ff15 will technically be my 'first' final fantasy game, I played a bit of ff7 but couldn't really get into it that much, I'm getting 15 mainly because the combat is finally not turn based, I know I'll enjoy it a lot more now because of that
SowleFish bullshit, i have played every final fantasy mainline game(that isnt an MMO). haveing played 4,5,6, 10, and 12 before ever tyouching 7 , i found that its opening dragged on far too long
Personally i thought FF7 wasn't "as" good as many people thinks, sure at the time it was made, i could see it being good, but for the most part it was an ok experience for me. What mostly dragged down the experience for me was that EVERY god damn character outside of aerith (or aeris in some versions i believe) was a fighter role with limit breaks that "mostly" only dealt damage. After a certain point in the game, it pretty much forces one of your fighters to be "that" medic which doesn't really "fit" them. Also while the materia system was somewhat nifty, it didn't feel any special, and mostly reminded me of a slighty different version of the magicite in FF6 and that game at least had character roles that worked better and was more diverse (even if you can just get 40 magic on every character and make them learn ultima to complete the game, always deals 9999 damage to a single enemy or spam quick + attack with master scroll and ultima weapons). Also the gold chocobo quest is just dumb. wasting 20 hours of my time to get a single materia that is the most broken thing with mimic? still not worth all the racing and is like 1/4 of the game just there. I also don't see how people consider emerald weapon to be a super boss when he literally is a damage sponge with 4 different moves. a mini yiazmat is NOT good boss design in my book. FF5 on the other hand made gameplay *much* more fun with all the customization options, even if the story and character development was average at most (generic evil guy wants to destroy the world gee how much hasn't that been done before? Faris is kinda cool i guess)
Everybody has their opinions but yeah FF7 was probably the best. The story, music, characters, everything was great about it. I would say FFX is second with 8 and 9 being 3rd and 4th.
As long as FFXV is a good JRPG that has the core final fantasy spirit but stands out as it's own game I'll once again fall in love with Square Enix!, lets ignore the compasions to FF7, FF8, FF10 or even FF13 and Instead enjoy FFXV for what it is... whatever that may be.
I could definily see that FFXV would end up being good, but the thing that made me start playing the series was the turn based combat (which is mostly what i look for when i pick up an rpg/jrpg). Seeing as Square is going more towards hack'n slash (which while i do enjoy it, i always prefer the turn based combat for the most) kinda turns me "off" slightly. I might end up getting the game, but I'm not really hyped for it tbh. P5 though is a different story (played through P4 and i absolutely love the game despite the BS luck involved with it), and whenever bravely third comes out (considering they hinted at a third game in BSEL i doubt they would just stop with the series).

Then the developers failed to create a self-contained experience, something that every singular medium of storytelling (a book, a movie, a game, etc) should be. If you need to read supplementary material to understand that is going on, then there was a massive failure in terms of writing.
manjiimortal they are gonna give you story but it is gonna be like halo or starwars were you will very highly benefit from reading and watching the other stuff because the universe is expansive
I really want FFXV to be good, I'm really excited for it. What worries me though, is the fact that SquareENIX is trying so hard to make people really love this game. Like you said, they're trying to make it the new VII. I think the main difference between them is that, FFVII was just a new FF on a new generation. Yeah, that's it. And in the end is a WONDERFUL game (VII is not my favourite FF, but whatever) because the community thought/think so. It's just like: SQUARESOFT: Hey folks, we got a brand new FF, 3D models, new concept, blah, blah, blah. Check it out. And the fans were like: Oh, great! A new FF, let's play it. And then: OMG, THIS GAME IS SO 'F' GOOD, WE WANT MORE FFVII. And Square was like: Oh, ok. The feedback is better than we expected. But with XV is like: SquareENIX: HEY GUYS! NEW FF! LOOK AT HOW MUCH WORK WE'VE DONE! WE EVEN DID A MOVIE! ALSO, WE DID AN ANIME! WE DID A WHOLE UNIVERSE. YOU MUST JUMP INTO THE UNIVERSE! YOU JUST HAVE TO DO IT! BUY IT! CHECK IT OUT! WHAT? Yeah, FF7's merchandising and spinoffs were a result of its success, while Square wants the merchandising and spinoffs to make 15 a success. They're forcing a new favorite on us instead of letting it naturally mature. They made a movie that depends on the game that depends on the movie and released it 4 months before the game, instead of 9 years later like with 7. They're trying to recreate a flash in the pan by intentionally putting a bomb in the pan and hoping it goes off.
Just dont keep those expectations to high. The game is good, but many people will get dissapointed. But believe me, the game is good and you should play it.

If I wanted to read, I would buy book or a visual novel and not a game. If you can't get into the story without any knowledge beforehand that's just bad story design.
Not necessarily... Had they released the game without giving us story through trailers, an anime series, and a 2 hr. long movie, then it would be an awkward story design, but I still wouldn't call it "bad", because you DO learn about the story and who the main characters are throughout the game, even without learning about them before picking up the game. It just might take awhile to get into the details of what's what and who's who. Point is... she's kind of an idiot for making people think you have to read and watch fan videos to learn about the world beforehand when there are so many resources that were given to us by SquareEnix that give us more than a gist of the backstory.
my dude they took out the invasion of insomnia from the game and made it into a movie. I legit just beat the game lmao and the entire time the game assumed you saw the movie and anime cause there is no explanation for the characters or overall plot. All i gotta say is you better hope you like the combat cause the story is bad.
This will be my 15th FF game I've played and it's honestly been so difficult preventing myself from replaying any other FF games in waiting just so I can enjoy this to my highest expectations! ^_^ Also, can we all agree that Noctis is the most patient FF main character in the entire series to have waited over 10 years for his chance to shine? :P 5 DAYS TO GO!!
I still haven't finished it. I was gonna wait for my Kingsglaive SE to get here but I haven't really picked up the case since then. I just want a FF movie that doesn't solely revolve around the action and for some reason it doesn't seem worth it to touch my FRICKIN COLD METAL KINGSGLAIVE CASE BECAUSE IT'S WINTER IN WISCONSIN to put in Brotherhood.
The hype for this game is pretty crazy and I can see why. I'm not going to sit and pretend like I'm a die hard Final Fantasy fan because the only Final Fantasy game I played and completed was Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. I was never into turn-based RPGs with the exception of Pokemon so I never saw any reason to spend money on the games and at the most, I tried playing FFX but didn't complete it. It's a shame too because I know the games are great, I just could never sit down and actually concentrate with the turn-taking. Anyway, I was very iffy with FFXV at first because of Noctis... I mean look at him, he's as angsty and stereotypically emo as they come and well, I'm not in high school anymore and I got tired of seeing characters like this. To me, he just felt like another Cloud (yes, I know why Cloud is depressed lol). But then the Brotherhood anime shorts came out and we got to see how these characters really are and I was totally surprised. :) So now, I am more on the gray side of excited. The game looks BEAUTIFUL, the story looks interesting, and the gameplay this time around is going to be action-based like Kingdom Hearts so yeah, I definitely plan on picking it up. But I agree with you, it does feel like Square is trying to make it the next FF7 and thus, be overly ambitious which isn't bad but FF7 is just... I can't see it topping it either. The legacy of that game was just far too much (for better or worse). So here's to hoping for a successful day. This may be Square's chance to turn their company around.
So sad to watch this video and see how much GOOD content was cut from the game. Like the cutscene with Noctis and Regis eating. Why cut that? It could be just a random memorie of Noctis in some point of the game and it would still be perfectly fitting... Really sad. I wonder the potential this game had before the cuttings.
am a newcomer to the Final Fantasy games and ironically the issue addressed around 1:36 was the exact problem I was going to have. However I was fortunate that my boyfriend is obsessed with this game and told me everything whether or not I wanted to hear it. I told him if it was that damn important they will put it in the game because they cannot expect someone like me who's picking it up for the first time to do all that background research (whole boy band road trip idea/graphics made me wanna get it) I believe they did now with a patch but I wanted to think butter buns for putting what I was trying to say into perfect wording
Having to "do homework" by consulting lore material OUTSIDE OF THE MAIN GAME is bullshit. If you can't immerse your players in the world without having to read/watch/consult some other material, then that aspect of your game is a failure. Destiny did that crap and it was a massive immersion breaker.

I got the game on Friday - to answer ur questions, they do a great job of explaining kingglave however , watching the anime is a must. it doesn't tell u much of their history so far... watching the movie does help. wish they had done something to incorporate it more.
I will play the game completely blind with no background knowledge whatsoever, to develop an unbiased, unhyped opinion of this game and be really able to see if it was worth the hype or not.

I recomend you to watch the KINGSLAIVE movie, because its something that happens at the same time you are playing the first chapter of this game. Watch it to graps the context and setting of this game.
Honestly, this is the first Final Fantasy that I am actually excited about since the 4 remake. I got into 10 years after release, I never finished 12, and completely ignored 13. This one has me super excited though.

Cool vid bunz! But I've got a few concerns with ff15 already. 1. you shouldn't have to watch a movie, mini anime or read anything about the game to know the story before playing. This leads me to think the story telling into the game will be lacking. 2. There's a season pass, which has made me decide I'd rather wait until a couple a complete edition is out, I'd rather send a message to sqenix that I don't want my rpgs carved and served in bits. 3. it's a minor thing but as the game as leaked reports are stating it can be beat easily in 40 hours...for some this is fine, but I like my rpgs to have a little more meat and longevity. 4. I'm still but hurt by 13... I played 20+ hours and it was so lack luster, rubbish characters, overly complex story.
It seems like it will only take 40 hours to beat if you only do story stuff. If you take your time and do everything the world has to offer, it should easily exceed over 100 hours.

Just wanted to point out that Square Enix has released details on the day one patch. Such detail include them adding in some of the scenes from Kingsglaive. So I'm assuming that will be for those who have not watched Kingsglaive and will need to know that bit of backstory in order to make the over-all plot make more sense.
Got to be honest, never played FF in my life, but I might get this. I don't know, maybe it's because it was released on my birthday. Bravely Default/Second were pretty good though, so was Heroes of Ruin, so that's 3 good marks for Square Enix.

What I've learned from over-hyping Dark Souls 2 that I will never again hype myself so much about a game. You'll only be disappointed if you get too excited about it. I wonder how I'll feel about KH3 when it's close to release.
I knew you were deep in the rabit hole, but this is kind of much. At this point i seriously kinda just hope itll be good just to have it not kill the series. The Watchdogs 2 hype train kinda picked me up a bit after seeing SuperBunnyHop's review but i am pretty scared i will hate at least some aspects of it with fervor.

So, how do ya think the multiplayer will pan out? I can only imagine people fighting to be noctis or Square changing up the gameplay a bit so each of the characters are balanced out instead of having one overpowered player and the rest of the guys just, kinda not doing much. perhaps Noctis will be able to channel his magic to his friends like Regis can with the Kingsglaive, you know, how they're able to materialize their weapons and such? Maybe they'll get to warpstrike too? Will they share the same animations as Noct if they can? Idk, but I think it's kind of an eh deal since Noct does most the work from what I've seen.

i personally couldnt get into type o mostly because my friend i got stuck in the beginning on some quest which had little to zero direction or guidance plus i had only rented it so i eventually gave up and returned it
I'm not too sure about whether I'm going to buy 15... we've all been horribly burned by Square Enix recently... and there hasn't really been anything nice to cool off that burn. I feel like I'm the only one who thinks that way though. (Not to mention the demos have had awful framerate, almost as bad as SotC) Glad to see a bunch of people super hype though, I truly do hope it pays off.
It's hilarious that I watched this video after I beat the game. XD So this was actually the first Final Fantasy I ever played and I never felt deterred away from it. It's actually one of my favorite games of 2016/2017! I plan on buying FFX and X-2 and FFVII (when it comes out as a remake) so I can try out the older games.
Well in some regards the Final Fantasy Universe is connected. Also some fan theories about that stuff. For example Spira might later become Gaia from VII (That little guy Shinra). Looking at FF1 and 9 you also see some similarities (MT. Gurug)

hey buns, so one of the biggest draws for me in the final fantasy series is the immediate romantic tension between the main protagonist and whoever else is in the party. I always considered it to be one of the most charming parts of any of the main stories. with that being said, is this aspect of the series gonna be largely absent during this story considering that the entire first half focuses more on a road trip with the bros? don't get me wrong, I know that there will a lot of memorable moments that showcases the vulnerability of the characters and themes surrounding friendship but it's undeniable that one of the distinct features that echoes consistently through any good square project is an amazing story that revolves majorly around romance.
Oh and another funny thing about the delay being for the Day One patch coming as a part of the core game... there's still gonna be a day one patch to download on the 29th xD
I just got Final Fantasy III on my Nintendo DSi and its my first Final Fantasy game (didn't buy it for myself). I'm finding it hard to get into, but the more recent games look great. Should I play the first few games so I know the story and then continue playing all the games, continue from Final Fantasy III and not play the earlier ones (and read wikipedia for the story), or should I do something else? I want to play these games but I'm having a hard time following through. Any advice would be much appriciated!
Yeah, it's best to stay away from watching any content of a game you're anticipating (even though it is pretty difficult to stay away) so you don't get spoiled. I know I'm not touching my computer around the time KH3 finally gets released.

In the time it's taken 15 to get produced, I've gone from the 5th grade student wanting my friend to shut up about Final Fantasy, to "Hey, the first one is free on the app store" to "This is a really beautiful hallway" to "HA HA HA HA HA HA *HA* this series is my jam" to "I totally didn't just buy 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7(for the second time), 7DoC, 8 (for the second time), 9, 12, 13 (for the fourth time), 13-2, 13-3, and Type-0 in a single year" to the college nerd who won't shut up about Final Fantasy.
I'm excited for it but I think I'm going to wait for the inevitable PC release. The fact that there's going to be so much DLC for this really turns me off, especially since they already said that simply getting the season pass won't cover all of it. Unless it ends up being 11/10 gods gift to earth in which case....shit. Guess I'll be spending 100's of dollars on Boy Band RPG DLC.

rondre molo I've seen enough anime to confirm that they don't. cognitive dissonance is a western style story telling construct. Some eastern writers adopt it and frankly become the best writers around. But many simply don't as the mere portrayal and expression of ideals and ideas take priority over narrative, world grounded realistic sense. Hence why you find many plots in anime to be full of "coincidences" and conveniences.

In order to make it feel like Final Fantasy 7 it needs to be unexpected. For example, as soon as you boot up a new game, press attack, your character swiftly lunges at the enemy and kills them with one hit.. I wasn't expecting that. It was really trilling actually being strong for once. In addition to this it was like, it began small, and then grew into something bigger, you know what I mean?
I just realized I was like 8 or 9 when verses 13 was first announced no i'm a freshmen in collage that's freaking insane lol, but so glad I get to play it soon though. And well put Buns I might have to watch Brotherhood though good thing its short lol.
What I like is that finally we have a group of men fighting, no more skimpy clothed heroines still they moved all the candy eye to one character but looking forward for a great story
I think the delay was a good call by Square Enix. They delayed it cause the base version available on the disc was broken which wouldn't be a problem but some people don't have internet for the patch and they would get a broken game. The new day one patch is to add extra features its not required to experience the game to the fullest. But I do wish I could play it already gimmie gimmie.

You know what I mean? They are trying pretty hard, they're forcing it so hard.
Yeah, FF7's merchandising and spinoffs were a result of its success, while Square wants the merchandising and spinoffs to make 15 a success. They're forcing a new favorite on us instead of letting it naturally mature. They made a movie that depends on the game that depends on the movie and released it 4 months before the game, instead of 9 years later like with 7. They're trying to recreate a flash in the pan by intentionally putting a bomb in the pan and hoping it goes off.
Just dont keep those expectations to high. The game is good, but many people will get dissapointed. But believe me, the game is good and you should play it.

If I wanted to read, I would buy book or a visual novel and not a game. If you can't get into the story without any knowledge beforehand that's just bad story design.
Not necessarily... Had they released the game without giving us story through trailers, an anime series, and a 2 hr. long movie, then it would be an awkward story design, but I still wouldn't call it "bad", because you DO learn about the story and who the main characters are throughout the game, even without learning about them before picking up the game. It just might take awhile to get into the details of what's what and who's who. Point is... she's kind of an idiot for making people think you have to read and watch fan videos to learn about the world beforehand when there are so many resources that were given to us by SquareEnix that give us more than a gist of the backstory.

my dude they took out the invasion of insomnia from the game and made it into a movie. I legit just beat the game lmao and the entire time the game assumed you saw the movie and anime cause there is no explanation for the characters or overall plot. All i gotta say is you better hope you like the combat cause the story is bad.
This will be my 15th FF game I've played and it's honestly been so difficult preventing myself from replaying any other FF games in waiting just so I can enjoy this to my highest expectations! ^_^ Also, can we all agree that Noctis is the most patient FF main character in the entire series to have waited over 10 years for his chance to shine? :P 5 DAYS TO GO!!

I still haven't finished it. I was gonna wait for my Kingsglaive SE to get here but I haven't really picked up the case since then. I just want a FF movie that doesn't solely revolve around the action and for some reason it doesn't seem worth it to touch my FRICKIN COLD METAL KINGSGLAIVE CASE BECAUSE IT'S WINTER IN WISCONSIN to put in Brotherhood.
The hype for this game is pretty crazy and I can see why. I'm not going to sit and pretend like I'm a die hard Final Fantasy fan because the only Final Fantasy game I played and completed was Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. I was never into turn-based RPGs with the exception of Pokemon so I never saw any reason to spend money on the games and at the most, I tried playing FFX but didn't complete it. It's a shame too because I know the games are great, I just could never sit down and actually concentrate with the turn-taking.
Anyway, I was very iffy with FFXV at first because of Noctis... I mean look at him, he's as angsty and stereotypically emo as they come and well, I'm not in high school anymore and I got tired of seeing characters like this. To me, he just felt like another Cloud (yes, I know why Cloud is depressed lol). But then the Brotherhood anime shorts came out and we got to see how these characters really are and I was totally surprised. :)
So now, I am more on the gray side of excited. The game looks BEAUTIFUL, the story looks interesting, and the gameplay this time around is going to be action-based like Kingdom Hearts so yeah, I definitely plan on picking it up. But I agree with you, it does feel like Square is trying to make it the next FF7 and thus, be overly ambitious which isn't bad but FF7 is just... I can't see it topping it either. The legacy of that game was just far too much (for better or worse).
So here's to hoping for a successful day. This may be Square's chance to turn their company around.
So sad to watch this video and see how much GOOD content was cut from the game. Like the cutscene with Noctis and Regis eating. Why cut that? It could be just a random memorie of Noctis in some point of the game and it would still be perfectly fitting... Really sad. I wonder the potential this game had before the cuttings.
am a newcomer to the Final Fantasy games and ironically the issue addressed around 1:36 was the exact problem I was going to have. However I was fortunate that my boyfriend is obsessed with this game and told me everything whether or not I wanted to hear it. I told him if it was that damn important they will put it in the game because they cannot expect someone like me who's picking it up for the first time to do all that background research (whole boy band road trip idea/graphics made me wanna get it) I believe they did now with a patch but I wanted to think butter buns for putting what I was trying to say into perfect wording
Having to "do homework" by consulting lore material OUTSIDE OF THE MAIN GAME is bullshit. If you can't immerse your players in the world without having to read/watch/consult some other material, then that aspect of your game is a failure. Destiny did that crap and it was a massive immersion breaker.

- to answer ur questions, they do a great job of explaining kingglave however , watching the anime is a must. it doesn't tell u much of their history so far...
watching the movie does help. wish they had done something to incorporate it more.
I will play the game completely blind with no background knowledge whatsoever, to develop an unbiased, unhyped opinion of this game and be really able to see if it was worth the hype or not.

Honestly, this is the first Final Fantasy that I am actually excited about since the 4 remake. I got into 10 years after release, I never finished 12, and completely ignored 13. This one has me super excited though.

But I've got a few concerns with ff15 already.
1. you shouldn't have to watch a movie, mini anime or read anything about the game to know the story before playing. This leads me to think the story telling into the game will be lacking.
2. There's a season pass, which has made me decide I'd rather wait until a couple a complete edition is out, I'd rather send a message to sqenix that I don't want my rpgs carved and served in bits.
3. it's a minor thing but as the game as leaked reports are stating it can be beat easily in 40 hours...for some this is fine, but I like my rpgs to have a little more meat and longevity.
4. I'm still but hurt by 13... I played 20+ hours and it was so lack luster, rubbish characters, overly complex story.
It seems like it will only take 40 hours to beat if you only do story stuff. If you take your time and do everything the world has to offer, it should easily exceed over 100 hours.

I didn't know about the whole Versus thing before but damn am I glad that they decided to rework it as FF15
Just wanted to point out that Square Enix has released details on the day one patch. Such detail include them adding in some of the scenes from Kingsglaive. So I'm assuming that will be for those who have not watched Kingsglaive and will need to know that bit of backstory in order to make the over-all plot make more sense.

I liked it after I figured out the combat and weapon upgrades. The story was a bit sloppy but still good enough. Lightning had a bunch of good lines.

Bravely Default/Second were pretty good though, so was Heroes of Ruin, so that's 3 good marks for Square Enix.

What I've learned from over-hyping Dark Souls 2 that I will never again hype myself so much about a game. You'll only be disappointed if you get too excited about it.

The Watchdogs 2 hype train kinda picked me up a bit after seeing SuperBunnyHop's review but i am pretty scared i will hate at least some aspects of it with fervor.
I heard they are realeasing Kingsglaive and the anime with the game, I'm not sure if that means the actual games or if it just comes with short summaries to both but I've heard a lot that they will explain it in the game using the anime and movie

So, how do ya think the multiplayer will pan out? I can only imagine people fighting to be noctis or Square changing up the gameplay a bit so each of the characters are balanced out instead of having one overpowered player and the rest of the guys just, kinda not doing much.
perhaps Noctis will be able to channel his magic to his friends like Regis can with the Kingsglaive, you know, how they're able to materialize their weapons and such?
Maybe they'll get to warpstrike too?
Will they share the same animations as Noct if they can?

i personally couldnt get into type o mostly because my friend i got stuck in the beginning on some quest which had little to zero direction or guidance plus i had only rented it so i eventually gave up and returned it
I'm not too sure about whether I'm going to buy 15... we've all been horribly burned by Square Enix recently... and there hasn't really been anything nice to cool off that burn. I feel like I'm the only one who thinks that way though. (Not to mention the demos have had awful framerate, almost as bad as SotC)

So this was actually the first Final Fantasy I ever played and I never felt deterred away from it. It's actually one of my favorite games of 2016/2017! I plan on buying FFX and X-2 and FFVII (when it comes out as a remake) so I can try out the older games.
Well in some regards the Final Fantasy Universe is connected. Also some fan theories about that stuff. For example Spira might later become Gaia from VII (That little guy Shinra). Looking at FF1 and 9 you also see some similarities (MT. Gurug)
Don't go in expecting a long story and don't go in expecting anything from any trailer pre 2016 or you'll be severely disappointed.

hey buns, so one of the biggest draws for me in the final fantasy series is the immediate romantic tension between the main protagonist and whoever else is in the party. I always considered it to be one of the most charming parts of any of the main stories. with that being said, is this aspect of the series gonna be largely absent during this story considering that the entire first half focuses more on a road trip with the bros? don't get me wrong, I know that there will a lot of memorable moments that showcases the vulnerability of the characters and themes surrounding friendship but it's undeniable that one of the distinct features that echoes consistently through any good square project is an amazing story that revolves majorly around romance.
All I can do is be reminded about all the games that had such long dev times. Oh boy. Good luck to all you fans.
Oh and another funny thing about the delay being for the Day One patch coming as a part of the core game... there's still gonna be a day one patch to download on the 29th xD

I just got Final Fantasy III on my Nintendo DSi and its my first Final Fantasy game (didn't buy it for myself). I'm finding it hard to get into, but the more recent games look great. Should I play the first few games so I know the story and then continue playing all the games, continue from Final Fantasy III and not play the earlier ones (and read wikipedia for the story), or should I do something else? I want to play these games but I'm having a hard time following through. Any advice would be much appriciated!

The fact that there's going to be so much DLC for this really turns me off, especially since they already said that simply getting the season pass won't cover all of it. In order to make it feel like Final Fantasy 7 it needs to be unexpected. For example, as soon as you boot up a new game, press attack, your character swiftly lunges at the enemy and kills them with one hit.. I wasn't expecting that. It was really trilling actually being strong for once. In addition to this it was like, it began small, and then grew into something bigger, you know what I mean?
I expected this game to be horrible, but it's actually frigin amazing. It's ridiculously polished. Definitely check it out

I think the delay was a good call by Square Enix. They delayed it cause the base version available on the disc was broken which wouldn't be a problem but some people don't have internet for the patch and they would get a broken game. The new day one patch is to add extra features its not required to experience the game to the fullest. But I do wish I could play it already gimmie gimmie.
