You guys are a breath of fresh air in the world of Catholic evangelization. Keep up the good work and I hope my channel will some day reach out to everyone as yours is doing. God bless you!
This is just the beginning! Can I get an Amen? The Catholic Talk Show has been a game changer for my faith. What a blessing. Thank You🙏🙌👊 Mascoutah, IL
You guys did a great job and were fun to watch, very interesting. There's a book with a biblical base called Alien Encounters written by Chuck Missler and Mark Eastman thats good also. It does have a different spin though. I'll have to check out more if your videos!
I recommend a book named, UFOs demonic activity & elaborate hoaxes meant to deceive mankind. Great book it talks about what some of the top experts on UFOs have concluded about ufos.
Glad you brought this up. A lot of comments are implying that “of course there are other beings on other planets, etc” like we’re just taking for granted what or who they are. I’ve watched ancient aliens series, and the one thing that stands out to me: they never discuss any GOOD explanation for any of it. I would LOVE to hear the other theory, that these sightings, beings, are not friendly little ET like guys, they’re not your friends! They are likely followers of the Prince of the powers of the Air!!
I can imagine God creating other worlds and peoples. Maybe other creations of our Lord helped in our evolution. Maybe God really enjoys creating and watching. Trying to perfect.
That is exactly what I've thought, we probably aren't the first creation nor the last. Maybe the universe is still expanding because God is still creating.
What if God created absolutely everything just for us and we're it? And if all that's out there is just for our amazement and wonder. That God loves us so much He created everything just for us, after all He died for us. We can also learn from what we see and reason that God is a mighty God.
If He created it all for us why is the universe ever expanding? He is pushing the line further and further away. There are eons and light-years of the universe we have no access to. There are quadrillions of things we haven't seen in the universe and may never see. How are we supposed to believe that those are for us? He created great wonders outside of our reach which is why I believe in ETs. The ones we can't get to are for them. Think of it this way, would you paint a beautiful picture, a breathtaking piece of art, and then hide it where no one else could ever see it? No, you want to show it off, right? It would be bad discernment to hide it and God has 1000X the discernment a man does so He wouldn't waste His far off wonders for no one
where does the ladder to heaven lead to? Saints and biblical narratives tell of the ladder so where does it ascend to, and what is it made of? Now that we have explored the solar system (not the realms) as far as we can what is the link? How do we comprehend and account for what is missing
Padre, I'm not going to disparage Columbus, but no educated person at that time thought the earth was flat. To be specific, going back to the 4th Century B.C., the spherical world had been worked out. That information may not have been disseminated as widely as it is now, but even among the peasant class, the concept of a round earth was widely known by the late 15th Century AD.
This is an interesting subject despite my thoughts below, I just think we need some more definition and understanding before we start assuming things before they happen.
What’s your thoughts on alien religions and if some may have similarities to the ones here on Earth? What if representatives of “God” came down to every intelligent species out there sometime in their existence, catering their word to the culture and physical form of that species?
Well it’s been officially reported by the US Navy that the “tic-tac “ ufo photographed on their radar is an unknown and the speed was incredible. My church choirmaster told me he saw a disk hovering over a pond in his town one night and was very scared. As far as space travel look up bending space time.
Enrico Fermi was the first one to discover Nuclear Energy, first Nuclear Reactor in Chicago, also the two bombs used in World War 2 against Japan, also one the Nobel Prize in Science
If they want to experience that transformation, go to Matthew chapter 26:36 through 46 and then read Isaiah 53 and lay down your life as Christ says, through the rest of the New testament an Old testament, Christ is the word that became flesh and dwelt among Us, in whom the father is well pleased, don't you think GOD deserves the glory.
I am an atheist and I consider it difficult that with the hypothetical discovery of other intelligent species, free and capable of ethical decisions, the Christian faith can sustain the narrative of "a creation of the universe that culminates in the human species", that "the incarnation of god has occurred in the human species to give us the fullness of his revelation", that "the original sin of the human being has brought chaos to all creation", including civilizations of other species, that "the final judgment in which god separates good from bad humans includes the destruction of the rest of the universe", etc. However, I admire the openness of Catholicism towards this "aliens" stuff and I only hope to see how they explain that, once again, the holy spirit corrects the interpretation that the inerrant church in matters of faith had held for two millenia.
Nice to hear what the input from the Church on these issues. Makes my laugh when alien theorists talk about holy apparitions as aliens encounters on TV. The Warp drive is being studied as a therotical reality to see how the technology can be made available in the future. Faster than light travel will become a reality some day
Just by the way, Moore's Law was about transistors and stopped being relevant quite a few years ago. We haven't quite hit a wall, but our progress slowed dramatically and we're inching closer and closer to a theoretical limit. I think mathematically, there really ought to be other life in the universe. Intelligent life, even. It's a very big universe. But there's absolutely no sign of it in our own galaxy (referred to sometimes as Fermi's Paradox, with no shortage of possible explanations), and our ability to ever meaningfully examine other galaxies to the level where we could determine if intelligent life, or any life might be in those other galaxies seems like an impossibility, even with downright fanciful technology. I think God put those galaxies in our sky so that we would always have something to wonder about, no matter how much we might advance in our capabilities. I'm sure there's details, like other animals and plants, scattered throughout the cosmos. God is the greatest of all artists and probably put such detail in His works that only He knows about, and I like to think about that and wonder. How much of that will we be able to discover? Probably not even the tiniest of fractions. There's is a principle in science, that says we should not consider our circumstances to be particularly special or unique. The laws of physics are probably the same everywhere, we are not the center of the universe, and that there's nothing special about our solar system, planet, etc. That's the principle anyway, and for science it's a good one. But the truth is, there's always outliers, and the universe does have a center, even if it's unknowable. The odds of our world being special in some way may be extremely low, but it's not zero, and as Einstein said: God plays with loaded dice. We are now starting to be able to detect exoplanets, planets orbiting stars other than our own. We can begin to compare, and by comparison we look very blessed. I look at our solar system, and I see some remarkable things. I see us living on a world with low enough gravity that getting escape velocity is not terribly difficult with relatively simple chemical reactions. I see a moon, that's large enough, and close enough, that we can go there fairly easily and someday soon establish permanent settlement, and test the sorts of technologies we'd need to figure out how to get to and live on other planets someday. I see a planet, Mars, that seems perfectly suited for that first step on another world. It has low enough gravity, and thin enough atmosphere, that we can go there and take off again. It seems to have the necessary resources for long-term, permanent colonization, and we have the materials here on Earth to get there and even eventually terraform it. We even have prospective other habitats, once we learn what we need to learn from colonizing Mars, and truly get out into the galaxy maybe someday. Circumstances for us might have been very different. In fact, the odds of the circumstances being different seem increasingly likely the more we learn. Yet here we have a solar system that seems ideally suited for us to explore and grow outwards from. There's a path of stepping stones laid out for us, and it's hard for me to not see providence in that. God seems to want us to look up at the sky and wonder, and then reach out to know more of His creation. He's given us challenges, but challenges we can overcome. I find that very interesting.

EWTN's National Catholic Register published an article some time ago, I think within the past 2 years, that concluded that one of the doctrines, if not dogmas, of the Catholic Faith, which one of our ecumenical councils defined, served as a kind of premise, from which authoritative premise one of the necessary theological conclusions was that there was no intelligent life, if not no life whether intelligent or not, beyond Earth in the physical creation/universe. It relied on the theological principle that if there is a necessary conclusion that follows from an authoritative doctrine or dogma, then that conclusion is also authoritative and binding in conscience. I remember clearly that the article convinced me that it was binding on Catholics to believe that no intelligent life, if not no life at all, existed in the physical creation/universe beyond Earth, as a necessary and therefore authoritative conclusion from a definition of a Catholic ecumenical council. I urge you to find the article (I did not upon a quick Google search, but I know it said what I have repeated herein) and give the correct religious assent.
I would have liked to hear your thoughts on whether or not aliens are aware of God, or formal religion for that matter. If abductions really do occur, I hope that an abductee will ask the aliens about their thoughts of God and/or Jesus Christ. Notice how that topic never comes up when someone claims they were abducted? Great channel, keep up the good work.
Interesting show. I'd add that Moore's Law (more of Moore's general observation) was actually about transistor density on integrated circuits. This exponential trend can of course indirectly drive exponential progress in other fields, but I think you guys are really looking for The Law of Accelerating Returns, heavily promoted by Ray Kurzwell, which is a much more general hypothesis.
C.S.Lewis wrote a trilogy of space travel..very quaint due to its being written in the 1930s 40s. In the first volume is entitled "Out of the Silent Planet ." The Silent Planet is Earth which is "silent" because God did not allow Satan "the prince of the power of the air" to communicate with the other angels assigned to other planets which indicates that the creatures on another planet have never fallen and therefore were not in need of salvation. They knew the Son of God and referred him to an edile . I found that whole trilogy to be fascinating! What do y'all think about this?
I spend so much time reflecting to the sky...till one night 6 tall beans were standing over me just starin at me wit there heads tilting left and right..scary sight

So it is one redemption by Jesus incarnated as one species of hominid on one planet enough for everyone, or does/did Jesus need to repeat the 3-day disappearing act for all the alien species? Do they all get their own hells for Jesus to harrow when he redeems them? Or do we all get stuck into the same hell, and Jesus harrowed this intergalactic menagerie? Is there a different judgment day for different species then? How exactly does judgement day work when you have habitable worlds of humans and non-humans across the universe (or for that matter, even if only humans colonize other planets)? Do we all get the same resurrection bodies, or are those species-dependent? What about when the Homo Sapiens line evolves or is engineered into a new species?
I do remember the late Father Malachi Martin (exorcist, advisor to 2 Popes, Vatican researcher into Dead Sea Scrolls) addressing this topic during one of his several interviews with radio host Art Bell. ruclips.net/video/VKgQiT2vM80/видео.html
You got me wondering on one point. Jesus being God.. Looking up from below what he created... I'd love to know what he thought. Beautiful and Amazing. I love the night sky. It reminds me each night how full of Light even God's Night is :) God Bless!
My only question is: We we're given god's grace for us humans and as far as we know we were never given the authorization to give it past ours species. Idk maybe we need to be careful with the grace entrusted to us?
Well, no. Even if they did, they would have to be in communion with the Pope in Rome. If there are aliens, they are also forgiven their sins by the salvific sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Or maybe the creator made a different savior for another planet? It would still be his creation. Everything would be different for that particular planet, I doubt they would be like us, maybe better maybe worse.
if an alien wanted baptism it presupposes he would live according to the precepts of the Church.... go to confession, Holy Mass, Days of Obligation etc. To live by the Ten Commandments... otherwise he could not be Baptized.
plus dude,..he would be like this green iguana looking thing but also a pilot n all,..that would be creepy man ,. i'm sure they got good churches on other planets already ,,
The panel obviously does not have much knowledge about this issue ..... There really needed to be someone involved who had such an up to date knowledge. Sure, it was 2019. But there needed to be a believer on the panel, not just some very vague comments.....
They dismiss the possibility of aliens due to the distance between planets. Because chances are, Earth's ancient rocket technology has also been developed and still used throughout the universe. Really??
Interesting discussion. The Catechism in paragraph 356 says only man in the visible world can know and love God. With that being said, if there is other life in the universe the possibility of it having a rational soul is very very low. That would leave us with the invisible world, the only other creature that knows and loves God with the exception of demons are the Angels. So are there aliens? I guess the question should be asked is there life in the visible universe with a rational soul, other than humans that love and know God? IMO, based on church teaching, no.
1 Corinthians 15 The Resurrection Body. 36 * You fool! What you sow is not brought to life unless it dies.t 37 And what you sow is not the body that is to be but a bare kernel of wheat, perhaps, or of some other kind; 38 u but God gives it a body as he chooses, and to each of the seeds its own body. 39 * Not all flesh is the same, but there is one kind for human beings, another kind of flesh for animals, another kind of flesh for birds, and another for fish. 40 There are both heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the brightness of the heavenly is one kind and that of the earthly another. 41 The brightness of the sun is one kind, the brightness of the moon another, and the brightness of the stars another. For star differs from star in brightness. 42 * So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown corruptible; it is raised incorruptible. 43 It is sown dishonorable; it is raised glorious. It is sown weak; it is raised powerful.v 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual one. 45 So, too, it is written, “The first man, Adam,* became a living being,” the last Adam a life-giving spirit.w 46 But the spiritual was not first; rather the natural and then the spiritual. 47 The first man was from the earth, earthly; the second man, from heaven. 48 As was the earthly one, so also are the earthly, and as is the heavenly one, so also are the heavenly. 49 Just as we have borne the image of the earthly one, we shall also bear the image* of the heavenly one.x This passage could be talking about each star in the sky has a unique body or life form associated with it as well as spirit forms of the body. Many translations substitute the word brightness as glory in line 41 . Humans are described in this passage as the glory of planet earth. I believe Paul knew of extraterrestrial life and the people of his time would were aware of the gods like the Olympians as being from the skies/heavens or as we would say,"from outer space".
GOD MADE HUMAN BEINGS AND ANGELS AND THAT IS IT! HE CREATED THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE! ALIENS ARE FALLEN ANGELS, THE FALLEN ANGELS THAT REBELLED AGAINST GOD!
then the whole universe would be full of devils, this thought is absurd and against all reason.Demons are beyond and not innerwordly like intelligent aliens, who are created in God's imagery, too, and never fell into sin like this fallen planet, what God could have revealed to them also with Jesus also as their king of kings! @@sess678
Alien life as sentient life like us or a type of life but with no souls ? if other humans or other intelligent beings are out there then they are also created by God and their end fate/ destiny is the same is ours..... no doubt about it!
We are not alone, we have never been alone! Read the Book of Enoch which was never recognised in the canon, although it is in the Etheopian bible. Aliens have been on this world for thousands of years.

I have never believed in UFOs. The concept of it always seemed ridiculous... That's just me.
well my friend ,.. you're ignoring many scriptures that seem to perfectly describe them,.
"Vatican hosted aliens" now i'm imagining two swiss guards carryng a captive alien wrapped in a carpet asking cardinal Scola where should they put it.

Even though there's no proof we always expanding, for example, different planets we didn't have before that was discovered.
Can't wait!!! 😁
You guys are awesome!!
Fathers aliens speak with telepathy lol great impression though!
Interesting discussion but could someone explain why we're mocking the astronaunt about zero point energy? We're literally talking about aliens so...
Fr Richard looks like a Young Steve Carrell
C.S.Lewis wrote a trilogy of space travel..very quaint due to its being written in the 1930s 40s. In the first volume is entitled "Out of the Silent Planet ." The Silent Planet is Earth which is "silent" because God did not allow Satan "the prince of the power of the air" to communicate with the other angels assigned to other planets which indicates that the creatures on another planet have never fallen and therefore were not in need of salvation. They knew the Son of God and referred him to an edile . I found that whole trilogy to be fascinating! What do y'all think about this?
What does the Catholic Church think about the tic tac video and the discloser The US government will release in June.
I spend so much time reflecting to the sky...till one night 6 tall beans were standing over me just starin at me wit there heads tilting left and right..scary sight
Here we have the 3 Amigo Bobble Heads.
Would you say we have a plethora of bobbleheads?

If there is life elsewhere in the Universe, did it also have a Fall? Did Jesus go there and be their Savior?
You got me wondering on one point. Jesus being God.. Looking up from below what he created... I'd love to know what he thought. Beautiful and Amazing. I love the night sky. It reminds me each night how full of Light even God's Night is :) God Bless!
" Magnetic propulsion " is the only way to achieve these goals of traveling in deep space
I am Catholic, not sure I always work if they are among us .
My only question is: We we're given god's grace for us humans and as far as we know we were never given the authorization to give it past ours species. Idk maybe we need to be careful with the grace entrusted to us?
Only jesus's head is shaking on your desk, I just had to laugh at the semographics, a little bit of Crowley going on there, A.
Now what?
What if the aliens had their own Catholic church? If Jesus had come to Earth, why not to other planets?
Well, no. Even if they did, they would have to be in communion with the Pope in Rome. If there are aliens, they are also forgiven their sins by the salvific sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
@@ilkka4716.. i agree
Yes of course,..they all probably have their own versions of it,..thats the whole point we are making here,..
To live by the Ten Commandments... otherwise he could not be Baptized.
plus dude,..he would be like this green iguana looking thing but also a pilot n all,..that would be creepy man ,. i'm sure they got good churches on other planets already ,,
It was the 1st movie I saw e t 1970s
36
* You fool! What you sow is not brought to life unless it dies.t
37
And what you sow is not the body that is to be but a bare kernel of wheat, perhaps, or of some other kind;
38
u but God gives it a body as he chooses, and to each of the seeds its own body.
39
* Not all flesh is the same, but there is one kind for human beings, another kind of flesh for animals, another kind of flesh for birds, and another for fish.
40
There are both heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the brightness of the heavenly is one kind and that of the earthly another.
41
The brightness of the sun is one kind, the brightness of the moon another, and the brightness of the stars another. For star differs from star in brightness.
42
* So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown corruptible; it is raised incorruptible.
43
It is sown dishonorable; it is raised glorious. It is sown weak; it is raised powerful.v
44
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual one.
45
So, too, it is written, “The first man, Adam,* became a living being,” the last Adam a life-giving spirit.w
46
But the spiritual was not first; rather the natural and then the spiritual.
47
The first man was from the earth, earthly; the second man, from heaven.
48
As was the earthly one, so also are the earthly, and as is the heavenly one, so also are the heavenly.
49
Just as we have borne the image of the earthly one, we shall also bear the image* of the heavenly one.x
This passage could be talking about each star in the sky has a unique body or life form associated with it as well as spirit forms of the body. Many translations substitute the word brightness as glory in line 41 . Humans are described in this passage as the glory of planet earth. I believe Paul knew of extraterrestrial life and the people of his time would were aware of the gods like the Olympians as being from the skies/heavens or as we would say,"from outer space".
That is speaking of the perfected spiritual body we will receive after our resurrection.
GOD MADE HUMAN BEINGS AND ANGELS AND THAT IS IT! HE CREATED THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE! ALIENS ARE FALLEN ANGELS, THE FALLEN ANGELS THAT REBELLED AGAINST GOD!
You are correct. Fallen angels are masquerading as aliens/extraterrestrials.
then the whole universe would be full of devils, this thought is absurd and against all reason.Demons are beyond and not innerwordly like intelligent aliens, who are created in God's imagery, too, and never fell into sin like this fallen planet, what God could have revealed to them also with Jesus also as their king of kings! @@sess678

Alien life as sentient life like us or a type of life but with no souls ? if other humans or other intelligent beings are out there then they are also created by God and their end fate/ destiny is the same is ours..... no doubt about it!
Can someone prove to me the earth is round ?
It is man who has fallen not the universe.
Entropy does at least cite that it either fell with us, or was always meant to be temporary in the form it is.

We are not alone, we have never been alone! Read the Book of Enoch which was never recognised in the canon, although it is in the Etheopian bible. Aliens have been on this world for thousands of years.
Plants (and animals) have souls, but they are not immortal like ours.
I do not appreciate that Catholic priest doing that I find it very offensive and it’s uncalled for. And I’m going to complain about it and your RUclips very very it’s not right.
Dude, you should probably go to therapy, nothing discussed here goes against the Catholic faith, so go ahead and put in your complaint, then pray to God he makes you more open to conversation.
Edgar Dean "Ed" Mitchell was a United States Navy officer and aviator, test pilot, aeronautical engineer, ufologist and NASA astronaut.
