Damn I missed a lot of years of listening and enjoying ANNIE'S fiddle playing.
What an outright and sharp sound of Bluegrass they produce. Kathy Kallick must be happy supported by fine pickers and singers.
Specially Annie Staninec seems the mascot in the group always wearing smiles which charm my heart every time I watch.
I know she's a fine clawhammer picker too as seen in Banjo Picking Girl.
I love a good fiddle improvisation, even if it's not the same one I'm looking at! Makes me think you never play it the same way twice, Annie! Great sounding band.

That was totally awesome! Is that a fender banjo? If so... that is an amazing sounding banjo! Have you added a different tone ring or any other modifications?
+Ben Perea Thanks Ben, Bill Emerson got this for me when I was 15 and taking lessons from him in Arlington, Va. He was playing the Artist model just like this at the time and endorsing Fender banjos. Wish I could get the tone he got! It's original with no mods other than a pickup inside and 48 yrs of hard use!
