Maybe next time you want someone to do something, don't be a dick about it and they might be more willing to help." That asshole looked around at the scene they just made by practically yelling that at me, and out of the blue I heard some random dude spout off "Wow, you're a dick, he's homeless not a criminal" and the guy walked off. He tried filing a complaint to my department and they laughed him off... especially since I am a federal officer and cant enforce state or city law.
Lol, I'd be like, "you pay my salary? Cuz I thought it was that dude in the Chief's office!" Ik, taxes and payment methods, and I'm pretty sure the Chief doesn't handle salary anyway

When I was a teenager I had a job at JC Penny's. In school, THAT VERY WEEK in one of my classes we talked about how to spot a shop lifter. I spotted a guy that was doing EXACTLY what they told us to watch for. He was spending more time looking at other people than looking at the merchandise. So I got on the phone and called the store dispatcher and told them about the suspicious "shopper" I went back to keep an eye on him so I could point him out when store security showed up. Then his bag did something weird. It said, "We have a suspicious shopper in the mens department." Turned out he worked for store security, and he was doing what I had done. I went over to tell him that HE was the suspect. The next day I got called into the boss's office, sure I was going to be in trouble. Instead they gave me a check for $100, which was a good bonus back in 1987
I’m currently going to school, and doing tactics training for law enforcement. It’s always been my plan b after military, and this guy gives me the determination to push more.. Hell yea brother keep it up 💯
So I've thought of a good video which I don't think you have done yet. What is the difference, if any, between cops that drive the typical sedans, vs SUV's, Trucks, under cover, Motorcycles, pedal bikes, horses, segways even maybe? I guess basically the question is what are the different vehicles used by the police and what purpose does each one serve? And do certain cops only driver certain police vehicles? Also, have you ever driver any police vehicle other than your sedan styled ones? Everyone like this one so he can see it. Also add anything I might have missed about different police vehicles you might want to know more about. Take care and stay safe.
401 may not have seen this, and I know your comment is 2 years old, but Im also a police officer in another jurisdiction and I think I can answer your question for you. Generally speaking "it depends" is the answer to a lot of policing questions. Police departments employ different vehicle types to have versatile capabilities but may not be specific to a unit. For example, in my jurisdiction, patrol officers will drive Taurus, Explorer, Tahoe and Crown Vic simply because that's what's in the parking lot. The crown vics just hasnt been miled out yet and are still being used. We also have a combination of marked/unmarked vehicles for patrol. We tend to save the Explorers and Tahoes for the taller officers. That being said special units do have specialized vehicles of their own simply because they carry specialized equipment in them like a dog cage for K9, or high tech collision analysis equipment for the (qualified) traffic guys. Watch Commanders or Critical Incident Commanders tend to drive larger vehicles as well because they have tables, ladders and chairs (oh my) in them for incident management. So theres no one right answer on this one, and Dept. Policy might kick in too. But where I am, and a lot of places I know of, the fleet is just the fleet, take a car that works... just dont take "that" car because it has special stuff in it. If you see 2 cars, ones an unmarked Taurus the other a marked Explorer, they may simply be patrol guys in a different model of car... or a traffic specialist and a K9. "It depends."
They might not be physically strong, but they seem to be tough as steel when necessary and get the job done all the same. Anyway, that's my experience. Our high school had one.
I hated cops till I found this channel lol. I moved from minnisota to Louisiana and my new neighbor is a cop. I was so pissed!!! but after watching 401 I thanked my neighbor for his service. keep up the videos
This is the first time I have watched where he wasn't doing 70+ down the road. That is where I am usually focused, and today is was mid50s to 60ish. Such a change.
When you're trying to loose a tail everyday, I don't think you are in the mood to show your face to the whole world. Unless it's on the one-on-one, face-to-face basis. P.S. Maybe all that Mexican heritage BS is a crap he is trying to feed us. I remember him saying that he likes our President Trump. 😂 😂😂😉LOL
Eric Talbot that shit happened to me when I was a teenager. they pulled up and knocked on my window they could clearly see her and me, she was completely naked. I hopped out and said 'well, you caught me literally red handed' she got dressed and got out they asked if I had any drugs or alcohol, I told them I had a bowl packed with weed. they asked where and I told them under the driver seat. they couldn't find it so I went under and gave it to them. they sat around and bullshitted, meanwhile I'm standing against their car. well they got an 'emergency call' told me I was lucky and they all left, me and her were just staring at each other like what just happened. I got back in my car and they left me my bowl, carefully standing up to not spill the weed!! those cops were awesome. I smoked that shit while driving away hahahaha. I was a crazy teenager
@Sebastian LMAO. I had something similar happen twice, however without the weed. Both of these instances happened when I was 17 which was basically this time of year 10 years ago. First time, we were just getting started so no clothing was taken off yet. Cop pulls up behind us and comes up to the window, yadda yadda. Pulls my ex out of the car and asks if shes being held against her will. Obviously, she says no and that she lost her wallet and that is why we were both in the 2nd row "looking for it". He lets us go no problem. 2nd time, we were in full fledged doing battle in the back of my Jeep in a random shopping strip parking lot. She's on top and all the sudden goes "COP!", and sure enough there was a cop at the end of the strip with his spot light checking inside a store for whatever reason. She panics and says we gotta go. So we go. I turn on my jeep then take off but one of my taillights was blown out so the cop followed. Not I got a head start and took off, speeding until I was back in his sight (which then I slowed down). I had just managed to get my pants on, while driving mind you, when he flipped his lights on and I pull over. Now my ex got her shorts on and was wearing my t-shirt, and no bra.. Says he pulled me over bc of my taillight all the while staring at both of us somewhat awkwardly. Looks at my ex and says, "Ma'am, could you exit the vehicle please?" My ex gets out with sex hair, my shirt, her shorts barely on, sweaty, yadda yadda (looking back it was a hilarious sight). Asks her if she was being held against her will, which she says "no". And then he awkwardly admits to her that he really pulled us over because ..... and she politely interrupts him saying "because you thought we were having sex?". Real embarrassed, the officer starts trying to dismiss what she said that while stumbling over words. He sheepishly re-mentions the taillight and sends us on our way. My ex and I would continue to use that parking lot for roughly 80% of the nights over the next 2 months until high school started back from summer break. Oh man, the memories, too funny. I tried to trim as much out of the story as possible without sacrificing the essentials but still ended up writing a book. Oh well.
This is the most refreshing thing from a police officer, I am from UK so thanks for the great videos. I came across them today. It would be great to hear what was your funniest case and most heart breaking case as I think most people see cops just as aggressive rather than human and don't see the things you really go through every day.
I’ve came across your channel 2 weeks and I have watched every single video you have posted as if it were religion. You’re super transparent and down to earth and say whatever is in your mind and that makes things a hell of a lot easier to understand. No sugar coating just straight up knowledge with some insight and that makes for great content. Very informative as well and you’ve answered nearly every single question I have ever wanted to ask an officer of the law. The animations and little pop ups add to the spunk and it’s overall entertaining and informative. Keep making videos and posting your daily dose of keeping shit real and I’ll be a sub forever!
I totally am all about the "public servant" attitude when you are working. But, when you are off duty you are off duty. Period. You should not have to answer to anyone on your own time. Btw you are one of the few cops I've seen that are ethical and kind. Keep on doing what your doing and congrats on the detective promotion. I watch your videos to remind myself not all cops are power hungry sadists. 😊
I would like to know if it is possible for you to do a video about how to get into the proper lane/course of action for becoming a police officer. Can you explain what the requirements are, What type of education you have to follow, and most of all Can you explain the process to becoming an officer?
Azil DreamZ there are actually a few ways of becoming a police officer depending on where you live, you can speak with your local Community College as some of them offer police academies which financial aid will pay for, or you can pay for it yourself, some agencies most of them being State agencies will pay you and send you to their Academy. a lot of police departments are now requiring a minimum of 30 college credits before they will hire you some still don't do that, foremost agencies their minimum requirements are you have to be 19 years of age have to have a clean record and generally they go back 5 years on your driving history so you can't have too many speeding tickets, almost all departments want you to have a bare minimum of 2 years public contact experience which really means you have to have had a job like at Publix or Walmart just something that gives you public contact, in Florida the police academy is 770 hours and takes approximately six and a half months to complete at which point you can start applying
Well if it is anything like in Australia, the intake and education requirements vary from state to state not to mention he has an international audience (obviously, me being an Aussie) so a lot of what he himself has been through won't be relevant to the majority of viewers. He kind of has to be generic in the answer. I would suggest showing initiative and finding for yourself as much information for your local area before approaching the police service you want to work with and discussing with some of the senior officers (particularly recruitment) what they want in recruits and for tips on how to make yourself desirable. Speaking of my own experience in Aus, medics have gone from on road training for just a few years and a few months of theory to a University degree (in my case 4 years) and graduate year before qualification. Even then our universities are pumping out more students than the services need so doing patient transport or first responder work while at University gives you a leg up on the competition. Spend extra time working with vulnerable groups or in a position of responsibility to have excellent references on application. Know where your profession is heading and anticipate your future training needs (ie extended care practitioners in regional areas as nurses and doctors increasingly specialise and don't want to work in the bush). For police I can highly recommend further training on Mental health concerns (we utilise 56 here often with combative patients and require 56 for sectioning under our states law for involuntary patients)
Girl I used to date had a brother that was a cop we was drinking one night at his house and they tried to call him into work and he told them ( I'm not getting a DUI) and hung up on them LMAO
This cops attitude is awesome. unfortunately there isn't that many cops like these cause they are too serious or corrupt but I can tell this cop is a good cop. this is my second video I watched by him and it's good content :)
This attention to details is something I noticed with myself, too - even though I am just working as security guard. as for that three-turn-rule you mentioned: I'd say better safe than sorry.
No joke, for me, it's awesome that your videos are more narrative with just the inside of your car. I listen to your videos at work, boss is cool because it's not distracting.
Isaac McAuley that's actually a very good question! Usually your license gets suspended because you were doing something stupid. Chances are you're going to be suspended without pay. That is, if you don't get fired. there's no reason a cop should have their license suspended. We have had officers who's license has expired. They were suspended without pay until they got their license renewed.
I think if the officer will have his/her license suspended(most likely in his/her state). That officer does not deserve the honor to be an officer. But that's just my personal opinion.
Texas prosecutor here 🙋♂️ If a commission peace officer gives any lawful order and utters "I am law enforcement" AND shows credentials proving they are wether you actually believe it or not, wether they're in uniform or not, regardless of what state they're from,.....and you fight back, resist or ignore them it's a promise you will be sent to jail if not prison. I've never NOT seen that happen in all my years of my line work. Per all states police officers have "jurisdiction" in the entire state. This is sent down Lee federal law. It just may abnormal practice per police but their police powers extend through their entire state AND extend into other states. Just had a New Jersey police officer tackle a guy and kill him in the commission of a arrest while on vacation due to him assaulting a 7 year old boy and he is covered under qualified immunity due to his attempt to effect an arrest that he observed. In fact had he of not acted and we found out about it I'd file on him for neglect of duty.
...Even stupid-ass questions like: "Me and my boyfriend signed a lease on a truck and he took the truck and went to Oklahoma with someone else and I want the truck back?" Man, I've heard something to that effect way too many times.
Hell I'm not a cop but if some random girl asked me that I'd probably be like "Girl do I look like your lawyer?", I just really don't get why people would go badger a cop over what is clearly a matter of contract law that has nothing to do with the police.
I was around a group of off duty cops the other day..I was listening to there conversation..all I heard them say they were looking for bars to heavily drink
Funny story, I got stopped like 100 times and arrested with no charges a couple times, back when I had PTSD from getting the shit beat beat out of me for getting in between a gang and a girl they were hitting. It was such harassment that I started smoking weed to ignore it. Of course went to jail for a few days for that. And here I am still defending 95% of cops and trying to get them to help fix the broken system. Can you imagine if cops from all over the country descended on the few bad departments to provide external oversight? The good cops could stand up together and fix the bad departments like nothing if they organized and put their minds to it
I took a Citizens Law Enforcement Academy presented by the Gilmer County Sheriffs Office in Ellijay, GA. They said that only Deputy Sheriffs were sworn in with arrest credentials state-wide.
My dad is a sro at a middle school and on behalf of my family we would like to think you for your service and if you could please pin this comment. Thank you again.
officer401 Officer 401. I am sociologist/criminologist and from what was able to summarized, I think the real core question is probably what does an off duty officer do if he/she do if they observe if they see a blatant criminal act transpiring in their field of view ie shoplifting or an obviously intoxicated person fumbling for their car keys to get into their vehicle.
thank you these videos are awesome my husband and I met while we were police Cadets in high school and now we've been together for 15 years we chose Family Life over police life but it is awesome to see a little glimpse into that world still so thank you
I don't want you to do a face reveal. Safety, man. You, being a former officer, may have some criminals that hate you, or people that hate you in general, and frankly, it's not good if they know what you look like. Also, not knowing a RUclipsr's face makes the channel more interesting. Putting it out there.
jared carlquist Well, not in today's world. There are plenty of RUclipsrs who haven't shown their face on their videos and get hate either way. I know I'm late on this comment but better late than never. But you know what I say? Better on time than late 😂😂
But he's a cop, criminals that would have any reason to hate him were probably stopped or arrested by him at one point, so I mean I'm all for anonymity and all but trust me, he's in much more danger as a cop than he will ever be on the internet. If someone wants to find you, they will. Face reveal or no face reveal
+officer401 I discovered your channel late in the game, last Friday I think. I love it. Visiting family over the weekend, I stayed up all night Friday night binge watching. I got in trouble around 2-2:30 in the morning when I woke one up because you had me belly laughing (something no one has been able to do in a long time) during the video about the traffic accident diagram, the Apache helicopter and getting in trouble for that... it was totally worth the ass-chewing from the sister who was there for waking her up! Mind you, I was a good 30-40 feet away from the room she was in with her husband, and two closed doors between us, so you had me laughing hard. On a more serious note, thank you for what you do. I've always respected law enforcement, and it's just grown over the years. I'm 35 years old, and I consider myself blessed to not only know all of my grandparents and not lose the last living one til a few months ago, but also to know almost all of my great-grandparents. The reason I mention that is I saw the profound affect it had on my great-grandfather, even late in his life, witnessing his father get killed in the line of duty. In turn, it affected his family. My point in bringing that up isn't to make it about me or my family, but to say that in thanking you for what you do (all LEOs) that is just one of the things you risk each time you put the uniform on to go to work to keep us safe, and I wish that the pieces of garbage who so flippantly say things like "I hate cops, they're nothing but bullies" or something to that effect would consider that. I have a video idea on something I've heard a lot/seen online a lot, but it's completely false, and I think people need to realize it. "Routine traffic stop" unfortunately is a pretty common phrase and a false notion. I think it'd be a great topic to do one on, because hopefully people who assume there is such a thing would see it and it open their eyes. If you've already done one on that and I just haven't come across it yet, sorry! Sorry for the long post, and thanks for your time! Thanks again for protecting and serving, and I pray that you, all LEOs remain safe, God bless!
David WAKE UP! We live in a computer age. VIKI(Virtual Interactive Kenetic Intelligence) created a character that can interact with us. Why do you think you never see his face? Think about it.🤔
LOL. Funny commentary and so true. Bar hang out at close to the house has some cops, EMS, and dispatch that hangs out there and one night they have two picnic tables packed full. At least four are cops because I am a regular and know them. Some young kid walks out, sits at a table across from them, and pulls out a joint and starts to smoke it. I had to laugh but not of them said anything to him. After he he took his first hit or two I had to walk over and tell him " you know that's a table full of cops right there don't you? He took off so fast. Was so funny. Made my night.
You never cease to amaze, informative content that keeps me laughing! I think the term you were looking for is "situational awareness", pretty much the most important part of self defense for any citizen and certainly important in law enforcement! I'm definitely not perfect but it amazes me how much stuff gets by most people. I am scanning everybody (hands, eyes, posture) and everything (vehicles, dangerous equipment, spills) around me about 95% of the time while everybody else is staring at their phones.
Adidasp4 Everyone who goes through the police academy has to learn hand to hand combat skills, to disarm people safely, and many different ways of taking people down who don't want to be handcuffed. I don't know for sure what all they do, yet, but surely someone who is a cop could she'd some light on this. I've heard they have to do a good bit of hand to hand and chasing skills.
I know I’m late on your comment but, yes most academies and law-enforcement agencies require new recruits to go through some sort of defensive tactics training.Which encompasses mixed martial arts and wrestling in order to respond to resistance and use of force.
The academy doesn't really teach you those skills enough though. They mainly teach the basics. You have to go join an MMA gym on your downtime and train.
Question that doesn't really pertain to this video- I have a lot of respect for all service people that put their lives on the line (military, police, firefighters, etc), and so when I see people in uniform, I usually like to say something along the lines of "Thank you for your service," but recently an officer kinda gave me a weird look when I said it. I guess that I'm asking 1) Is it annoying to the officer for me to thank them in public, and should I not do that? and 2) Does it sound sarcastic? Because I definitely don't want to come across as a dickhead when I'm genuinely trying to thank someone. Thanks for the response!
Bro it’s not disrespectful wen u do that it’s some cops enjoy conversing some don’t some have bad days some are in good moods were human that’s all if u r just trying to b nice no one should get mad at you but everyone different bro just be yourself and do wat u feel is right just think before you talk lol
Daneil Wolf as a military police officer, I do not mind one bit. I love meeting people and talking to them about my experience and all that. But sometimes people have a long day. And they just want nothing to be home. Relaxing. I’d personally never just ignore someone like that. I’d probably just say thank you so much and continue walking. Don’t take it personal. We have a lot on our shoulders
its kinda funny im 14 and i do the same thing in the store or anywhere else. im constantly paying attention to people's body language and other things like that
I totally understand what you are saying about people's behavior and vehicles following you. My husband don't get it, but when we go out somewhere, like dinner, I always try to get by an exit and my back to wall so I can keep a look out. Being in this career field, you never know when or where something will happen.
Don't all cops drive around wearing cameras on their heads talking to themselves?
That dude on RUclips well duh have you been living under a rock?
That dude on RUclips HA!

"Not a damn thing!" lol that's great. Respect my authority!
Make a video talking about woman cops!
Cause some cops think their just not strong enough. Very interested to hear your opinion.
They might not be physically strong, but they seem to be tough as steel when necessary and get the job done all the same. Anyway, that's my experience. Our high school had one.
Oh Im not saying they don't belong in the job or anything, I hear they excel in domestics etc
m3m3 he already did
I would also very much appreciate this because i want to be a cop in the future and i am indeed a lady
Yes, I asked about that too
I hated cops till I found this channel lol. I moved from minnisota to Louisiana and my new neighbor is a cop. I was so pissed!!! but after watching 401 I thanked my neighbor for his service. keep up the videos
Sakyson You hated cops? Damn, you must be a bad ass.
@@bunnyhug4365 Some people just have misunderstanding of cops and what their job is
I can’t believe how nobody has still not noticed that his right wiper is broken
I can't unsee that now
Damn you.... Its such a distraction...
This is the first time I have watched where he wasn't doing 70+ down the road. That is where I am usually focused, and today is was mid50s to 60ish. Such a change.
I completely agree with you about the cars behind me!!! I am always looking and knowing what is behind me! So happy I'm not alone.
I cant wait to see that beautiful Hispanic face lol!
Esᴘɪᴏɴᴀɢᴇ Uɴɪᴛᴇᴅ I would be blushing right now, but it's hard to tell when you're Mexican.
Its not legit until I see that face, speaking in his voice. lol
@OF401 LMAO
officer401 HA
When you're trying to loose a tail everyday, I don't think you are in the mood to show your face to the whole world.
Unless it's on the one-on-one, face-to-face basis.
P.S. Maybe all that Mexican heritage BS is a crap he is trying to feed us. I remember him saying that he likes our President Trump.
😂 😂😂😉LOL
Have you ever caught people having sex in a car
Eric Talbot Yep
i got caught having sex in a car in my driveway at like three AM
Eric Talbot that shit happened to me when I was a teenager.
they pulled up and knocked on my window they could clearly see her and me, she was completely naked.
I hopped out and said 'well, you caught me literally red handed'
she got dressed and got out
they asked if I had any drugs or alcohol, I told them I had a bowl packed with weed.
they asked where and I told them under the driver seat. they couldn't find it so I went under and gave it to them.
they sat around and bullshitted, meanwhile I'm standing against their car.
well they got an 'emergency call' told me I was lucky and they all left, me and her were just staring at each other like what just happened.
Oh well.
Eric Talbot Dude I have caught a girl sticking her ass out of the window when I pull up to park my car lol.
Can we get a video of the consequences of bribed cops and were you ever bribed?
Consequences?!
[Dr Evil laugh.gif]
[Goodfellas laugh.gif]
LOL... Wtf kinda question is that?
Good question. I hope he makes a video of that
Shawn W LOL... "uhhh yea, dude gave me 5 g's not to get an armed robbery charge, it was a good day for both of us".
how is it a good question lmao hed probably lose his job and get alittle jail time its not legal obviously.
Keep making videos and posting your daily dose of keeping shit real and I’ll be a sub forever!
can you do a story on a event that made you want to quit or second guess your career. And what made you stay?
4:45
Officer401: "yeah, potatoes, I wanna mash those potatoes.."
Me: *Spits Rum & Coke out my nose laughing*
I totally am all about the "public servant" attitude when you are working. But, when you are off duty you are off duty. Period. You should not have to answer to anyone on your own time.
Btw you are one of the few cops I've seen that are ethical and kind. Keep on doing what your doing and congrats on the detective promotion. I watch your videos to remind myself not all cops are power hungry sadists. 😊
Very few cops are bad, but they’re the only ones who make the news.
I listen to youtube at work an awful lot and its nice just hearing you riff without depending on visuals to deliver the entertainment. Keep it up.
Im a former professional firefighter and September 11 responder. From Jackson county Mississippi. Love your Info brother! Stay blue & strong!
401 approves!
"Guys' are pigs." "Come on sweetheart; you are absolutely right." Ha!
MAKE VIDEO ON BRIBING PLIZ
good idea
saaberfly I like that idea
THIS
YESS
You should offer him some money to make that video :D
im currently going thru a LEA and we watched your video of showing whats in a cop car. keep the great vids comin!
That 3 turn rule actually helped me a few times. Been wondering where I heard that from, of course it was Officer401 aha.
What is your opinion on street racing ??
stop it.
buzz kill.
I think it would be an obvious answer, but at the same time would like to hear this as well.
Itsdeadred 1320!!
hell yeah brother
raining in the Vlog simply unacceptable
I'd like to mash those potatoes 😂😂😂😂
Thanx, partner. Stay safe and sound 🙏
Thanks, I really enjoy your perspective.
officer401 needs a new wiper blade
This was bugging me sooooooooo much!
Compwhiz128 I was looking for that comment, I knew it HAD to be there!!
A serious safety violation!
Your right side wiper is a 22", Mopar part # 68082556AA
ya It was bugging me as well
I just can't stop staring at it.
It looks hella sunny. But its raining
ItsTCK welcome to the south 👌
Girl I used to date had a brother that was a cop we was drinking one night at his house and they tried to call him into work and he told them ( I'm not getting a DUI) and hung up on them LMAO
This cops attitude is awesome. unfortunately there isn't that many cops like these cause they are too serious or corrupt but I can tell this cop is a good cop. this is my second video I watched by him and it's good content :)
This attention to details is something I noticed with myself, too - even though I am just working as security guard. as for that three-turn-rule you mentioned: I'd say better safe than sorry.
i drive a 2014 charger 12.5 hours a day. i'm perfectly content looking at the dash of your car. LOL
That window tint’s legality is highly questionable
I think. Hes mentioned its not legal but hardly anyone cares
We need a story of who follow you home.!!! anyone else?
87 year old grandma followed him all the way to his driveway.
Because she lives next door to him. 😂
Situational awareness is what I call it when I’m in a store checking out, or in any public place
No joke, for me, it's awesome that your videos are more narrative with just the inside of your car. I listen to your videos at work, boss is cool because it's not distracting.
What would happen if you lost your licence? Would you get suspended until it got back or can you do other things while not in your patrol car
Isaac McAuley that's actually a very good question! Usually your license gets suspended because you were doing something stupid. Chances are you're going to be suspended without pay. That is, if you don't get fired. there's no reason a cop should have their license suspended. We have had officers who's license has expired. They were suspended without pay until they got their license renewed.
officer401 thanks, your the first big RUclips who's replied to me. Thanks again for answering.
officer401 I think he means if you just forgot you license in a store or something what would you do because you can't drive
Riceclan581 gaming no I meant if it was suspended for doing something stupid 🙃
I think if the officer will have his/her license suspended(most likely in his/her state). That officer does not deserve the honor to be an officer.
But that's just my personal opinion.
Your check engine light is on did you check to see if it's still there
Also check that blinker fluid
"Can COPS stop you when OFF DUTY?"
We will never know
i mean he said it in the video?
Texas prosecutor here 🙋♂️
If a commission peace officer gives any lawful order and utters "I am law enforcement" AND shows credentials proving they are wether you actually believe it or not, wether they're in uniform or not, regardless of what state they're from,.....and you fight back, resist or ignore them it's a promise you will be sent to jail if not prison.
You do a great job with these videos Officer401, I do enjoy watching & being educated by your videos. They are great!
...Even stupid-ass questions like: "Me and my boyfriend signed a lease on a truck and he took the truck and went to Oklahoma with someone else and I want the truck back?" Man, I've heard something to that effect way too many times.
Hell I'm not a cop but if some random girl asked me that I'd probably be like "Girl do I look like your lawyer?", I just really don't get why people would go badger a cop over what is clearly a matter of contract law that has nothing to do with the police.
like sitting facing the door at restaurants.
I came here faster than responding code 3
GoatHunter 12 I got here faster than code 5
Or code 4
Aidan Schackmann code 4 is when the action is over....
Aidan Schackmann code 5 is when you do an armed arrest with find drawn... no sense lol
FUNKY MARILENE CAT 👍😂LMAO.
I was around a group of off duty cops the other day..I was listening to there conversation..all I heard them say they were looking for bars to heavily drink
You are so observant and right on.
situational awareness and what I call LEIP. Law enforcement induced paranoia
Who's that one DISLIKE?!😡
Jose Lopez - that one married guy that doesn't like potatoes 🥔
Kimo Lesui that was serious deep comment section gold.
Jose Lopez, people like __The Gatekeeper__ 👎
In some of these comments.
but... the inside of your car is amazing. faces are okay too
I recently started watching your videos, and I have to admit...I love em!
Your the best Officer 401!! Much respect and thanks for the great videos
officer 401 can you please do scariest/worst response calls you responded to?
so sweating in public is a clue? uhh some people have anxiety
edit - oh you addressed this, nvm
Funny story, I got stopped like 100 times and arrested with no charges a couple times, back when I had PTSD from getting the shit beat beat out of me for getting in between a gang and a girl they were hitting. It was such harassment that I started smoking weed to ignore it. Of course went to jail for a few days for that. And here I am still defending 95% of cops and trying to get them to help fix the broken system. Can you imagine if cops from all over the country descended on the few bad departments to provide external oversight? The good cops could stand up together and fix the bad departments like nothing if they organized and put their minds to it
True, some people have anxiety attacks in public, or are trying to overcome agoraphobia.
man if I could get a like or a comment from officer 401 that would make my shitty day awesome
I took a Citizens Law Enforcement Academy presented by the Gilmer County Sheriffs Office in Ellijay, GA. They said that only Deputy Sheriffs were sworn in with arrest credentials state-wide.
seeing cops like you on youtube makes me feel like cops are people and not machines
Is your right wiper broken? Or am I just hallucinating? o_O
Flippah no they need to be replace
Are you kidding me? you're not gonna explain about the time you got followed?? ummm video please lol
Michael M YEA
My dad is a sro at a middle school and on behalf of my family we would like to think you for your service and if you could please pin this comment. Thank you again.
ben whirley thank, not think
ben whirley I'm very picky about what comments I pin, but thank you so much for the support!
ben whirley you got a load of likes and a love from Officer. I've never gotten a reply or a love so consider yourself super lucky
officer401 Officer 401. I am sociologist/criminologist and from what was able to summarized, I think the real core question is probably what does an off duty officer do if he/she do if they observe if they see a blatant criminal act transpiring in their field of view ie shoplifting or an obviously intoxicated person fumbling for their car keys to get into their vehicle.
ben whirley You might have a chance after you fix your grammar and spelling he he he =)
You are talking about situational awareness. It is a good thing.
thank you these videos are awesome my husband and I met while we were police Cadets in high school and now we've been together for 15 years we chose Family Life over police life but it is awesome to see a little glimpse into that world still so thank you
I don't want you to do a face reveal. Safety, man. You, being a former officer, may have some criminals that hate you, or people that hate you in general, and frankly, it's not good if they know what you look like. Also, not knowing a RUclipsr's face makes the channel more interesting. Putting it out there.
Former officer? He's still an officer.
Good point. That strengthens my point even. He wouldn't want criminals to know what he looks like.
i can't speak for everyone but if you hate someone wouldn't you already know what they look like?
jared carlquist Well, not in today's world. There are plenty of RUclipsrs who haven't shown their face on their videos and get hate either way. I know I'm late on this comment but better late than never. But you know what I say? Better on time than late 😂😂
But he's a cop, criminals that would have any reason to hate him were probably stopped or arrested by him at one point, so
I mean I'm all for anonymity and all but trust me, he's in much more danger as a cop than he will ever be on the internet. If someone wants to find you, they will. Face reveal or no face reveal
You say you know about every car behind you... What do cops think of imports in particular "grey market vehicles" (Nissan Skyline..)? Thx!!
Enthusiast2024 irrelevant topics, you idiot
Yes like if he knows that its an illigal car would he have it impounded and crushed like you have to by law
Stay orange officer401. You need a new passenger windshield wiper btw...
Jeez, you're right!
Not a Danm thing. .
end quote...
Gotta Love this Guy.
what scared you the most going into training?
I don't care, you're my favorite person in the world besides Jesus Christ himself
David Jesus loves you anyways
David WAKE UP! We live in a computer age. VIKI(Virtual Interactive Kenetic Intelligence) created a character that can interact with us.
Why do you think you never see his face? Think about it.🤔
Who wants a story ab his fist fights off duty and on duty
Are cops required to have any hand skills? And do you have? Like some MMA or something
Daneil Wolf don't say that to cops lmao
We have a lot on our shoulders
its kinda funny im 14 and i do the same thing in the store or anywhere else. im constantly paying attention to people's body language and other things like that
Generally Obsessed same I'm 15 and its actually really entertaining sometimes
Generally Obsessed im 13 and I do the same because I had a guy pull a gun on my grandma and I shoved home and almost got shot
I'm one dumb yet ballast mofo
I do it for fun in class. Adds self-awareness.
I totally understand what you are saying about people's behavior and vehicles following you. My husband don't get it, but when we go out somewhere, like dinner, I always try to get by an exit and my back to wall so I can keep a look out. Being in this career field, you never know when or where something will happen.
tbh i have never sat down and watched your videos but more like listened to ALL of your videos like a podcast when im at work
