Freddie had vocal nodules AND laryngitis at live aid. Doctors advised him not to perform. He ignored them and this was the result.

The best live group of all time in my book. Nobody ever left a queen concert feeling cheated. Freddie was hands down the best front man on the planet, may he rest in eternal peace. Thank you for all the great music Freddie.

Freddie Mercury just came out there and did what he always has done and is still doing today.. kicking everyone's ass when it comes to performing on stage. The dude was a beast! We love you Freddie, and we still miss you! RIP.

I have seen some really REALLY good live bands in my day but nothing will compare to this performance by Queen. There is a reason we are still commenting on it almost 40 years later.

In terms of all-time great frontmen of music, there is Freddie Mercury...and everyone else.

I was 8 years old when live aid was aired, i watched it with my family and when Queen came on that stage, that was the moment i fell in love with music, Queen and Freddie. He was my first love and he will be my last!

Freddie OWNED that crowd from the first note of Bohemian Rhapsody to the final note of We Are The Champions. He had 75K people hanging on his every move and every note. It is the ultimate showman in his finest live performance.

The command of the audience gave me chills. I was clapping in my living room at 15 with the world. Truly awe inspiring.
