The tweeters and mids on the door creates lots of vibrations. Need full damping mat to dampen the whole door. The woofer location is one of the worse, with the cabin carpet and floor mat, any frequency above 200hz are attenuated. Yes, most mid drivers cannot drive down to 200hz on the door. Only. A couple of brands can reach as low as 180hz with proper tuning of DSP using REW. Time alignment is crucial. Due to the awkward position of the mid woofer, the 200-280hz zones are out of phase at the listening position. Careful selection of filters is important from FIR to IIR filter to align the phase is critical. It took me months to figure it out. A good DSP is needed with 2 types of filters to illuminate the issues due to Mercedes design of speakers location. Also, convert MOST bus into IrDa helps. Bypass the Burmester or HK system altogether.

I've watched both part 1 and 2. really good and detailed video. Wanna ask your opinion, how does the Match by Audiotec fischer plug and play series (C42MB) as compare to the Etons? Seems like the Match ones are much cheaper
This is what i have in my kick asss BMW 535i M-Sport:
Front (with tweeters), center coaxial & rear with tweeters = Eton mid speakers (German made) all @ 50 watts RMS each.
Underseat woofers:
Audio System Ax 08 BMW Plus Evo @ 2 ohms/ 175 watts RMS each German made.
Amplifier:
German made - Bavsound Revenant DSP (7 channels) PnP with 2 custom tunes. 645 watts RMS/ 1295w peak. Its also the clone of the German made Match UP 7BMW DSP amp!
FREAKIN' AMAZING SOUND! CLEAR, CRISP & CLEAN BASS even at LOUD volume - no distortion at all.
UNMATCHED sound output & turns heads all the time!

1. I were to upgrade mine one with (ETON UG MB100F 2-Way Front Speaker Set, mid and tweeter) only, and I'm not huge bass fan.
2. Without DSP, is the system performance going to be discounted?
3. If I'm still using bluetooth audio instead of carplay, how big is the impact on sound quality? Best practice?

1. you will get clearer sound quality but the standard sub is hopeless and you need the bass drivers in the footwells to complete the upgrade experience or it will still be lacking but in a different way
2. i have an audision 4.9 bit running the audision subs and eton components in front, highly recommend it

i have a w205 2019 audio 20 i dont think i have a bass speaker in the foot comparment 😢

I have the gladen boxmore in my C class. I have nothing than problems. All the time the DSP Amp cut off because of overheating. And the tweeters also break down all the time.
Either the gain on the amp was touched or definitely your amp is bad, switch it!
I had the same problem, all Eton mid speakers and Audio System AX Plus Evo subwoofers underseat and once the bass hits hard on the custom tune on the Bavsound Revenant DSP amp (exact as the Match UP 7 BMW DSP amp) it would cut off from either clipping or overheating! Freakin' annoying. Send it back to Bavsound and they send me a new 9ne and problem fixed. Now i can bump my kick ass system all loud with heavy bass and no problems at all!

the subwoofer is placed near to the driver seat and passenger side
the amp is run by the DSP itself
do I still need a subwoofer behind? do the front footwell subwoofers cover mid bass frequencies all the way down to sub bass?
For this owner he is satisfied with the set that is being presented. However additional subwoofer comes down to personal preference
Tag me if you do a W213 “I have the upgraded audio” or a ES300h upgrade. We own both and I want to update them.

do you have any experience with Gladen spearker set for W205? In compare with ETON they should be even better for classic/rock music....
If you don't swap that shitty oem amp with a Match Up 7BMW DSP amp or its equivalent of the Bavsound Revenant DSP pnp amp, no matter what speakers u have they will sound like total shitt if using with stock oem amp 100%! Trust me i know!

i can tell you with authority YES as i have both systems, own 2 cars, one with burmeister and one with upgrade etons in front sun/mid/tweeter and the etons with audison amp definately outclass the burmeister set up.

@@kshak3125 vocals more clear and defined certainly more hifi sound than the burmeister, bass is deeper in the front even with sub bass faded out and volume with the audison amplification is better but not by much in all fairness, i do like it louder sometimes.
@@kshak3125 i was wary about the eton speakers but have been really impressed by them, not a brand i had previously come across, but you are fairly lumited with this fitment for plug and play, only other set i came across was rainbow set which was being phased out
