There may be kings of pop, metal, rap, country, alternative, etc. But Queen just draws you in no matter who you are, they really cared about the audience, and worked at giving us what we loved! We had travelled overnight from Glasgow and met people from all over. The front of the crowd was packed with people who had come a great distance. Lots of French, Irish and Scots. No other concert has ever come close.

I'm so happy i can share this with my daughter now.. we dance to Queen when she comes home from uni at the weekends. When he says he didnt expect Queen to be the one to steal the show I thought to myself after seeing Queen in concert in the earlier days I would'nt have expected any other Band too when asked today what the best concert I had been to and i went to alot in the 70's my answer is QUEEN
I envy anyone who was lucky enough to be at Wembley that day to see what is widely recognised anywhere as the greatest performance by queen on the biggest stage of all.. Yes there was a lot of music icons performing at Wembley and also over in the USA but Absolutely no one got anywhere near this level and i very much doubt we will ever see anything like this again... It's from a show on the BBC called "The World's Greatest Rock Gigs". This performance by Queen was voted the greatest live gig in the history of rock and roll. And it was.
Unfortunately I have never had the possibility to see queen although I have many records and the dvd at wembley. I was young at the time and also they never came to portugal. You have experienced something unforgetable. Queen is a excelent band but still there are other great bands. My friend, thanks and hope that you have a great year too.
I hate that I never got to see Queen live. I've seen many live performances on tape but it's not the same. I remember this one. I was in high school and Live Aid was such a huge deal. The guy had to die for people to leave him alone. Now all we have is mediocre singers that try to copy the old stars and old days. I literally hate music right now, people go crazy for beats and weak little voices, pretending they are amazing. But anyway, I guess that is life, right? Keep listening to your "cool" music and stars, and I will keep listening to the old greats. Freddie Mercury changed lives.
