday.
Isn't the weather awesome there? Soooo nice. One week must have been fantastic! We were only there 2 full days.
Glad you enjoyed this video, stay tuned for Sa Pa next!
Your food choice are awesome, proud of the way you described the chicken heart and the close shot of the chambers. Very true and honest of what you like and not what people’s opinions are.
Oh yes, absolutely. I eat almost anything and enjoy sharing it on video. If people can't take it or don't like it, they have the freedom to not watch my videos. ^^ Cheers for watching and commenting!
Finally see a straight up video, no sugar coating for the masses. You called it as you see it, that’s great. Keep up with the great videos. I will definitely use your videos as a reference the next time I’m back to VN.
It’s time you go back to Vietnam and do another foodies video when this crisis end, I’m missing Vietnamese food!
Thank you Cory's girlfriend for filming you did a fantastic job :)
Cory, I was wondering what happened to you....so happy you’re back. Great video ...as always I enjoyed very much. Don’t stay away too long we miss you.💕💕💕
Thanks Victoria. I announced on my Community Tab that my cousins were visiting for a while, and that I also had a fever for a week. Sorry for the wait. This month was a bit busy in real life, but super slow on video uploads.
Anyway, I'm back now! yay!
Hi Cory! Awesome video!!! and authentics amounts of foods!!! My favorite... See you next time!!!😀😀😀😀👍👍👍
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!!!!!!!
Great video , like when you describe the food
Like your video, plan to visit VN in May.
Glad you R back :-) This is giving me ideas about the stuff I cook . Thanks Cory !
Very cool, I hope it gave some good inspiration!
Yes it will ;-) I love all the herbs and the cucumbers sliced on top of some of the dishes !
Thanks so much for the video at Da lat
Eat fab and 100% delicious. Stay hungry my friends!
Thanks
Thank you Cory for this video :) I have plan to Dalat this year and finally, I get the ideas for the food :)
Very cool! Da Lat is wonderful! Bring a sweatshirt and pants, it gets cold at night. ^^
Make sure to watch my Da Lat Night Market Food Tour video too: ruclips.net/video/Wm7kWkcVT2M/видео.html
you vids are great and detail , also how you describe the food. keep up the good work!
Thanks Kenny, glad you like my videos! ^^ Cheers!
The colours is beautiful my mouth watery 🤤 good job👍🏻
hehehe Glad you liked it, thanks for commenting!
Yay! Cory's back!
Thanks Ethan!
Hay Corey I'm in Da Nang trying some great food too da lat is defently on my list to see.
Oh awesome, have fun down in Da Nang / Hoi An area!!!
Definitely go to Da Lat if you have the time. ^^
Welcome back!
Thanks! ^^
Good to see you back, and gaddamn I love breakfast. This looks great!!
hehe Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers!
Glad you're back dude. That kool-aid man thing you pulled in the bread was hilarious. Awesome video as always.
Thanks Brandon! Was busy spending time with my cousins from Korea who visited Hanoi, then I got really sick with a crazy fever the day they left. This month has been hectic and weird.
Hope all is well. ^^
Feed The Cory glad you're feeling better man. The camera work in this was seriously next level stuff. Uber impressed with the editing as well. Keep killin it.
my kinda breakfast! yum
I'd eat that every day if there was a street food shop near my house here in Hanoi. T_T
That snail dish was a work of art. nice looking food all around. Well done man, subbed !
Thank you for subbing! Yeah, that snail dish... oh man... I'm still dreaming about it. 🤤🤤🤤
Looks so delicious!!
You should go to Da Lat, it was one of my fav places in Vietnam. ^^
I am drooling. Ughhhhh
hahaha You gotta visit there when you come to Vietnam!
Oh my, you brought back so much memories. We lived in Thu Duc District in HCMC and frequently had the Banh Mi Xiu Mai for breakfast. Our kids loved it. The one you show here in Da Lat looks like killer banh mi xiu mai. The baguette dipped in the meat juice puts Arby's au jus to shame. My mom makes great lemongrass snail-minced pork as well, exactly like you showed, with the lemongrass leaf as the "carrying case". As for the "la e", reminds me the variety and tremendous fragrant range of Vietnamese vegetables. I didn't eat much vegetable before I moved to VN but after having lived there for 10 years, I now miss all of those herbs now that I'm back in the States. Look like you hit the jackpot in Da Lat Cory. The long wait for this video is well worth the wait. I can officially hate you again :-)
Oh nice, you don't see banh mi xiu mai in Hanoi. I'd love to find a place here that makes it! Glad you enjoyed all the eating, and welcome back to hating me some more! lol
Hi Cory nice to see you :) your looking well and relaxed :) that's not food it's ART :) Yes bamboo i live it too ! think you were hungry ! thank's lovely video :)
hehehe Glad you enjoyed this one Celestine! ^^
Yum!! Yum!!
Indeed, it was yummy. ^^
My hometown 💗
Very cool! Thanks for watching!
Banh Mi and Xiu Mai looks so good. It's basically eating baguette with dumplings soaked in a broth.
Yes, but it's the most amazing baguette dipped in an amazingly delicious broth. hehehe That's key. ^^
2:54 am here in PR. I am getting hungry.... Loved this video....
hehehe sorry to make you hungry in the middle of the night!
맛있겠다!!! ㅠㅠ
Yessss~ ^^
Awesome video it seems so heavenly to live and eat there and thank you Cory's girlfriend for filming.
Glad you enjoyed it Liz. Da Lat is a wonderful mountain town... I'd consider moving there, but there's not too much to do once you see all of it. But all the fresh produce and delicious food, plus the quaintness of the town's charm really draw one in.
Hey you were in Dalat! That’s my parents’ home town... hope you had a good time Cory!
Oh that's super cool Cliff, Da Lat is an awesome mountain town. I loved it there, even though we were only there for just a little over 48 hours. I can't wait to go back!
Choo Choo team is watching this video to learn English. Your clear voice and the sub does help. Can you make such videos about life in Japan please? It doesn't have to be about food only, but any other topics ( people, occupations, culture, anything you do and love,...) still a new world to us to discover through your angle. Keep it up, Cory!
Nice
Thanks!
You should really try the Durian Avocado Icecream (basically the same with what you had in the video but also mixed with Durian). The smell and taste, ohhh, that's Heaven on Earth (I know you can eat Durian)
Ooooh nice! I love durian! I know they sell this dessert in Hanoi, so I'll keep my eye out for it. ^^ Thanks for the recommendation!
I do the same with yogurt, literally do not waste one bit of yogurt!!😂😂😂 Take care Cory and like always your videos are awesome!!!
hehehe Glad to know I'm not alone!
Like your video's mate.... u don't seem to fake anything like other bloggers....
Thanks a lot. I'm just being myself on video. If I like something or don't like something, I'll say it. ^^
You should try “bánh tráng nướng,bắp nướng mỡ hành,đậu hủ nước đường,sữa bắp” if you still in Dalat...❤️ thank you for visit my homeland
Thanks! Did you watch my Da Lat night market video? ➡️ruclips.net/video/Wm7kWkcVT2M/видео.html
Like a French dip sandwich!
Yummyyy loved the breakfast. The soup looked so flavorful. How did you travel to Da Lat by train, by bus? Don't see a lot of tourist. I just love the different herbs in Vietnamese cooking that aids with digestion and nutrition.
We had a shuttle van arrange our pick up in Nha Trang and then drove through the mountains for 4 hours to Da Lat.
The shuttle was arranged through my sponsor, GoAsiaDayTrip.com, they can do airport and sometimes city to city transfers like this. And yes, so many fresh herbs and veggies here! Love it!
You should be working making videos and documentaries for Discovery. The quality of your videos never disappoint.
I'm not a Vietnam fan, but I'm starting getting curious about it thanks to your videos
I'm just an amateur guy on RUclips without a team or crew. I think I would need to hire a cameraman and maybe a producer or editor to help with that, if I even wanted to work for TV. I'd love to do documentaries on a pro level, but I don't see that happening any time soon. Glad you enjoy my videos, it means a lot to me!
Feed The Cory look all the quality you give us in every video with simple resources, that's one thing I love about your videos, they look well recorded, your edition is pretty neat, that's what I mean. Thanks for always great videos
OMG those snails look incredible. I am a little jealous right now. mmm The Banh beo looks good too, all of it of course looks good but those are a couple things I would love to try. You really should get some enzymes for your lactose intolerance so you can enjoy all the milk without all the pain later. I really enjoyed this video so I subbed. Have a lovely day!!!
Thanks for the tip about enzymes. I've managed to live without milk, cream, or ice cream for more than 10 years so I think I'm alright. I just miss those good old days of eating a huge bowl of cereal with 2% milk. Or making milkshakes, or eating vanilla floats. lol Ok maybe I'll look into the enzyme thing. We'll see. ^^ Thanks for subbing!!!
HAHAHHAAHA You should cause there is just those days, I hear you loud and clear on that. Have a great one.
i would like to try the second dish with eggs. Plus the chicken strew.
Mmmmmmm try them if you go to Da Lat! Soooo good!!!
Dope shirt.
Thanks, Hai! Bought it in Bangkok for super cheap. ^^
Are there a decent selection of vegetarian dishes throughout Da Lat?
I love air and beer too ;p
They're both so great, can't live without either of them!
Minced Snail is looks very good. Dal lat is one of the places in Vietnam I'd like to visit. Snail is pretty common all over Vietnam or just certain areas?
Yeah, you can find snails everywhere from north to south, in all areas of Vietnam. So good!
Omg that was sooo funny!! You have a great sense of humor. It keeps it interesting. Lol. I never ate Vietnamese food. You definitely make me want to try it.
Keep up the good work Cory and hope your tummy feels better! 😜
Oh wow, are there any Vietnamese restaurants or food delivery places? You should order some Viet food ASAP! hehehe
Thanks for leaving a comment!! And yes, actually my stomach was just a little upset that evening, but nothing bad at all.
Hey! Google maps address very well appreciated! Thanks
The one absolutely essential requirement for the art of cooking is a love for its raw materials: the shape and feel of eggs, the sniff of flour, or mint, or garlic, the marvelous form and shimmer of a mackerel, the marbled red texture of a cut of beef, the pale green translucence of fresh lettuce, the concentric ellipses of a sliced onion, and the weight, warmth, and resilience of flour-dusted dough under your fingers. The spiritual attitude of the cook will be all the more enriched if there is a familiarity with barns and vineyards, fishing wharves and dairies, orchards and kitchen gardens.
~ from the food essay, “Murder in the Kitchen,” by Alan Watts, first published in Playboy Magazine (1969)
Nice quote. Love it. ^^
I am jealous of the amount of fresh produce i see in your videos. Seems every time you video you eat alot of it and rarely eat fast or precooked foods. Not only that by the abundance i would think it is not expensive to eat good fresh produce daily. Here in PR we don't eat as well. Fruits and veggies are rather expensive.
Yes, eating in Vietnam is cheap and delicious! I never eat fast foods like Burger King or Jollibees or anything like that.
It's unfortunate that good produce is expensive there in PR. Can you start your own garden?
Feed The Cory Tiny sunless garden apartment back yard. Lots of fungus and it kills the plants. I do have (all of a sudden) 5 papaya trees 6-7 ft tall. No flowers yet though.
Cory, It's Rikki from Pennsylvania, I was just watching the news about all the rain Viet-Nam and all of Asia has been getting pounded with and I just wanted to say hi and tell you I hope your ok an that I was thinking about ya. Peace out homie =)
Hi Rikki, thanks for checking in! Yeah, there's been lots of flooding in and around northern Vietnam. Even in Hanoi city, many areas get water up to 1.5 meters deep and traffic can't go through. I've been staying home mostly, since I hate going out in the heavy rain. No matter if I wear 2 raincoats and use an umbrella, I still get soaking wet... that's just how heavy and non-stop the rains have been.
I'm Ok and will be back to street exploring and stuff once the rains subside. ^^ Cheers for checking in on me!
Glad to hear that all is well with you Cory!! I'm also glad that you're staying in, the weather conditions sound dangerous over there! See ya and what you've been up to soon I hope. =) Stay safe Rikki =)
Thanks Rikki ^^
Cory, how could you eat so much and yet still stay so slender? I’ll look like a beach whale if I eat as much as you. What’s the secret? Lol. On a serious note, your videos are awesome and makes me so excited for my Asia trip (Thailand & Vietnam) this October which will be my first time to Thailand and first time back to VN since I left many moons ago. #feedthecory!!!
lol I have no idea, I think it's the good Korean genes that allows me to stay somewhat slim, even with no diet or exercise.
I definitely need to start working out though, I'm beginning to get into "dad bod" territory. 😓
Wow, October will be great for both Thailand and Vietnam! Super cool!!! I hope you have fun!
Feed The Cory Yes, I think it’s the Korean genes along with the Vietnamese food which aren’t so heavy like food here in America helped you stay slender. Also, nothing wrong with having a “dad bod” cause they make great pillows! Lol. I will hit you up for advice when I go to Asia in October. Would you recommend to pack a jacket or no? Thanks in advance.
We miss you 😘. Hope you don’t have any problem with fever. It’s been a while now please let us know if you are ok.
Thanks for checking up on me. If you follow my Facebook.com/feedthecory page, or my Instagram @FeedTheCory, I posted an update this morning about what is going on.
The ice cream is coconut😉
The starches in the slowly forming crust start absorbing moisture. They eventually become so saturated that they burst and liquefy. As the bread continues to cook, this starch gel turns into a brittle and glossy shell. Starch stiffens the crust just like it does to your shirt.
What is this comment in regards to? I need some context here. Are we talking about the flakey delicious bread?
I saw the baker one time with a bowl and a brush applying what I thought was butter but he said no its starch it makes the bread crunchy and noisy when you break it apart
hello
hi
That kid behind you during the avo/ice cream was adorable
hehehe Glad you caught him, I was laughing when editing. ^^
The food looks amazing, except the chicken egg and organs. lol
Yeah, it's definitely grotesque looking. But tastes good! hehehe
Go vegan!
I think you are watching the wrong types of videos if you expect vegetarians.
I'm going to have to agree with the two people who commented before me.
I literally ate a chicken heart and undeveloped eggs in this video, so you're probably not going to see me go vegan any time soon.
It's impossible for most food lovers and adventurous eaters to be vegan. I have the same problem lol.
