As a Dark Eldar collector this is really insightful, thanks fam.
Why settle for such.. simple methods? Why not send him into the warp to be with Slaanesh? That must be the ultimate torment for any dark eldar.
Even the Dark Eldars got taboo and "ethics". And messing with Slaanesh or worse, giving an Eldar soul (even a Craftworld Eldar one) to her/him/it is a big no no and a guaranteed one way trip to the Haemonculi fun labs
Also, if you send him to the warp and feed him to Slaanesh, you won't be able to take pleasure in any of his suffering; Slaanesh will get all of it.

2:57 there was a story in "fear the alien" where a dark eldar warlord thought he was in love with another archon, losing his daughter in the attempt to gain her affections. The warlord realized that he truly loved his daughter more than this woman, who then fell in love with his despair.
The more I learn about the lore of 40k the more I think the orks are the happiest race.

What I would do to my former master seems tame until you see the implications. All I would do is put them on a ship, go out into realspace, and quickly decapitate them. My attempts at causing suffering would just be silly when compared to what Slaanesh will do to them for all eternity.

a twisted race for sure, but they're by far my favorite to play in soulstorm.
Has an guy who became prisoner/pet of Asdrubael Vect himself and this prisoner, when freed wrote about the things he sees and what the dark eldar told him.
I wound up flaying my former captor molecule by molecule, raising the blood in his veins to a near boil just to kill time between the peelings, but never getting it to the point of a full on aneurysm. Nerve damage was inevitable, but I staved it off as long as I could manage.
Great video man. Just got into 40k recently, been doing alot of research into the lore.
In regards my former master, I think helplessness would be a big part of the torture.
First, I'd strip him of his clothes and armor for all his former subordinates to see.
Tying him to a chair in a large drum, I would keep him well fed, only to let him sit in his own feces, force feeding him laxative if need be. Let my subordinates also throw in their food scraps, garbage, dead victims and the like.
Second part, over the course of days to weeks as he is in that chair, I'd remove his right hand piece by piece. Removing a digits at a time, I would apply the accumulated waste to wound, letting it grow septic, removing the rotten flesh pieces only to apply more waste to the fresh stump, only finally sealing the stump with fire when his whole fore arm is gone.
By now, his legs have already been damaged beyond repair by infections, leaving him barely able to walk. I'd remove the infected flesh, causing him to walk with a distinct hobble due to his mangled legs. Finish this phase off by chopping off all but his thumb and two fingers from his left hand, aswell as removing one of his eyes with a low level laser, finishing it off by shaving his head in a sloppy manner.
Step three, after weeks of filth and infected wounds, I'd pull him out and allow him to bathe, using bleach instead of soap as I watch him.
Finally, I would give him some simple trousers, a shirt, and a wooden bowl.
Thus begins his life as a beggar; be it on the streets, on old battlefields, anywhere I send him. He can only sustain himself on what is put into his bowl by others.
Only when I have grown bored of seeing that broken thing begging for my amusement will I put him in a sky cage hanging off of my balcony, allowing hunger, thirst, and exposure to the elements finish him off.
I'll give you 2 guesses what happens to victims of the Dark Eldar. This fate personally terrifies me. *We are doomed*
The weird thing about the eldar is that they torture, kill and harm each other all the time but still have to exercise some constraint (not slaughtering a true born, keeping eldar slaves fed, avoiding suspicion, sucking up to leaders, training each other, maintaining the wytch cults, etc). It reminds me of the Terran Empire in star trek. Plot all you want, but don't go all stabby stabby unless you want to die an extremely brutal death.
So they have to "trust" each other at some level and cooperate even if it is situational. All over the centuries and thousands of years of an eldar life

Indeed. I submitted rules for Wych Cult in Necromunda...and thouhh not at the current rules...they are like "spirers" as in only in campaign for so long until the recover a Webway poryal activation device...which are Archaeotech in the under hive. I playested them as both Cult and against a cult...think they work well. May have get a look at the new rules and have a go at modernizing.
Agree a fpf/3pf rpg set in comorragh starting grom the bottom and climbing the society ladder by violence and deceit to end up as an archon. AWESOME.
Keep him seperated, depriving him of emotions and experiences, only occasionally granting him such things to make him all the more aware of what he's missing.
I would give him a drug that alters his perception and he'll think he's beginning as a lowly slave.
After he fights his way up to the top and gets used to power, I'll wake him up and tell him it was all an illusion. Then put him back to sleep again.
Repeat the process until he grows mad.
Or I go bored.
These lore videos are pretty cool, I like the way he explains everything. It is pretty cool.
Skin him alive. But make sure he stays alive through whatever minimum amounts of drugs are necessary. Then, give him the job of serving everyone's evening meal.
They say that Vlad the impaler's technique was primarily done on living people. Scientists who conducted computer simulations and tests with human analogs discovered that most victims would survive impalement for 2 or 3 days.
Please do more! I'd love to see this channel expand into stories from all races, with different "lifestyle" aspects from each race e.g.the build-up in an Ork territory before a massive battle/Chaos marines dealing with Tau stealth suits within the ranks!

I would keep them as a breeding ground for my for my children as the feast on there insides and when they bursts from there body i heal them up and start the prosses again. And every time they pass out from the pain i give them nightmares of them reliving the torture that they gave to there victimes over the years.
Hmm, apprehend the old leader, bind him so he's helpless, take him on the next raid and send him in a life pod towards the closest warp opening... very slowly.

Think my biggest issue with the Dark Eldar is that for the sake of backstory GW had the Salamanders drop pod in, essentially drag their balls across the face of an entire faction and then piss off. Like the whole concept of them and they are horrific and all but as a faction they dont read as very strong compared to the others.

You would that there isn't much room for upwards mobility in Commorragh especially towards the the top of the food chain because of how cunning yet paranoid the Dark Eldar are (plus immortality via leeching life). Surely the people above your station in this society would be far too careful and clever to allow someone like you to usurp them so easily, since they too had to of been very crafty themselves to get where they are.
Very true, upwards movement is difficult but far from impossible. The higher you go will eventually become a mind game. You have to play the waiting game and wait for others to make mistakes... or engineer them ;) A good example is Vect shows up to kill such a usurper and in the moment of chaos another gang takes the chance to assassinate a rival. I could craft a way to achieve a position within the higher spires but I'm saving it for the next video ;)
That is an ideal view of a Dark Eldar. Reality often is a lot less perfect. With Dark Eldar, the more downward you go from the top, the more flawed Eldar are.

They are simple as in their sensual capacity. They want blood. They want battles. Maybe food. What else do they want in life? In other words, WHAT ELSE COULD YOU DEPRIVE FROM THEM? The answer is very lacking. Hence, simple.

I would torture him to the brink of madness but not kill him since there is no gain in betrayal for own reasons I would contact other gangs or kabals and sell him and his family to the highest bidder which would give me new connections, then I would attack said kabal and set my former master back in place which would create some kind of stockholm syndrom meaning the victim begins to love his torturer as he is both the one who tortures him but also the one who feeds him and frees him , then I would place him in charge over both gangs and ruling in secret ,,,because if something goes wrong I can still " betray" him and take control over the gang(s) in public which would give me the foes of my former master as allies .

well as I mentioned this relies on the stockholm syndrom which is able to pretty much control a persons and it's feelings towards it'ts torturers and this is only known for humans! imagine how that would work out with a race who brought torture to perfection
They don't fall-in-love with their torturers because they're not human.

You forgot the cloning part, even when you went full on the being born part.
Its not true cloning, more of an accelerated maturation process. Half-Born Dark Eldar, are not created from DNA samples like true clones, but are fertilised embryos, taken from the mother's womb and grown in a tube, to full adulthood.

I would do many experiments on my master, testing new drugs, seeing what insides can be pushed to there limits while also keeping him alive as long as possible, and seeing how much pain can be endured, while also pumping more drugs through his veins that will make it to were he couldn't pass out from the pain, and every time an organ would fail if replace it.
In regards to the Former Master's Fate:
I would kill him quickly, preferably with the use of a sword. Why? To show that those who even think about betrayal will have no hope for rescue if they are caught. There will be no last minute "hero" saving their hides, no aid from allies who would want to see me dead. They shall face a swift death, with no chance of enjoying the bounties of rebellion.
I would take my former master and cast him out of Commoragh through Khaine's Portal then watch how his soul is consumed by Slaanesh

after my accencion i'd get those that I tortured (if they are alive) and give them a knife, they can mutilate the last master as much as they want but may not kill (life for a life if they muck up) after each mutilation i'd get a haemonculous to heal him, then repeat the process until I run out of those previously tortured (or I get bored) then it would depend on my mood what happens next

I would remove all limbs of my forma master 1centermeater at a time over years and years keeping the eyes perfectly intact and throw him in the slave pits every day with basic weapons shoved in what was left that attack him if he managed to hurt any of the rioting slaves and just before he dies rescue him and fix him up just so he lives missing bits every time so he could feel being beaten to death and if he defended himself he would be in so much pain and over years and years erode into nothing

I would put my boss in a hole and fill it in so he could only move his head. Then I would remove his tongue, eyes and defen him. After this I would also freeze his head so he also couldn't move it. It would pipe food into him and keep him alive getting slowly insane as he is completely paralysed
first off are the Dark Eldar your favorite? considering you started your lore series with them. But what kind of torturer are you taking out the tongue second, how can they scream, and make other such wonderful sound as much without it? As delectable as torturing another is, sometimes you must go to the professionals for such a thing. Hand your victim over to a homunculus, so experiments can be done. I would love to go into more details, but I fear youtube would ban me for writing such things.

So if the Dark Eldar fear death and Slaanesh above all else they would lose a protracted war against Astartes, that do not fear death. As it would handcuff the strategies and combat doctrine they could use. So all they really have is their quick hit Pirate raids.
You would also have to figure they would stay far far way from the "force of nature" armies where death is not even a real thought, such as Orks in full Waaagh and of course Necrons or Nids
You cant have a prolonged war with the Dark Eldar, that is not something that they do. They do not want land, they want pain and nothing else.

I would not touch him. I would just have the part of his brain that handles sensation surgically removed. and then I would lock him in a room that he could not see out of, and leave him. keep him alive but other then that I would not touch him. for a member of a race addicted to sensation that is a fate worse then death. oh I might through in some torture tools in every once in a while. you know to entertain guests or show off for rivals so we can watch him torture him self to death. but I would never let him truly die. I also would use a method like this as deterrent against disloyalty form My warriors. but that is is for your next video.

i don't know if it's that hard for you, but is it possible to make your own subtitles instead of generated ones, for no-natives english speakers, as you sometimes speak a bit too fast for us

Working on it now guys, I can see why you may have a problem, these subtitles are just rubbish lol.
the bigest problem concern special words related to 40k universe, like Commoragh or stuff like this. sometimes they even create new sentences with the end of the words and sentences coming then. ofc it still understandable if we listen to you, but what are subtitles made for so, especially if we feel some difficulties?

Well, you asked. I can't really do justice to an alien mind, but-
Mutiliation is art, but it is immature art to be performed after all of the others. I would have him drugged, paralyzed and confused as I recounted all of his mistakes, indiscretions and all of the little weaknesses I had used to usurp him and gain the loyalty of those he thought were loyal. As power and status is everything to the dark kin, this knife twists far deeper than any physical one, all while displaying my methods and reasoning to my new underlings who had, up until now, only watched me work and perhaps conspired for their own gain.
Manipulating type and dose until I had him delirious or to whatever degree satisfied me, In the end, I would thank him, having systematically broken down all of his pride and accomplishment in front of his former servants. In the end, he would actually believe himself so weak as to thank me in turn for instigating the coup.
... Then the physical mutilation can begin.
Question-how would life be different for a Dark Eldar child that was, at birth, spirited away and raised on a craft world?
I'm pretty sure there is no biological difference between the eldars, so they could integrate perfectly into the other's society.
Though they are "biologically" the same, the two groups have been physically isolated from each other for millennia. There would be differences that would go beyond appearance. Living on Commoragh would require different abilities to survive long enough to pass on their genes to next generation, than would be required by an eldar living on a craftworld.

@Rodney, I've since learned the dark eldar are actually quite different, they apparently have almost translucent skin, and have better reactions and senses than regular eldar. So I take back what I said.
Thanks, I though there was something like that. I used the example of how dogs have been altered in just under a century to produce vastly different animals.
Here's an idea for a story; A Dark Eldar lord finds out that the Harlequin had stolen away one of his offspring, and goes on a quest to destroy it.

i would 1st give him hope, hope that i would stay loyal and keep him in power, hope that the others he trust will save him. i will lead him and those loyal to a ship then once striped in i would inject them with sedatives. i will wake them up and begain torturing one, flaying the skin injecting him with drugs demanding to know who "betrayed" my master, i will contune this for weeks until its only him and me, leave him to be leave i am the only one he trusts and would never betray him. Meanwhile leaving the loyal ones recently tortured half alive insane, reminders of my mercy, my rage, what i can do, what i will do, and what i love to do. My master is "captured" by another Kabal i lead a raid to save him from his torture, Do this again and again to not just him but other lower kabals. after i control a large number of kabals i force a truce leave my master to think he is incharge along with the other leaders that trust me(as i did save them from the coups, my coups that but those that will lose everything if the Grand kabal falls in real power), I will make myself useful to vect and will not see myself as anything less then his tool. while this Human LEADS A Kabal. I will Sire Blanks as humans are the best blanks combined with some eldar. I will contune to serve my uses as i keep my childern in line(only under me, as my death will shatter them and shatter the resources of blanks Vect Needs). I Will create body doubles that think and act like me, But sterile. spread them around My kabal, as well as a rumor of another leader Eldar leader. will land half-eldar(blanks and my children) kin on planets i will colonize with "Pure" Eldar under my claws, with humans co-existing with xenos slaves. Raid the pure eldar, and drag a craftworld back to the darkcity as a prison for the 'Pure', Farm them as slaves as they are wroth more then lesser slaves, have a fall kabal for this in waiting. Build my empire(still vect's, but no dark eldar would dare stay outside the darkcity as she who thirst will smell them) outside of the darkcity with the tech of it, slowly build it up out of the few of the imperium until it reaches the right size. Eldar hidden,(with vects blessing only) i creep into the imperium and say i was always there, move for my seat at high lordship of Terra by pitting lords againist each other, "find" STC drives, making the imperium better but moving my Lords in place and take my seat, i will pull in other lords to High seats until We out number the others 3 to 9. i will say the 3 plan to betray the others in this group, and watch them take each other out and i install my lords 12 seats will be taken, Vect will rule the Imperium through me as it would i reset at my death. I will expand the imperium and use it to drive off choas.
Maybe i make a web way that my Imperium will use and push the dark city into the warp, killing me, all my kabal, all my lords in the prosses so vect will never see it comming. Bring a bright future to mankid
or contune to run vects shadow empire, where the dark eldar slowly creep out of the Darkcity, as mankind expands accross the universe well the dark eldar creep behind us.
