This is great video-snap from your time in Paris, well done by the production team... bravo, you managed you depict the ambiance in the Australian Olympic squad !
To all the athletes : it seems you enjoyed your time in France (some may come back soon, others perhaps stayed a little longer). Please, know we are so delighted to welcome you, and the whole World, for this special moment of celebration and togetherness. And only part 1 has concluded, because we are now heading full-speed towards the Paralympics. I can't wait to cry again before those performances from outstanding athletes !
There are many ties between our oh-so distant countries. Just a couple for now, directly related to the Games...
Jessica and Noémie Fox are daughters of French athlete Myriam Jérusalmi, later Fox-Jérusalmi, also an Olympic and World medalist, in kayak as well. Both were born in Marseille, where the Paris 2024 sailing races (boats and kites) were taking place. When Richard Fox, father and husband, grabbed five World champion titles. It seems harvesting medals is a prolific family business !
Then we have our BMX couple, a solid pair of champions... Saya Sakakibara and her sweetheart Romain Mahieu. She nailed the Gold medal, after battling for years to come back on top and keep that spot, when he placed 3rd in a historical 1-2-3 for France (previous one in summer Games being in 1924, in Gymnastics). Mahieu said he cried for his Saya being victorious, but not for himself : "I think I was even more joyous for her than for myself. She had such tough times, for years, with injuries, that it's not been easy for her. Seing her there, standing at the top, was so great !". Note they both won the 2023 BMX World cup... how's that for a year ? Do they share sucess, or do they build a common project towards excellence ?

Facts don’t care about feelings - French - Shouldn’t you be hiding and retreating somewhere ?
No more French language in future Olympics . The games were so bad , fake crowd noises / cheers were pumped over the stadium speakers
Aussies lost a lot of lives doing what the French failed to do - Defend France !!! All because French did what they do best - retreat / hide
. The worse /most cowardly military. History all the way back to Agincourt , then we have WW 1 and WW2 all embarrassing retreating . France was taken over in 2 weeks !!!! And cowered under the Vichy government (puppet n@zi government). Churchill was correct in destroying Vichy controlled military / navy .
As a former SAS op in my youth , we were tested on how bad the French are in battle / cowardly
History doesn’t lie and explains a lot about the French . Read a book about French history - so revealing / embarrassing
