Thank you so much for this video I'm just getting started and I was getting frustrated of what envelope to put in what binder with long and short term goals but calling my short term a revolving biinder made so much sense to me and has made this journey so much easier
This video makes me feel better about also having a lot of binders. I don’t feel crazy. Im currently growing my budget binder set up that also fits me . Love your binder set up
It works for some people (like me and you). I just need that extra category organization. Brain works so much better with it lol. Nice to meet someone else with the same mindset! 💜
I'm new to your videos and I really admire the way you have your selections, categories, and the drawings for each binder. Gives me inspiration on how I would like to set up my binders. 🤗❤
Depending on the envelope, I either made them myself (I made a video on how, check my DIY playlist), or I purchased them from IntentionalLivingYT on Etsy. (2 envelopes are IntenionalLivingYT, and the rest are all mine).
You can choose to do it several ways, depending on your budget. Sometimes I’ll set aside $5 for each of my “cash” envelopes and just let that build slowly over time. Sometimes if I know something is coming up soon, I’ll prioritize certain envelopes over others. It’s ok to not stuff every envelope every time. For instance, if I know I’m going to need dog food soon, and my envelope isn’t quite to where I need it to be and won’t be with my $5 per income plan, then I’ll skip some other envelopes and instead put those extra $5’s towards my pet envelope. It all depends on how much came in, and what should be prioritized due to due dates so to speak. I’ll also set an amount for specific envelopes where no matter what that same amount gets put in there, like for bdays and Christmas, etc. in order to reach a end goal I’ve made for that event. Ie; I want to save $500 for my son’s bday in a year, divide that $500 by the amount of paychecks I know I’m getting in the next 12 months (or however long you have until the event) and that is the amount to put in that envelope each time so that by the time the event comes, I have $500 saved and I’m not scrambling for cash and taking it from other places. Make it your own and what works for you. You got this! 💜💜
@@ThrivingInChaosBudgeting thank you so much now it is making more sense. I think I got overwhelmed because I probably made too many envelopes for a beginner. I feel like the light bulb turned on Lol. Thank you, great explanation. I watched many videos I knew it depended on total you had per check but no one ever mentions how and why they pick what amounts to stuff.
I love the mental health envelope for your daughters. I have a teen son, and therapy is so needed for them. Great job, you two!
Absolutely agree. It’s such an amazing benefit I wish all teens could get. Honestly. 💜

how do you decide which envelopes to stuff? I’m just starting I’ve made my different binders but now I don’t know how and how much to add.
